Quote:the meek will inherit the earth

I've often thought about that line - I ask myself the question 'but what will be left of it'? It might even be a warning not to be meek!

And I as well. I was once told when I was younger that it was the mentally handicapped that were considered "the meek". What little sense it made, I never looked deeper into it but it always sparked a curiosity to understand what was truly meant by that.

looking here you can see many different translations as well as the original words and meaning
http://scripturetext.com/psalms/37-11.htm

I found this pretty interesting:

But the meek
translated from: `anav (aw-nawv')
depressed (figuratively), in mind (gentle) or circumstances (needy, especially saintly) -- humble, lowly, meek, poor.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
shall inherit
translated from: yarash (yaw-rash')
to occupy (by driving out previous tenants, and possessing in their place); by implication, to seize, to rob, to inherit; also to expel, to impoverish, to ruin
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the earth
translated from: 'erets (eh'-rets)
the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world.

That middle part was especially interesting to me. Totally not the definition of inherit that I was thinking, but is justifiably what's needed.

<span style="color:#FF0000">The Maitreya Project is an international organisation, operating since 1990, set up to construct a 152 metre (500 ft) statue of the Maitreya Buddha, in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, along with education and healthcare facilities for the local population. The design brief for the statue includes a specification for the statue to last for 1,000 years.

The statue is remarkable in its size and scope; the covering over the internal steel truss structure is proposed to be of "approximately 6000 aluminium-bronze panels... cast from resin-bonded sand moulds."

The project was initiated by the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition, an organisation within the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism.

Percy Bysshe Shelley
Ozymandias

I met a traveler from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed.

And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

MAITREYA RISING?
Quote:6. Global Groups Destined to Think for Humanity
A group of human deputies has already taken up the mantle of world management in the name of the the UN and the Hierarchy.
6a. A milestone conference was held in 1995, dubbed "The State of the World Forum", and sponsored by the Gorbachev Foundation. In attendance were more than 400 of the power elite from 50 countries, under the guidance of Mikhail Gorbachev, James Baker and George Shultz (one former Communist dictator and two former US Secretaries of State). The strong power base of the conference was further underlined by the presence of personages like billionaire "eco-warrior" Maurice Strong, former UN mogul Robert Muller, former US National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, former US President George Bush, former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, network media-maker Ted Turner, print media giant Rupert Murdoch and computer media prince Bill Gates. [African National Congress leader Thabo Mbeki was almost comical when he expressed pleasure at representing the poor and suffering African peoples in this forum, which is so unlike other global circles where "the world's agenda is addressed only by the powerful."] The strong New Age orientation was evident from other participants: Barbara Marx Hubbard, John Denver, Shirley MacLaine, Matthew Fox, Carl Sagan, Jeremy Rifkin, Willis Harman and Deepak Chopra.

Ted Turner gave an Executive Summary of the Forum's task: "To help chart the way for humanity." Gorbachev elaborated: "To launch a multi-year process, culminating in the year 2000, to articulate the fundamental priorities, values and actions necessary to constructively shape our common future.... We are in dire need of redefining the parameters of our society's economic, social, political and spiritual development." [This kind of priority would confirm the claim by Benjamin Creme in a 1998 radio interview with Art Bell, that Mikhail Gorbachev is a Maitreya disciple.] The steering committee which will "reinvent the paradigm of our existence" is to be called the "Brain Trust", described as "a kind of United Nations Council of Elders." They are not identified further except as (in the words of John Naisbitt) "leaders who will lead by 'moral authority'.... The point is not what [such a leader] is going to do; the point is who he is going to be." [Track record of performance is thus replaced by spiritual destiny. Or perhaps this refers to who his body is hosting.]

The areas in most "dire need" were discussed, leading gradually to the bottom lines found at every NA forum. (1) From Gorbachev: "To change the nature of consumption." [Oddly, none of Gorbachev's well-heeled listeners, much less Gorby himself, "redefined" any "parameters" by refusing to pay $5,000 a head to stay at the luxurious Fairmont Hotel and enjoy the fabulous dinners created by a flock of famous chefs recruited for the Forum....] (2) To "address the problem of controlling the world's population." [See the recommendation of Dr. Keen, another Forum participant.] (3) From Brzezinski: To move toward "eventual globalization [by] progressive regionalization," since "national sovereignty is no longer a viable concept." [Precisely the UN's multi-stage goal of Global Governance, already in progress.] (4) From Kassa Kebede, former UN ambassador: To transfer armaments (especially those of the US) to "international control" and form a standing army under UN command. [More goals of the UN - see "Our Global Neighborhood: The Report of the Commission on Global Governance" mentioned above.] (5) From Willis Harman, President of Noetic Sciences: To usher in "a new social order" which acknowledges "the connectedness of everything, an emphasis on intuition and the assumption of inner divinity." (6) From Rupert Sheldrake, Theosophist: To tap into the "morphogenic field" which connects all life and thought and provides access to "the Ageless Wisdom".

Last, but in NA priorities definitely not least: Fritjof Capra, author of an essay distributed free to all participants ("The Turning of the Tide", printed in _ReVision: A Journal of Consciousness and Transformation_, Fall 1993) condemns "the Judaeo-Christian tradition" for supporting male domination and the superiority of rational thinking, for "anti-ecological" attitudes, and for hindering the proper understanding of nature. Its "image of a male god [sic], personification of supreme reason and source of ultimate power, who rules the world from above by imposing his divine law on it", and the view that natural laws are "reflections of this divine law, originating in the mind of God", must inevitably make way for the new spiritual path of the future.

6b. Special military branches are being prepared to help maintain order on behalf of the Hierarchy, using not only conventional force but also psychic powers acquired by initiation. Among these are the "First Earth Battalion" of "guerilla gurus" founded by Barbara Marx Hubbard; and the "Task Force Delta", a strategy-planning division of the US Army utilizing psychologists and parapsychologists (where Hubbard is also a member). Colonel John B. Alexander, co-author of _The Warrior's Edge_, advocates psychic weapons for mind manipulation of the "enemy" and discusses the use of "remote viewing" (clairvoyance and mind-reading) with the casual attitude of someone long past the introductory stage of initiation: "[The] ethical difficulties [of remote viewing] are not unlike those involved with the introduction of any other new, invasive technology [sic]." (p.154) The Colonel's concern for ethical standards is heartening - until we read how he "resolves" the difficulties: "All intelligence techniques require ruthlessness, duplicity, and absolute integrity. No, these are not contradictions in terms. If you are using influence technologies correctly, you can and will achieve your objective by the manipulation of others. Recognize what you are doing; we do. If this manipulation is for the eventual benefit of these others as well as yourself, then you are adhering to the warrior ethic." (p.216)

6c. The working class of the new humanity is organized as "The New Group of World Servers", often shortened to NGWS. [Please acquaint yourself with the NA notion of "service", which is not what most people associate with the word.] Not all World Servers are consciously serving the Plan, however - this group is multilevel, ranging from full initiates "who are consciously part of the Great White Lodge" to ordinary folks who "respond to the idealism" and know nothing of the Hierarchy. (_Discipleship in the New Age_ II, p.204) All individuals who are considered fit for the New Age will be required to "serve" as an expression of their "love". Those who are not considered eligible include "those people who, clinging to reactionary methods of finding and expressing truth, prefer obedience to authority to clear thinking and self-imposed guidance of their own soul." (_The New Group of World Servers_, Lucis Trust, p.3) [Read that one again, friends: Those who refuse to totally surrender to the Masters' absolutist authority are accused of clinging to an outmoded "obedience to authority", and people who insist on the freedom to form and follow their own individual convictions rather than unquestioning NA group-think are guilty of rejecting "clear thinking" and the "guidance of their own soul". George Orwell's 1984 "Double-Speak" has arrived.]

