Atheist Advertising Campaign on UK Transport
I saw this a few days ago and thought this might be an appropriate place to post it.

Thoughts?

Personally I think this is a pretty damn good idea.:)

"There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life"

whats with the 'probably' ? Surely for atheists it should read

"There's a vital reason for the "probably"'s inclusion: as with the Carlsberg ads, it's likely to get us around the advertising regulations (specifically points 3.1, 3.2, 5.1, 8.1, 9.1 and 11.1 in the general rules of the CAP Code, which regulates non-broadcast adverts in the UK). In my view, neither version of the slogan breaches the code, but CAP has advised that "the inclusion of the word 'probably' makes it less likely to cause offence, and therefore be in breach of the Advertising Code."

Quoted from: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/20...-ariane-sherine

The CAP code can be found here: http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/codes/cap_code/C..._id=19#expanded

Hope this answers your question. Any opinion about the campaign besides the semantic nit-picking?:)

I think that we humans should just quite advertising pro or con on god entirely, b/c none of us seem to know the truth.

It's fine to have opinions, preferred books or theories, it's fine to have study groups, or visit buildings that claim to be places of worship, or knowledge, ect...
But I think that there should be NO mass advertising, to help complicate the issue further, because we just don't know.
we don't know if there is or isn't a god or gods
we don't know what god is, if there god
It's seems to always be - we think or feel, or we want you to think or feel, yet it is presented as fact and not theory. The "we want you" usually if not always come along with an agenda, typically the pro god agenda is "give me your tithe, so I may be more wealthy." The con god agenda appears to be, changing ethics, morals and values, more toward their preferred lifestyle.

The search for truth about this particular matter is enough to drive one bonkers !!!
&Alice laughed, &There's no use trying,& she said: &one can't believe impossible things.& &I daresay you haven't had much practice,& said the Queen. &When I was your age I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.&

At NASA, it really is rocket science, and the decision makers really are rocket scientists.
But a body of research that is getting more and more attention points to the ways that smart people working collectively can be dumber than the sum of their parts. .. Irwin Janis? &Groupthink:& is a mode of thinking that people engage in when they are deeply involved in a cohesive in-group, when the members' striving for unanimity override realistic appraisals ? It is the triumph of concurrence over good sense, and authority over expertise.&

Since it can't be decided for sure among us, why else would you advertise something like that?
To cause a controversy and to stir up conflict to keep the public distracted while the police state "globalism" is put into place.
