Quote:ethylene dibromide

Quote:What is EDB and how is it used?
Ethylene dibromide (EDB) is a colorless, heavy organic liquid with a mildly sweet chloroform-like odor. Ethylene dibromide is mainly used in anti-knock gasoline mixtures, particularly in aviation fuel.

Sterilization of the populace? Can you imagine if the whole male populations found out that we are being sterilized? What will we do to the beast? Cut his nuts in tiny pieces for sterilizing the male population...?

Pretty much thanks. It makes sense to me because if they really were chemtrails, they are aimed too high for us to suffer from. What we should be discussing is the California fires, its been raining ashes in my city for the past few days. A few old neighbors suffered from asthma attacks and the ambulances kept rushing down. Mexica could probably tell us more since he lives in the OC.

Im still neutral:popcorn:

Well, that's particulates for you. No particulates are safe, other than those you'll find in a shower (maybe).

Much CT anxiety originates in word-of-mouth, formulation of belief, and a search for information which confirms that belief. This is what a scientist would call "confirmation bias", and the avoidance of it is part of his training. It is much better to look for ALL the evidence first, before you formulate any type of belief. Personally, I attempt never to hold a belief, and search myself continually for any hidden assumptions I possess. Understanding (never perfect!) is NOT belief, but it's the best we can hope for - I believe. :)

Needless to say, I also believe that you won't find any EVIDENCE for chemtrails by Googling "chemtrails" - you merely discover either uninformed lay opinion or active and malevolent persuasion and falsehood. You'd do better WIKIing "contrails", "stratosphere", "humidity", "saturation", "gas-turbine", etc.

The best site I know for dispelling CT allusions and illusions is http://contrailscience.com

Nik, if you think that adding stupid graphics is some way out of EDB, then you're an idiot.

Ethylene dibromide was added to leaded gasoline in order to dissolve lead oxide which was deposited in internal combustion piston engines. And that's the end of it.

Gas turbines differ greatly from piston engines: they don't reach the compression and don't need "anti-knock" additives.

There's no way that EDB would EVER be added to kerosine for combustion in gas turbines, and while you may joke about it, you merely fall away in my appreciation. Don't do that.

Yes. Apart from that I think you're very respectable and certainly diligent. You lack a certain ability to make distinctions, maybe. Just don't "poke the snake" with stupid graphics.
I don't expect to be impressed by your JP-8 work. People shouldn't ever handle hydrocarbons. They penetrate human skin extraordinarily quickly and can transport materials which rapidly arrive at and cause irreversible damage to the liver.
Hydrocarbons are typically "purified" by distillation and cracking from petroleum, which is a vast mixture of thousands of discrete and complex hydrocarbons. The more processes this mixture goes through then the simpler it tends to become, but the fact is that there is always a mixture of "impurities" in the final product. These could be separated out by reacting with a reagent, or crystallization, etc, but the cost increase frequently precludes it. And so they remain... Hence the Seveso disaster with the unfortunate exposure to 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD), and the horrible 2,4-D "Agent Orange" in Vietnam.
But, closer to home, there were open coal fires in everyone's houses within living memory, and your average garden bonfire emits a list of carcinogens (even before people throw on polystyrene and PVC) which would make the hairs on the back of your neck stand erect...
The world's a dangerous place.... come to JazzRoc for free daily egg-sucking courses...