Quote:Freemason and co-founder of Lucifer Publishing Company (now called Lucis Trust), Foster Bailey, concurs, "Is it not possible from a contemplation of this side of Masonic teaching that it may provide all that is necessary for the formulation of a universal religion?"(The Spirit of Masonry, p.113) Foster Bailey states that Masonry "is the descendant of, or is founded upon, a divinely imparted religion..." This religion he explains, "...was the first United World Religion. Then came the era of separation of many religions and sectarianism. Today we are working again towards a World Universal Religion."

Quote:From these existing groups (New Age plants) in all fields of work — political, religious, social, scientific, educational and cultural — will be formed a nucleus who will be trained directly by the Master himself. Gradually they will be called upon for help and advice by governmental agencies, and their effective power to influence governmental decisions will increase. THEY CAN THUS DIRECTLY LAY THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER.

Administrative and Governmental positions will be offered to certain members of the inner group who can then directly implement the needed changes. In this way a gradual transformation of society will be made...

The Hierarchy has plans already made and ready to put into effect. These involve the reconstruction of the world financial and economic order. A group of high initiates, themselves economists, industrialists, and financial experts of great experience and achievement, are working with the Hierarchy and have evolved a series of blueprints, alternative inter-related plans, which will solve the redistribution problems which are at the basis of the present world crisis. These can and will be speedily implemented when the need is seen and accepted, which acceptance will be forced on the United Nations of the world by the weight of a now informed public opinion. The cry for help and justice from the poor and starving nations will be too loud and too dramatic to ignore. THE STAGE WILL THEN BE SET FOR THE [ANTI]CHRIST TO MAKE KNOWN HIS PRESENCE AND LEAD MANKIND INTO THE AQUARIAN EXPERIENCE.

Quote:Do you accept the interpretation of Lucifer as the Fallen Angel of Evil? (Maitreya's teachings on religion)

No, I do not. I think this is a complete misunderstanding of Lucifer by christian teaching. The name 'Lucifer' means, literally, 'light'. The word comes from the latin root: lux, lucis - light; and fer, ferre - to bring. It means therefore, light-bringing and is the name of the planet Venus as the morning star.

Far from being evil it is pure light. In the esoteric teaching, Lucifer is the name for the great angelic Entity who embodies the human kingdom on the soul plane.

MAITREYA RISING?
Quote:Wayne S. Peterson, a 32-year career diplomat posted in Asia, Africa and Latin America and recently retired as a director of the Fulbright Scholarship Program, has come forward to speak about his extraordinary experiences with influential world figures. He asserts that personal friends of the pope, businessmen close to the president and leaders of foreign governments including reigning monarchs know, as he does, that a group of highly-evolved spiritual teachers led by one referred to as Maitreya, the World teacher are about to make their presence known on a world-wide scale. Barbara Simpson - hostess of the radio show "Critical Times" which is broadcasted nationwide in the US - conducted the following interview with him on Coast-to-Coast-AM on June 24th 2000.

"It is much bigger than you think!"

Interview with Wayne S. Peterson by Barbara Simpson

B. S.: Wayne, you say that you have met many people and through meeting these people you started to learn something else. What are some of these other things?

W. P.: I will start in the year 1982 because that is where things really began to change for myself. When I was watching TV one evening I hit on the old Merv Griffin Show from Hollywood. He used to do a couple of interviews, they were usually very short, ten minutes, and he went on to the next guest. But on this night I was quite intrigued, because he said, he was only going to have one guest: a man named Benjamin Creme from London, England.

To help him with this interview Merv had also invited his friend Gore Vidal, one of Americas best know authors perhaps. Gore Vidal himself had written a book about eastern mysticism and spiritual beings and was rather interested in Mr. Cremes book which was entitled "The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of Wisdom". I remember Merv holding that up to the camera and say "We will be right back" and I thought how weird this was for Merv Griffin, what was up with him.

When they came back they went into this very long discussion, and Mr. Creme basically said that he knows that the one that Christians refer to as the Christ is back and he does not come alone. He said that people have different names for this man but Mr. Creme called him Maitreya. After I heard all from Mr. Creme about how the Christ is back to help humanity because we have gotten ourselves in such deep trouble that it literally needs the intervention from the spiritual hierarchy as he referred to it, I found this interesting and decided to go out and buy the book.

When I finally read it through, I found it really bizarre and didn't think that I was ever going to be involved in this or hear much more about it. If Mr. Creme was right as he said that Maitreya would eventually appear on television, first in the US and then internationally, I thought "well, sit back and wait for the TV show".

B.S.: Exactly. Let me just ask you in terms of the program. Did Merv Griffin and Gore Vidal treat this as what you would say legitimate?

W.P.: Absolutely. It was a very serious discussion. I was very much surprised how Gore Vidal thought the book was quite fascinating and Merv took it very seriously. I think that's one of the reasons that I took it seriously enough to go out and buy the book myself. By coincidence I heard about this again while I was standing in the parking lot one day, waiting for two women to get in their car.

They were talking about going to a lecture from Mr. Creme who would be in Washington D.C., otherwise I would never have heard about it. So they gave me the number and address of someone who knew all the details. There was a private meeting with forty people, which I got invited to, on the second day Mr. Creme gave a public lecture and on the third night there was a special transmission meditation with 150 people. On each of those days something dramatic happened to me and that's what turned me around I think.
...

On the third evening I had just sat down and the meditation with 150 people was about to start. I thought my experiences were sort of over after the first two evenings.

As we sat down and were about to begin meditation, I had this powerful thought form going through my head that said, "Why don't you go into the lobby of the hotel?" For whatever reason, I got up and walked right out of the room and went to the lobby. Of course it was abandoned, there was no one there. It was a Sunday evening; there weren't even any clerks behind the desk. As I was about to walk back into the ballroom thinking, "Why did I come out here in the first place?" the door opened up and a tall young man with long slightly wavy hair came in and walked right up to me.

He said "Hello" as if he knew me what I found rather strange. I thought that he might be going to the meditation but he said nothing about it. As I didn't know him, I simply walked back to the ballroom. When I closed the door I suddenly heard this voice behind me saying, "What's happen-ing here?" I turned around and there was this young man again. I do not know how he got past me into that room before I got there because I had left him.

