direct link to a chat
Hi guys...

I was wondering if there was a way to make a direct link on the tracker (like there is for the forums and for the banned torrent list) above the shoutbox for an webased chat or for a real-time chat on irc networks ? It is very difficult for some to find the chatroom on the tracker. I believe alot of people like to have realtime debates and possibly why alot of people visit and support concen.

disabling shoutbox is not a wise move imo because for people who were in discussion at the time that it happened, well it will make things seemed biased. Thoughts and expressions should be free to all and people should not fear being banned for their feelings but instead people should feel the threat of a ban for not following the rules of the tracker/banned torrent list/ect..

is there a way to set up a chat, I have met many interesting people here on concen and sometimes a forum is not the best way because in a realtime conversation you can grasp a much better feel of someones emotion behind a discussion. forums are great on one hand but realtime is equally as powerful if not more so...

it's pretty hard to find the irc chat and if it was made alot easier i believe people would have their conversations there instead of in the shoutbox, I have seen web based chats I just can not remember what they are called.

thanks for any info... or if someone could show us an easier way to get to a chat mabye direct link on the main page of the tracker ?

I was a bit surprised to see the shoutbox missing today but it does seem to frequently be filled with nonsensical blather. Other times it gets into lively discussions and sometimes people just trade insults. I do not suppose it needs to be kept in its present form and could be replaced with something else. I do think it would be useful to keep it for the moderators to discuss various things to do with moderation.

I am really quite sorry the shoutbox was shut down in the middle of a religious conversation, and I hope us followers of a faith did not offend the owners of this site. There is a bigtime conspiracy here at the site and I am not just talking about the name of the site or the torrents.

People use multiple usernames anyway and that in itself is just low, for instance after talking with someone for just over a month you can eventually learn how people word sentences and react to certain comments from others or by their interest in certain subjects only (those people surely are not fooling everyone)

I just wanted to voice my opinion here in the rants/raves section and what is really meesed up is that it was a total inside job because two people who believe in god were 'winning' in essence in a conversation with non-believers. It is very uncool to want people to respect your beliefs but not be able to turn that blind eye to others feeling. In my opinion moderators should not try to dictate terms to others and have them in constant fear of being banned, this is just total hogwash people on the forums really want to think Bush is so bad ? Well I hate to inform but it is people such as this that turn in Hitler exspecially when they are given power. (not a very good example)

My rant is... why ban anyone, why try to sway peoples right to "freedom of speech" ? there are many forums and chats on the web that us believers can easily find but we seem to get our point across without insulting anyone, and shutting down the shoutbox only supports this fact, It was very low...

I really enjoyed this place for the time that I spent here and the only reason i frequent with my uber upload speed and contribute to the tracker was mainly because of the shoutbox. If anyone asked me to seed something, even if it was not in my line of thought (I did'nt care) and still seeded anyway just to support the community. Freedom of speech is obviously not allowed here and it should have been posted in the faq alot more clearly and mabye you can avoid the holy-rollers ever even logging into this site by stating the site is either satanist or atheist, we would have avoided it like the plague.

at any rate, I hope I do not get a ban for just posting this (my feelings) because others do have feelings you know, and I hope the powers that be may realize they are just breeding NWO prototypes by dictating these type of freedom of speech terms to others.

it's a bigtime conspiracy...

The Shoutbox IMHA was a bit of fun and also quite handy..if it hasnt been removed due to some glitch or technical difficulty then its just pure censorship.im shocked..it is banning free speech on the site..and as for having it just for mods..smacks of eliteism..(i think that is a word)..Yes if people want to talk there is the forum..But the shoutbox was so handy....Right thats my twopenneth worth..

sadly this is not possible, nor is the converse. I do not think there is any such thing as a conspiracy in regards to the administration of the tracker. At the same time you have to realize that any such discussion as you talked about is largely futile. At best you can try to argue logically about something which defies logic and inherently relies on faith, in other words questions that by their very nature are unanswerable and at worst you can push peoples buttons to get a reaction. That is what the forums are for. I do not believe that the shoutbox is intended as a place for childish bickering or nonsensical maundering. A great deal of that has been tolerated. If you cannot see that your rhetoric is getting excessive reactions and it is time to let it go then you are as much at fault as those whose reactions appear out of proportion. Having this functionality on the tracker where it cannot be escaped is just asking for trouble.

It would be really great to post the transcript from the shoutbox history mabye the last 20 or 30 min's before it was shut down...

But you are correct in a sense and I will just leave it alone, my only concern now is if we get into these heavy topics here on the forum are people at risk of being banned ? This is obviously a constant fear many of us who want to contribute are living under.

Is there a section on this forum like other places (Anything Goes) ? where we could talk with others without fear. Some of us have just met others on this tracker and that is specially why I like the shoutbox.

also is there a chatroom on irc ? if so can someone post the link, the ones I have clickd on seem to setup a room where I am @OP.

BTW:

I was called a troll by a moderator in the shoutbox, but I rather think I am a debater. Trolls do not post letter length posts they usually use one-liners...
But if I am truely trolling please someone let me know, I have never been called/accused of this type of charge before.

http://conspiracycentral.info/index.php?showforum=1 appears to be anything goes for the most part. I cannot say that I use this forum much, nor can I be sure that you cannot run afoul of a harried moderator here either. Sadly people's real life frustrations often gets taken out on the 'unsuspecting' internet.

