The Art of Going Nuts

The Art of Going Nuts.
In today's society, insanity is an amateurish business. Most who indulge in this "black art" are merely opportunists, just trying to skip out on a few first-degree murder convictions, which any cunning nut would jump on for notoriety's sake. The fact is, psychosis has been completely railroaded by the pharmaceutical business. The specter of prolific profit margins permeates our entire culture, including the venerable pursuit of insanity in it's purest forms. A homogenization of cultures has taken place, thus lowering the wacko bar far, far lower than it is in reality; therefore, giving any crackpot the pleasure of being unfit. It used to take work, like hundreds of psychedelic mind bends, culminating into a cosmic excursion, flying out of a window into the freedom of death via a concrete nose job, hours of paint-chip eating, rubber cement sniffing parties, and the ever-popular third-world "paint mustache" to reach the black belt of psychosis. Of course, a few drops on the head, or a sports related concussion can lead into this as well, but most likely a leviathan self destructive streak, motivated by hate for one's self, disgust with the world, or a sick twisted sense of humor are the only righteous paths to the straight-jacket; furthermore, alternative lifestyles have been venerated, thinning the peanut barrel even moreĀ… Gay, Transsexual, Eunuch, Bulimic, Anorexic, Body Dysmorphic, ADD, ADHD, HPPD, STD's, everything is fair game. What happen to the fucking lepers? Dammit, we need more freaks to fight off the over-weight, middle-aged, middle-class, over-worked, under-paid, hyphenated binary word types in our society.

that's all I got so far... I was basing it of of Tzu Sun's "The Art of War", but "Institutionalization For Dummies", was another Idea.

I'm tellin' the band that you get to write the lyrics you Neil Peart wannabe!

Give me the judgment of balanced minds in preference to laws every time. Codes and manuals create patterned behavior. All patterned behavior tends to go unquestioned, gathering destructive momentum.

True and well written. Theres a fine line between the gifted and the insane. We are one repressed culture. We are taught that emotions are bad and that to feel angry or sad is wrong and can be deleted with pills or shopping.
There are still freaks in the world if you step outside the predominantly western cities.