Suddenly I began to think that Benjamin Creme had said that Maitreya had taken on the form of someone from Northern India or Pakistan sort of in the Himalayas and this person in front of me had this sort of olive skin was very tall and spoke absolutely fluent English. He asked, "What is going on here?" I answered that we were doing a transmission meditation and he asked what that was about. I said, "The people here believe that the Christ has reappeared and that he has taught Mr. Creme this new meditation which he is passing around to groups around the world."

He said "Oh, how interesting, can I join?" and I said, "Well, sure." I looked at him and thought that he looked how Maitreya after the given description should look like, but I rejected him because he was wearing a pair of bicycle shorts. I thought that the Christ would not wear bicycle shorts and come to a meditation. So I went back in the front and sat down in my empty chair, which was the only empty chair there, the only free chairs were at far back of the room.

As I turned back and looked at this man, he stood there staring at me as if I had left him out. Suddenly the man next to me jumped up and said that he wanted to sit in the back of the room. And this young man, which I discovered was Maitreya, came and sat next to me. After a few minutes he said, "Would you come out into the lobby and talk with me?"

Many people have since asked me "How do you know that is was really Maitreya?" The reason you know is what Maitreya calls giving an experience of himself. There is no real way to describe this except that he sends energy directly to you, bypasses the mind completely and goes right to your heart.

There are thousands of people in the world who have had that experience. By that they absolutely know that it is the Christ or the Madhi or however you want to describe this man in religious terms or just use the name Maitreya if you have no religion. Maitreya will give this experience of himself to every man, woman and child on this planet on what we call the Day of Declaration.

B.S.: Which is what?

W.P.: On that day Maitreya will go on international television worldwide and telepathically every human being will hear his message for his plan to transform humanity in his or her native language but it will be telepathic. Then he will give what he calls this experience of himself so there will be no doubts in anyone's heart of who he is because people recognize him instantly when he does this.

B.S.: Is Mr. Creme forming a new religion?

W.P.: Absolutely not. There is not even organization because Mr. Creme says Maitreya forbids him or anyone else who is talking about the reappearance to create an organization. There can be a loose group of volunteers but when they communicate, there can be no structure.

So that's why there is no organization worldwide, only a loose structure with a magazine called Share International. It keeps everybody informed about what Maitreya is doing and what are the major changes he is working for around in the world and how he forecasts what political events are going to happen in the next years.

B.S.: I've got so many questions to ask; I am not even sure where to start. I guess, let's just start with a question: Who and what is Maitreya?

W.P.: It is very difficult to explain this even for me and I often tell people "Wait for Maitreya to come to see him explain it himself." Most people who are religious say there are us and there is God and there is really nothing in between. Mr. Creme is saying that in between are Maitreya and his group, the Masters of Wisdom.

The Masters are not angels, but a group of spiritual beings that can take on dense physical bodies as they are doing right now. But Maitreya is not a person that was born into this world. He fabricated a body of light in 1977 and stepped out into the world as a man who is tall and handsome and looks to be 29-30 years old and he stays in that same image. In other words, when I had opportunity to touch him, he felt like any other human being I met.

At the same time we have learned from other people where he has allowed them to put their hands into his body, which is hollow. So it is sort of a shell, it is an illusional body, but yet it is still dense enough that it appears like anybody else's body. This body is different though because with it he can appear and disappear at will as he often does at religious meetings. To humanity Maitreya appears to be a God-like person because basically he can do anything most religious people think God can do. At the same time he says, "I am not God."

There is a higher consciousness than his so we don't want to make the mistake that we are making Maitreya out to be God himself that is not true. Benjamin Creme is also not the only one speaking about this. Medjugorie, if you are a Catholic you will know about the visionaries and their messages from the Madonna in Medjugorie. That's simply to prepare the way for the Christ to come back into the world, but they speak in a language that can be understood by Christians.

In other words: they say that there is a great event coming and all humanity should prepare for this and it's coming very very soon. That's the Reappearance of the Christ. So Maitreya is preparing people in different religions and non-religious groups in different ways. Benjamin Creme prepares people in the most scientific way about this when he goes into the background and explains why this is a science because much of this is a science we don't quite understand.

But our physicists are beginning to understand that, I mean the Unified-Field-Theory and such. It is all part of our understanding in the change of consciousness that is about to sweep over us when we understand that there are guides to this planet existing and that there is a plan.

This plan is carried out by the Masters, which Maitreya is the head of. He's got quite a number of these Masters who work for him. They are called Masters of Wisdom because they have mastered everything there is to know about the science of this planet and how it is run.

B.S.: Before we talk about how it might be different: You say that you know that there are leaders of other countries and our country as well, people in positions of power and business and industry, etc. who are aware of all of this. Who was chosen and why and what are they supposed to do with the information if you are the only one, right now at least, who is talking about it.

W.P.: I can publicly talk about it for a very good reason and that reason is, nobody knows who I am, really. My name is not a household word. But most of the people that Maitreya is working with are people whose name would be recognized by millions of people, if not internationally, at least in their own country. I will tell one little story.

I was invited one day not too many years ago, when a friend of mine got together 16 people more or less in a private residence in Washington. The reason for this was that a delegation from Europe had arrived. All I can say about this delegation is that among it was a man who is a very close friend of the Pope. And you can put two and two together if you like.

The White House was represented at this little dinner and there were people who were very influential in the political plane of things in Washington as well as some lawyers and a few other people. It was my role to talk about the Reappearance of the Christ. This is pretty tough, when you've got one of the men who have the ear of the pope sitting across the table from you and you don't know if he is going to get up and try and ring your neck or not.

It was an attempt to see how much these people knew. Only afterwards did we know that they knew very well about this. I talked on and on and on and not a word was said by anyone. Finally I stopped and said to the host and hostess "I think I have said enough. Doesn't anyone have anything to say?"

They finally prodded this European visitor who knows the pope very well and he said, "I cannot speak about this. It is up for the Holy Father to speak about this. I can only say: we know all about this, this is not new to us."

The party broke up after that and I was the last person leaving. When I was walking across the yard of this huge area that was build for foreign ambassadors, the bushes were moving and someone jumped out of the dark out of these bushes. It was one of the dinner guests who said, "I wanted to talk to you, but I didn't want the other people see me talk to you."

That's how secretive they are. They wouldn't even open up at the dinner party. He said, "I have met this man you are talking about, I see him several times a week." This man who jumped out of the bushes is a man who is a close friend of President Clinton. He is in the White House and dealing with senators on a daily basis. He said that we should meet and talk together and then said to me "You don't understand how big this story is!"

I answered that I believed that I understood this quite well but wasn't able to express everything on that evening. I said that I had also read Benjamin Creme's books and knew that there would be great changes. But he said, "No, you don't understand, it's much bigger than you think!" And I said, "No, I really think I understand how big the Reappearance of the Christ is" and he said, "No, no, it is much bigger"

B.S.: Bigger than that. Did you meet him then?

W.P.: I did in fact meet with him and he spent five hours telling me about all the contacts he has had with Maitreya.
...

B.S.: Wow. You say and write that in fact journalists are being prepared, too. How is that being accomplished?

W.P.: There have been, from what I have been told at least, some meetings. If people know this story you can sort of read between the lines of a number of journalists who have written articles about the changing of consciousness and the changes we can expect.