As far as free speech goes, it really does not exist anywhere except wherever nobody else can hear it because language is no more than a tool and any tool can be abused. Essentially, anything you say on somebody else's website can be held against them while you can remain relatively anonymous depending on your technological expertise. So no you cannot expect to say anything you want.

One thing I think is clear about the people who run this site and that is they do not like being accused of having ulterior motives. I do not know ctrl personally and have had little contact with him myself but I do know yeti and have for known him for longer than the internet has been around. He is not out to get you, whoever you are. He is genuinely concerned about the state of the world and does this to contribute. To accuse him otherwise is to push his buttons and does not help.

Here's the code of conduct for the forum:

Quote:Conspiracy Central: A forum in the truest sense of the word. An uncensored arena of ideas, a place to exchange knowledge and information, to engage in debate and controversy, and to lay one's thoughts and beliefs on the line. A place of open-minded yet skeptical, and always unabashedly fearless truth seeking.

Politics, History, Big Brother, RFID, Snooping, Chemtrails, HAARP, Weather Modification, Secret Societies, Wars and Rumors of Wars, Assassinations and Mystery Suicides, Increasing Populations Dwindling Resources, Peak Oil, GM Foods, Money Matters, Area 51, High Strangeness and UFO's, Economics, State Sponsored Terror, Religion Occult and Spirituality, Science Technology and Discoveries, Landmine Legislation, Mind Control and MKULTRA, Breaking the Chains of the Control System, Health and Environment, Computer Security, War on Drugs, Zionism, Survival, and anything under the sun.

Media in all forms: news, books, documents, audio, radio shows, photos, documentaries, Google and Youtube videos, and music videos.

The values of Conspiracy Central are:
  • Humility<>
  • Respect<>
  • Tolerance<>
  • Objectivity<>
  • Balance<>
  • Sustainability<>
  • Fearlessness<>
  • Liberty and Free Will<>
  • Freedom of Speech / Non-Censorship<>
  • Challenging All Unjust or Arbitrary Authority<>
    [st]
Conspiracy Central does not discriminate based on race, gender, creed, age, or personal beliefs. There is no place here for blind hatred. All humans on the planet Earth are equally slaves to the control system until we learn to think for ourselves, and think objectively. No one is too young or old to wake up and overcome the programming of society. We welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs, with the caveat that you must show respect and tolerance towards the beliefs of others. That being said, tolerance is not the same as agreement. All information and perspectives presented in the spirit of educating others and inspiring debate are welcome here. Conspiracy Central is not a place of proselytizing or preaching, but of earnestly seeking the truth.

Conspiracy Central does not believe in censoring information of any kind. How can this forum truly be an arena of ideas if certain types of information are arbitrarily excluded? Besides, seeing how disinformation works first-hand can be just as instructive as any primer on COINTELPRO.

On the other hand, the administration here at ConCen has little tolerance for childish, insulting, or derogatory behavior. If you cannot engage in a debate without sinking to ad hominem (personal) attacks, then you may as well not waste your time and everyone else's by posting. Keep the debates intellectual, and you won't have a problem.

Links to other websites and sources of information are allowed and encouraged, as long as you are not blatantly trying to advertise another website or forum as an alternative to Conspiracy Central. If you want to advertise something, place it in your signature. (No spam!)

The server that hosts Conspiracy Central is payed for solely by donations. If you like Conspiracy Central, and want to support it's continued operation, please consider donating.

Welcome to Conspiracy Central, and enjoy the strong sense of community, lively debates, and vast array of information all available at the click of a button.

This means that you can even accuse someone of being a COINTELPRO agent, but you damn well better have some solid supporting evidence to back it up. This site is about truth and facts and intelligent discussion not childish name calling. Expressing differing views is critical and encouraged.

All posts are subject to comments from all members and they will be put through a trial by fire of peer review for accuracy and validity among others.

This particular situation is being addressed.

I used to run an irc server myself which used SSL encryption, i also offered a long time ago on conspiracy central if people wanted to use it, but no1 ever bothered, i dont run it anymore, however there is a channel on Quakenet IRC servers.

Unless you already have a Client to connect to an irc server, here's one http://www.hydrairc.com/

Find the Quakenet server near you, they have servers in Europe and US, Then connect and join a room/channel called #conspiracycentral its been there for a good few yrs, but anyone interested in irc can chat real time in there, be aware tho that the channel not having many users, is almost always very quiet, if you want to give it a try, then join. but dont join expecting an imediate response from all users, you Will not get that unless users are there at the keyboard, be patient and someone will answer any questions, if more users join from CC, then it will be more active, the choice is yours.

Usually i dont use the forum and rarely used the shout box, but i thought it was handy to have, and sometimes just read some of the comments, and i stopped using the forum a long time ago, because there is no such thing as free speech on here, if you say something the admin or mod dont agree with you can more or less say Bye Bye to your login, as i probably will on this occasion, but it doesn't matter i never use this shit anyway.

The instructions for using irc are basic, but should get most users connected and joined to the channel easily enough.

Bye Bye

Can you run that by me again ? I surely do not live in China or any Arab nation and I have never name-called anyone on the shoutbox or this forum for that matter.

can anyone see that is exactly what the NWO want others to think and believe ? that freedom of speech does not exsist !

that blows my mind