Even in Time magazine back in 1993, there is a little code here and it goes like this, it says "The past few years have been an Age of Miracles, unimaginable events, constellations devoutly wished for, but never really expected have succeeded one another as if the Creator has whistled up a new world: the Berlin Wall tumbled, the Soviet Empire melts away, Nelson Mandela, free at last, begins to bring democracy to black South Africans and now comes what must be considered one of the greatest miracles of all, the first acknowledgment by Israelis and Palestinians that they can share the land both call home."

There you can see that people know something more than what they are just saying up front here. They are waiting for Maitreya to go on TV. When he does that which is going to be in this country first, Mr. Creme tells us, then every journalist will come out in a more flamboyant fashion. But until that happens - and this is the same reason that many people in powerful positions are not speaking up - they are often asked not speak out about this because Maitreya tells them "Your name is too well known, do not speak publicly."

Because, for example, if the Queen of England went on Radio and TV and said "I know that this man named Maitreya who lives in London is the Christ reappeared", half the British Empire would believe it was true, just because the Queen said it. Maitreya says, "I don't want this, that's the old way of doing things. I want each man and woman to experience me in their hearts and know this is true, not because they heard it from someone who is influential".

I [Wayne Peterson] can talk about this because I am not influential in the world. Many of the people I met have told me that Maitreya has told them not to talk publicly. There are some who could speak publicly but they are so fearful of their important positions within Governments that they feel that they would be laughed at and they probably would be. There are a few who are willing to speak out and unfortunately one of them was the late King Hussein of Jordan.

But as also Benjamin Creme is saying: Gorbatchev, Mikhail Gorbatchev is one who doesn't mind speaking about this topic and certainly Nelson Mandela. If journalists really went to these people and interviewed them on this, they would tell you quite a bit. Gorbatchev would have a lot to say about why the Soviet Union ended up extinct. He had a big role to play in that.

Nelson Mandela already has said in public speeches that it was the Christ who came to him and helped him out of prison and to become the new leader of South Africa.

B.S.: Give me in just a couple of sentences, how the world will be different, when all this comes to pass.

W.P.: It's very simple in one way. We already have the ideal of what humanity thinks we should have and that is: the brotherhood of man, sharing, justice and world peace. That's what we're going to have but in order to make it happen, we have to change all of our institutions, our political system.

The government we have today will not survive 15 even 10 years after Maitreya's TV address. As much as we may worship our current system and all the other institutions we have build for 2.000 years in the western world under Christianity which then spread to rest of the world: these are not going to exist any longer.

Just as in the old Roman Empire when the new Christian consciousness came in and swept over it. They build new institutions from the ground up because there was nothing the Christian consciousness could use from the old Roman system. But of course, they had several hundreds of years to deal with it, we don't. Our change is going to be more dramatic; we just have a couple of decades at most, to make the transformation.

B.S.: It's that close?

W.P.: It's that close. It could happen any day. As you might know, Benjamin Creme who is in constant telepathic contact with one of the Masters has said and Maitreya has also said this a number of times that you can be sure, he will appear as soon as you see the American stock market crash. Almost immediately after that he will go on TV and calm the fears and say, "This is a necessary step towards the new world we're moving into."

Please see the Important Note at the bottom

The 20th century has seen the decline of traditional Christian beliefs and the rise of the seemingly all-inclusive, multi-dimensional belief system known loosely as "New Age" spirituality. Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey were two of the most well known organizers of this movement in the early part of this century (and they will be referred to throughout this article). Blavatsky founded the Theosophical Society and Bailey, later a president of the TS, founded the organization known as the Lucis Trust, which has counted as members men of great influence such as David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Paul Volker and George Schultz (1).

Blavatsky and Bailey were avid trance-channelers who claimed to receive messages from spirit entities (2) and both recorded many predictions that were made to them regarding the inevitable appearance of "The Lord Maitreya" or "The Christ" on the earth immediately prior to earth's initiation into the utopian "New Age."(3) Because these women engaged in the biblically-forbidden practice of spiritism and because the messages they received were deeply anti-Christian, mocking and ridiculing traditional Christianity, bible-believing Christians have understood that the appearance of the man whom Bailey and Blavatsky predicted was not a reference to the second coming of Jesus Christ, but was in fact a prediction of the future Antichrist.

A man by the name of Benjamin Creme, a self-described disciple of both Blavatsky and Bailey, appears to have taken over where they left off. Through his early studies of their works he became convinced in the reality of the "Ascended Masters," (the supposed inter-dimensional beings who direct humanity's evolution), and claims that in 1959 he was first contacted by them. According to Creme's biography...

"He was told, among other things, that Maitreya, the World Teacher -- the Master of all the Masters -- would return in about 20 years and that he (Creme) would have a role to play in the event if he chose to accept it."

Creme claims that he has been in constant telepathic contact with "Maitreya the Christ" since the early '70s and that Maitreya finally entered civilized society privately in 1977 when he materialized in human form and took up residence in a suburb of London.(4) Since then Creme has traveled the world, giving lectures and appearing on talk shows, to prepare the world for the public emergence of Maitreya.(5) He also claims that a major American television network has agreed to interview Maitreya at a time of Maitreya's choosing.(6)

One major aspect of Creme's mission was the formation of Share International Foundation (SI) and the publication of it's monthly self-titled magazine. Each issue contains a brief synopsis of the emergence of Maitreya on the first two pages and then a brief message that has been trance-channeled through Benjamin Creme from an Ascended Master known simply as "The Master" on page three. The spiritual thrust of SI is clearly obvious in each issue that is published. Despite this fact, or perhaps because of it, SI has a long list of prominent, well respected international diplomats, religious leaders and political figures who have had articles published in this magazine.

They include articles written by former UN leader Boutros Boutros-Ghali; present leader Kofi Annan; former President of Ireland Mary Robinson; Gro Harlem Brundtland who is director-general of the World Health Organization and former Prime Minister of Norway; the Dalai Lama; and recently even Britain's Crown Prince Charles.(7) Even though the average man on the street would most likely dissolve into hysterical laughter upon being presented with the beliefs of Creme and Share International, it is easily shown that this magazine is well-respected and taken seriously by many influential members of the Global Elite. In fact, Share International Foundation is accredited as an official non-governmental organization (NGO) by the United Nations,(8) and the magazine, as stated on the inside cover of each issue, is published by SI "...in association with the Department of Public Information at the United Nations."

Creme and Share International are both intimately connected with a number of New Age groups including the Freemasons (Creme often lectures in Masonic halls), the Tara Canter of Hollywood, CA, the Theosophical Society, the Lucis Trust (which maintains the official UN "meditation room"), and World Goodwill, an organization created by the Lucis Trust and also recognized by the UN as an official NGO. World Goodwill also actively promotes the appearance of "Maitreya the World Teacher" in their literature and on their website. (9)

Maitreya claims to be "The Christ" returned, yet there are many aspects of his character and many of his predictions (as given by Creme) which fall in line with the bible's predictions of the coming Antichrist and the events that will surround the end of the age. For instance, Maitreya predicts many natural disasters and a period of violence and destruction prior to earth's entry into the New Age (10); he warns that the worldwide capitalist financial system will be overturned (11); he predicts that a new world religion will be established under his guidance and that he will be aided by a future leader of the Roman Catholic Church (12). Regarding the current problems between Israel and the Palestinians Creme has stated that when Maitreya appears he will solve them, saying,

"I believe Maitreya alone has the spiritual authority to point to the solution and achieve its implementation."

Most Christians understand that the final seven year period of earth's rebellious history begins with a covenant that will involve the Antichrist and the nation of Israel. (13) In addition to these facts Creme says that Maitreya may be rejected by intolerant "fundamentalists" (Christians and Jews), and "The Master," an unnamed being who also speaks through Creme, warns of people who will reject Maitreya based on "scriptural warnings which they all too readily misinterpret." (14) (This researcher is doing his best to interpret them correctly.)

Verification

1. Gary H. Kah, The New World Religion, p.30

2. This is an established fact and can be verified through the works of Blavatsky and Bailey themselves or through the many biographies of their lives, including Charles J. Ryan's H.P.Blavatsky and the Theosophical Movement, and Bailey's own Unfinished Autobiography. Two of Blavatsky's guiding spirits referred to themselves as Koot Hoomi and Morya, while Bailey's chief spirit referred to himself as Djwhal Khul, otherwise known as The Tibetan. Also see the following article on The Ageless Wisdom Teachings from the Share International website- http://www.shareintl.org/background/awteachings/AWT_main.htm

3. Blavatsky referred to this New Age leader as the Lord Maitreya (see http://www.shareintl.org/archives/Krishnam...essjourney.htm), while Bailey confirmed that this Maitreya was in fact "The Christ," the messianic figure expected by all religions. See especially her work The Reappearance of the Christ (http://www.lucistrust.org/lucispub/24books/appear.shtml).

These are only a few of the many prominent politicians, diplomats, activists and theologians who have been published in SI.

Every issue of SI contains this disclaimer on the inside front cover,

"Contributors to this publication and those who have been interviewed or quoted do not necessarily endorse Benjamin Creme's statements about the presence of Maitreya the World Teacher, or the associated esoteric ideas."

Hopefully the above members of the global elite do not believe Creme's message, but this would be unlikely given that the spiritual aspect of SI is so prominent in each issue. By allowing their articles to be published they must realize that they are endorsing the "esoteric ideas" involved, even though their articles focus on social issues. Robinson is one of the more prolific authors to be published in SI and she also happens to be the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights since 9/12/97.

Maitreya's predictions

10. A period of violence and destruction for the earth.

"This 'end of an age' inevitably produces a certain number of natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, and we are seeing a dramatic climax in the number of disasters taking place around the world... Maitreya says: 'The last time I came, as Jesus, it was written in the Bible that when I appeared again the very elements of nature would be disturbed.' " "...After the disasters have peaked there will come a period of calm -the violence and destruction will come to an end. As people gain awareness, their guilt will recede..."

Maitreya's Mission, Volume Two, Benjamin Creme, Share International Foundation, 1993, pp186-187

The bible predicts many catastrophes in the book of Revelation, beginning with the polar shift of the sixth seal (http://www.redmoonrising.comst.htm, Section II), and including a meteor impact into the ocean (8:8), major famines and plagues (6:8), intense heat from the sun (16:8), and many others.

11.Maitreya (through Creme) predicts the collapse of the current financial system.

"When the US's "oasis of prosperity" begins to dry up, as it must in the current global financial crisis, stock markets in the West will plunge. This collapse will provide an opportunity for governments to re-evaluate their economic priorities, says futurist Benjamin Creme. The nations of the world will meet together to discuss how to cope with the future in an orderly fashion."

The bible is clear that the final capitalist financial system is led by end-times Babylon which is a nation whose identity is evaluated here- http://www.redmoonrising.com/MysteryBabylon.htm It will be replaced by a socialist world government that will includes a single religion and one mandatory financial system to be led by the Antichrist and supported by the False Prophet (Rev. 13).

13. Maitreya will be instrumental in solving the problems within Israel

"...politically, the next problem [for Maitreya] is to solve the situation in the Middle East, solve the Arab-Israeli problem." from The Reappearance of the Christ..., p 187
"There can't be true peace in the world until 'the Middle East' question is settled. . . . So deep are the feelings aroused in both sides, so entrenched are the positions which each adopt, that I believe Maitreya alone has the spiritual authority to point to the solution and achieve its implementation."
Maitreya's Mission, Volume 1, page 128
"I believe the Israelis will procrastinate endlessly and that it may well take the emergence of Maitreya to bring about reconciliation."
Maitreya's Mission, Volume 2, page 100

Daniel's prophecy of the Seventy Weeks includes the prediction of a final seven year period. Please read and understand this all-important prophecy here- http://www.redmoonrising.com/daniel.htm It is this researcher's belief that the Antichrist will indeed influence the establishment of the final seven year period but that it will be his lackey, the False Prophet, who actually fulfills Daniel 9:27 and begins the final seven year period as explained here- http://www.redmoonrising.com/biblicalFP.htm

14. Bible-believers will reject Maitreya.

"There are many fundamentalists - Christian and others - who see my information as a travesty of the truth, and who will reject Maitreya in the first place, but not for ever. It may be that Christians will accept the Master Jesus before they accept Maitreya, but it could well be that they will not even accept the Master Jesus. The name is right, but He does not have holes in His hands and feet any more."

"For a time, it may well be that very orthodox Christians - in particular Fundamentalists - will reject both Maitreya and the Master Jesus, now in Rome. He has not come 'on a cloud at the end of the world' as they expect, nor does He have holes in His hands and feet. But gradually, many Christians will find it easier to accept the Master Jesus as the returned Christ (at least the name is the same) rather than Maitreya, and the Master Jesus is in charge of the Christian Church worldwide. Eventually, however, I believe that most people, Christian and otherwise, will accept that Maitreya is indeed the Christ, Messiah, Krishna - World Teacher for all."
Above quotes from http://www.shareintl.org/archives/M's_...s-emergence.htm

"A great polarisation will take place in humanity, between those who are ready to go forward with the Christ, into the future, on the only rational basis of sharing and co-operation for the good of all, creating right relationships; and those who are holding on to the old separatist ways, who are ready (though they wouldn’t see it in these terms, it would be the inevitable result) to plunge the world into chaos, and war..."
From http://www.shareintl.org/archives/AgelessW...rad-ageless.htm

The warning from "The Master" (please read the full text at http://www.shareintl.org/archives/M's_...-reception.htm)

"Maitreya knows that when He steps forward into the world arena a mixed reception will be forthcoming from humanity. There are many who look forward to that moment with joyful expectation, who will see it as the beginning of the New Time which awaits the sons of men. There are others, however, understanding little of the meaning and process of His advent, who will look askance and doubt His credentials, fearfully aware of scriptural warnings which they all too readily misinterpret.

Others, too, will simply watch from the sidelines, awaiting a lead from those they hold in some esteem. Thus will humanity range themselves on one side or the other: those who welcome the Teacher with open arms, eager to follow His precepts and advice; and those who see Him as the embodiment of evil and all that they distrust.

Thus will the Sword of Cleavage do its work, revealing those who stand for freedom and justice, for practical goodwill and love; revealing also those whose suspicion and fear, prejudice and hate prevent their recognition of the truth of Maitreya’s message of compassion and love. Thus will it be, and thus will men be tested as guardians of their future." (Don't worry, the Master says that the "Sword of Cleavage" is actually Love. Maitreya would never order people's heads cut off for not submitting to him as predicted in Rev. 20:4.)

Important Note

It must be understood that it is very unlikely that the world will ever see the appearance of a figure who will be publicly known as Maitreya. Certainly this sounds strange after examining the evidence that has been set forth, but this statement is not simply this researcher's personal opinion, rather it comes from Benjamin Creme himself. Before elaborating we should first examine the historical source of the "Maitreya" tradition.

Maitreya is a name that comes from Buddhism, and it is a Buddhist prophecy that a figure by this name would appear on earth as the next Buddha. The prophecies of Maitreya first appeared in the third century AD in India and they actually predicted that he would appear as a bodhisattva in 30,000 years or so when Buddhism was in a terrible state of decline. Of course it has not been 30,000 years since the prophecies were given and Buddhism is hardly in a state of decline, yet Creme is able to dance around these problems and continues to promote Maitreya as the genuine fulfillment of the Buddhist prophecies.

For more on the traditional Maitreya please go here- http://sangha.net/messengers/maitreya.htm

This enigmatic spirit being which Benjamin Creme claims to be in constant contact with, claims to not only be the fulfillment of Buddhist prophecy, but also of Muslim, Hindu, Jewish and Christian prophecy. Because Maitreya is a uniquely Buddhist name, and in an effort to appear unbiased towards any specific religious tradition, Creme has claimed that when his mentor does appear on the public scene as the World Teacher he will be known by a totally different and unique name that is not associated with any one religion.

This important point is given at this Share International web page: http://www.shareintl.org/background/FAQ/faq_main.htm#name

So is Maitreya the Antichrist?

Before giving a yes or no answer we must realize that, from what Creme says, perhaps this is not exactly the question that we need to be asking. A more appropriate question to ask would be:

"Is Benjamin Creme and Share International, along with other New Age groups and various prominent world personalities, working to prepare the way for the real Antichrist, whatever his name will be?"

The answer to this question, as evidenced by the research of this website and from the sources given, is a resounding YES! These groups and these various influential world power-brokers are working to set the stage for the coming Antichrist. He will not appear on the scene without friends and without a supporting infrastructure. In fact Revelation 17 indicates that the Antichrist will be supported by the ten most powerful men on the planet! They are described as ten kings, ten men who "...have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast."

And what of the role played by Benjamin Creme? Why would the Antichrist need someone to set up organizations, take out newspaper adds, appear on talk shows and travel the world giving lectures on his behalf? The answer may appear when one compares the ministry of Jesus Christ with the career of the Antichrist. They are strangely similar in a number of ways:

- Both have "ministries" that last three and a half years, Jesus from age thirty to age thirty-three and a half, while the Antichrist is given power and authority over the earth for forty-two months (Rev. 13:5-8).
-Both operate within a trinity, Jesus being the Son, alongside God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, while the Antichrist operates alongside the Dragon who is Satan, and the False Prophet, a counterfeit who works to bring mankind to worship the Antichrist (Rev. 13:11-18).
-Both are killed and resurrected, with the Antichrist suffering a fatal wound and then being miraculously healed with the whole world looking on in astonishment (Rev. 13:3).
-Both are born directly of their spiritual fathers. Jesus from God himself through the virgin Mary, and the Antichrist from Satan himself.

And by examining the role of Benjamin Creme the similarities continue: Jesus was preceded by a man who was called by God to publicly and loudly prepare the way for Him. This was John the Baptist. The Tara Center has produced a documentary and promotional video called "Breaking the Biggest Story in History" that focuses on Maitreya and Benjamin Creme which opens with these words,

"For over twenty years, a man whom some call 'a modern day John the Baptist' has been travelling the globe, telling audiences that the Second Coming of Christ will not be a celestial spectacle in a distant future, but it is instead a real event, unfolding since 1977 behind the scenes of everyday life, and signifying the reappearance of a great spiritual teacher for all people..."

It is the firm belief of this Christian researcher that Benjamin Creme is indeed fulfilling the role of a counterfeit 'John the Baptist' by publicly announcing the message of the imminent appearance of the Antichrist. It would be terribly irresponsible to simply dismiss him as a quack or a loon, and everyone, Christian or not, should examine his predictions and his ideas and should pay serious attention to the many supporters who continue to flock to his side. If Creme is indeed laying the groundwork for the Antichrist that was predicted by Jesus and God's prophets, then we can expect this trend to continue and to intensify, and for more and more people to publicly support Creme and his message.

For an article that gives a very personal and credible account of Maitreya and the Ascended Masters please take the time to read this one by Creme disciple Wayne S. Peterson. Unfortunately Peterson has completely accepted the deception- http://www.shareintl.org/archives/AgelessW...xperiencing.htm

A recent interview with Peterson can be heard on the Coast-to-Coast-AM audio archives (06-24-00). The intro to the show reads,

"Wayne Peterson has come forward to speak about his extraordinary experiences with influential world figures. He asserts that many of them believe, as he does, that a group of highly evolved spiritual teachers are about to make their presence known on a worldwide scale. Mr. Peterson explains how these teachers, lead by one referred to as the World Teacher, will show us how we can solve our most difficult problems and build a new civilization."

Mr. Peterson mentions several world leaders who he claims are disciples of Maitreya.

MAITREYA RISING?
Willis W. Harman

Former President, Institute for Noetic Sciences

International Spirit at Work Award : '"A re-spiritualization of society is taking place, but one more experiential and non-institutionalized, less fundamentalist and sacerdotal, than most of the historically familiar forms of religion. Such a change in the basic picture of reality must inevitably be accompanied by a long-term shift in value emphases and priorities. As a result all institutions can be expected to go through major changes, including particularly the industrial, economic and financial ones.' - Willis Harman...

"This award was inspired by the work of Willis Harman, PhD (1919-1997) who was a visionary thinker, futurist and social scientist who continuously articulated the possibility for humankind to transcend the limits of out-moded thinking. He was the author of several books including Creative Work: The Constructive Role of Business in a Transforming Society (with John Hormann), An Incomplete Guide to the Future, and Global Mind Change. He was co-editor of The New Business of Business: Sharing Responsibility for a Positive Global Future (with Maya Porter). He was also co-founder of the World Business Academy (1988), president of Institute of Noetic Sciences from 1973 until late 1996, a social scientist and futurist with SRI International in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and a professor at Stanford University prior to these other affiliations. This award honors organizations who are living examples of Willis Harman’s vision that business will play a major role in transforming social consciousness."

Willis Harman Biography:

"...I taught engineering systems at Stanford University for a good many years and then I became a futurist at Stanford Research Institute for 16 years and then I was invited to come up to the Institute for Noetic Sciences, and I have been here since 1977....

"...I had a series of experiences that resulted in concluding that we only seem to be separate in one level but that we are all connected and all part of the whole. We can learn some things about that whole by looking outward and we learn quite a different sort of thing by looking inward.... When you look inward, it seems to me that the universal conclusion is that we are here to discover, to learn and to act in the service of that whole.

"When we die there is as great a diversity of experience as there is when we are living.... Of course where this all seems to end is that the farther you go the more you realize you are the whole."

A Changing worldview: "This emerging trans-modern worldview, involves a shift in the locus of authority from external to 'inner knowing.' It has basically turned away from the older scientific view... and trusts perceptions of the wholeness and spiritual aspect of organisms, ecosystems, Gaia and Cosmos. This implies a spiritual reality, and ultimate trust in the authority of the whole. It amounts to a reconciliation of scientific inquiry with the "perennial wisdom" at the core of the world's spiritual traditions. It continues to involve a confidence in scientific inquiry, but an inquiry whose metaphysical base has shifted... to a more holistic and transcendental metaphysical foundation....

"The core of the current challenge to the scientific worldview can be taken to be 'consciousness,' which has come to be a code word for a wide range of human experience, including conscious awareness or subjectivity, intentionality, selective attention, intuition, creativity, relationship of mind to healing, spiritual sensibility, and a range of anomalous experience and phenomena....

"...we must realize that thoughts are not merely a reflection on reality, but are also a movement of that reality itself. The mapmaker, the self, the thinking and knowing subject, is actually a product and a performance of that which it seeks to know and represent....

"The epistemology we seek will recognize the partial nature of all scientific concepts of causality.... In some ultimate sense, there really is no causality - only a Whole evolving....

"In his Introduction to Metaphysics the eminent French philosopher Henri Bergson said of the 'much-desired union of science and metaphysics' that it would 'lead the positive sciences, properly so-called, to become conscious of their true scope, often far greater than they imagine.'"

Willis Harman -- Global Mind Change: "To the empowering principle that the people can withhold legitimacy, and thus change the world, we now add another: By deliberately changing the internal image of reality, people can change the world. Perhaps the only limits to the human mind are those we believe in."

"In a Washington Post article titled "Experts Say Too Much is Read Into Illiteracy Crisis," Willis Harman and Thomas Sticht (Senior Scientist, Applied Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences, Inc., San Diego and a member of SCANS: Secretary's Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills) explain that

"Many companies have moved operations to places with cheap, relatively poorly educated labor. What may be crucial, they say, is the dependability of a labor force and how well it can be managed and trained -- not its general educational level, although a small cadre of highly educated creative people are essential to innovation and growth. Ending discrimination and changing values are probably more important than reading in moving low income families into the middle class."

Thomas Sticht and Willis Harman, "Experts Say Too Much is Read Int Illeteracy Cristis," The Washington Post, August 17, 1987.

"Global Consciousness Change: Indicators of an Emerging Paradigm" by Duane Elgin. As the world's senior scientists have warned, the industrial era paradigm is now generating far more problems than it is solving. The only way the human family can understand and solve these problems is by shifting to a larger paradigm that includes the entire Earth as a living system. Such a transformation seems to be underway. Peter Drucker, the well-known management expert, is just one observer who believes that the western world is undergoing a paradigm change:

"Every few hundred years in Western history there occurs a sharp transformation. Within a few short decades, society -- its world view, its basic values, its social and political structures, its arts, its key institutions -- rearranges itself. And the people born then cannot even imagine a world in which their grandparents lived and into which their own parents were born. We are currently living through such a transformation."

"As pervasive as the communications revolution is, it seems to be taking place within a larger and deeper revolution in consciousness and culture. We are living in a time of paradigm shift. What should we call the emerging paradigm? In this report, we are calling it the "reflective/ living-systems" paradigm or perspective. This name incorporates the two primary features of this perspective. The first is our growing capacity for self-reflection. ...A second hallmark of the new consciousness is its 'whole-systems' or 'living-systems' view.

"...in the emerging perspective, seemingly empty space is not empty, but filled with immense amounts of energy. Our cosmos is seen as a living, unified system. This new paradigm moves from a view of separation and isolation to one of profound wholeness and interconnection. At a fundamental level, people are viewed not as separate beings, but as intimately involved with one another in the deep web of life. If everything is intimately interconnected, then the quality and integrity of all kinds of relationships are of paramount concern. A natural expression of this paradigm is to bring into balance all the key relationships in our lives -- inner and outer, masculine and feminine, personal and global, intuitive and rational, and more. This perspective tends to bridge differences, connect people, celebrate diversity, harmonize efforts, and look for higher common ground. A reflectiveving-systems orientation brings a unifying approach and offers hope in a world facing deep material, social, and spiritual fragmentation."

A look at the 9/11 Truth Statement signers: "Paul H. Ray, Ph.D., sociologist, author, The Cultural Creatives. Proponent of Systems Philosophy. His book is a somewhat modernized and toned-down version of the elitist New Age 'change agent' social vanguardism found in earlier works like Marilyn Ferguson's Aquarian Conspiracy, which in turn was based on ideas like the 'Open Conspiracy' of Fabian Society globalist H.G. Wells, and more especially, the semi-secret 1974 report from Stanford Research Institute co-authored by Willis Harman, Duane Elgin (Club of Rome), Joseph Campbell, et. al., the notorious 'Changing Images of Man'. One of SRI's main funding sources is Bechtel (as in, George Shultz's Bechtel). ...

"Global Business Network (GBN) is a consulting think-tank formed by veterans of Stanford Research Institute and Royal Dutch Shell. Exemplary of the 'California Ideology', they offer corporate management consulting based on the usual cybernetics systems theory background.... [Paul] Hawken's 'Natural Capitalism' is based partially on the the work of corporate management 'transformation' guru and systems theorist Peter Drucker, who was an early leader in establishing group dynamics methodologies like Total Quality Management (derived from Tavistock 'T-groups')."

What Can Aspiring Leaders Be Taught? "The time is NOW. If family, society, K-16 and life haven't brought MBAs to a sufficient level of humanity, decency, maturity, understanding, and wisdom, then business schools need to take on this mission. Why us? Because Willis Harman and Peter Drucker tell us that this 21st century will see the global business community as the leading edge of massive change around the globe. Like it or not, products, sneakers, computers, services, advertising, and cars move around the earth with 'attachments.' These 'attachments' include values, ethics, cultural characteristics, definitions of the 'good life.' We need business leaders who understand that every decision made has the potential to engender or endanger the planet's survival/progress.

"'Every few hundred years in Western history there occurs a sharp transformation. Within a few short decades, society - its worldview, its basic values, its social and political structures, its art, its key institutions - rearranges itself. We are currently living through such a time." - Peter Drucker... “The best way to determine the future is to create it” – Peter Drucker

Transformational Leadership and General Systems Theory: "Let’s see…'vision' and 'purpose'…Where have we heard those terms before? No, well it must be a coincidence. Right? Surely conservative Evangelicals would never adopt the methodologies and terminologies of those who are adepts in the occult sciences and 'black arts.'…Or would they? ...

"Spiritual Politics, written in 1994 is endorsed inside the cover by well-known occultists David Spangler and Willis Harman with the forward written by the Dalai Lama. This book is heralded on its cover as 'cutting edge stuff that takes up where The Aquarian Conspiracy left off.” The concepts are consistently promoting 'a new paradigm,' a 'new world order,' and communitarian principles.

"Additionally, and most importantly for the purposes of this discussion, this book describes its so called 'transformational leadership' in the same terms as do Senge, Hybels, Stanley, Buford, Maxwell, and Warren! Is this more mere coincidence? With the possible coincidences previously discussed in this manuscript, how many coincidences can one tolerate before this series of events evolves into something closer to conspiracy than coincidence? When once then introduces organizations like the Lucis Trust, the Fabian Socialists, or even the United Nations into the discussion---Where will this trail of 'coincidences' lead?"

Global Mind Change--Deeper Causes: Exploring the Role of Consciousness in Terrorism (John Mack, Noetic Institute, founder of the Center for Psychology & Social Change): "Toward A Consciousness Of Interconnection. It is no longer just Buddhist monks or other holy people and religious leaders who are undertaking the practices that create a consciousness of interconnection. A great shift in consciousness is taking place, even as the threat of annihilation grows around us. In the United States and throughout the world, a vast and growing movement to return to ancient traditions is arising, creating new forms of psychospiritual practice that can bring about the extension of empathy and the possibilities of knowledge beyond ourselves, the kind of knowledge of which Thich Nhat Hanh and his students write.

"This is taking place in several ways. For instance:

* the revitalization of established religions, enabling them to be more relevant to the challenges of our time;

* the recognition that strong intuitive powers, sometimes crudely called 'psychic' abilities, are, at root, not psychopathological as they have sometimes been regarded in the mental health professions, but, if used appropriately, shortened avenues to transformation....

"Humanity seems to be at a turning point. We are experiencing a kind of race to the future between the forces of destruction and creation. The preservation of our lives and possibilities will come not from the strategies of terrorists, nor from the bombs of the self-righteous. This can happen only through a great awakening, a worldwide shift of consciousness that can transcend the habits of dualism, and enable the citizens of the Earth to become a genuine family of people and peoples, in which each of us can come to feel a responsibility for the welfare of all. As Gandhi once said, 'We must be the change.'"

The Scythe Network: "Profile of Willis Harman: The professional career of Willis Harman was nearly equally divided into three twenty-year periods. Beginning as a professor of electrical engineering and system analysis, he went on to become a senior social scientist with SRI International, a global-futurist think-tank 'helping clients in government and business do strategic planning over a very wide range of practical policy issues. My particular task was to help them think about the issues in the context of the future environment in which the consequences of their decisions would manifest.' From 1977 until his death in 1997 he worked with the Institute of Noetic Sciences whose mandate is 'expanding knowledge of the nature and potentials of the mind, and applying that knowledge to the advancement of health and well-being for humankind and the planet.'"

Gorbachev's Plan For A United World: Again and again, the Communist leader and his hand-picked 'council of the wise' or 'global brain trust' (does that sound like "democracy" or elitist tyranny?) told the assembly of more than 1000 guests and participants that a new set of inclusive universal values must replace the Judeo-Christian world view. 'The wisdom distilled by all faiths' must determine the values needed to guide the world into the 21st Century. That means that familiar terms must be redefined to fit the new global perspective -- and the old beliefs and political systems must be abandoned. Poverty and oppression must be eradicated, and a new kind of equality must be established....

As in our new schools, all earth-centered or universalist religions fit the global model -- but Biblical monotheism (belief in the biblical God) is despised! No wonder the religious leaders invited to address the Forum taught pantheism (all is god since one cosmic force connects all things), universalism (all paths lead to the same ultimate reality), and monism (all is one) as its spiritual foundation. Among them were New Age educator Willis Harman, Esalen co-founder Michael Murphy, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation Founder Sonia Gandhi, and the respective leaders of Vietnamese, Mongolian, and Cambodian Buddhism. Their input during panel discussion and roundtable sessions left no doubt that biblical Christianity was marked for decay.

The absence of Christian leaders prompted a member of the press to ask Gorbachev why Western religious leaders were not represented at the conference. Showing his ignorance of Christianity, the Communist leader answered that "Western religion is represented by many of the leaders of the Forum."

You might wonder whom he had in mind. Surely he didn't mean his co-chair Ted Turner, astronomer Carl Sagan, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, Carnegie Chairman David Hamburg, or Maurice Strong, the Canadian New Age chief of the UN's 1992 environmental conference in Rio de Janeiro?

Attempting to help answer the question, Zbigniew Brzezinski, former National Security Advisor to President Carter, CFR (Council of Foreign Relations) member and former director of the Trilateral Commission, spoke up. "I happen to know that President Gorbachev is a very good friend of the Pope -- and I am too."

Did he think this input would satisfy the need for Christian representation?

Apparently, Gorbachev and his "council of wise" world leaders just don't understand. Looking at reality through the utopian filter of the new global paradigm, they have no idea what Christians believe nor the value of the liberty we treasure -- the unique freedoms established by the God who made America great.

http://www.newswithviews.com/Cuddy/dennis15.htm: "The New Freedom Initiative primarily proposes using expensive antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs as treatment for those failing their mental health screening.... Psychotherapy will also be available as a treatment tool, and in that regard one might consider the words of Willis Harman in ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONAL FUTURES IN THE UNITED STATES AND IN EUROPE:

'It is not enough to be intellectually aware that at this point in history, nationalism is a suicidal course....Educational experiences must be contemplated which are akin to psychotherapy...that result in a felt realization of the inevitability of one inseparable world, and a felt shift in the most basic values and premises on which one builds one's life."

"Harman and other globalists like him repeatedly have criticized what they call outmoded, narrow nationalism. Harman was on the Board of Planetary Citizens (two goals of which are to redesign education for global awareness, and to give the U.N. the authority to act on behalf of the common will of humanity), was founder of Futures Research Group at Stanford (University) ...he was a consultant to the National Goals Research Staff of the White House some years ago.

"On the cover of Harman's book, GLOBAL MIND CHANGE: THE NEW AGE REVOLUTION IN THE WAY WE THINK, one finds quoted from THE SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE: "There never has been a more lucid interpretation of New Age consciousness and what it promises for the future than the works of Willis Harman."

The Higher Self Gets Down to Business: "Visualizing the future, several businesspersons at a Manhattan hotel are acting out what the ideal corporate board meeting will look like in 2012. 'May all the decisions we make today be guided by values and by love,' the board chairman says. 'Let's meditate on it. Tune in to your intuition on all levels.' ...

"It's the Spirit in Business World Conference, where more than 500 businesspeople and assorted 'change agents' have come to help unleash each other's inner powers. They will spend three days spurring each other on to positive thoughts at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, a sanctuary from the grit and litter outside. Then they will go to the ends of the earth as part of a fledgling movement to transform the world.

"Yes, they're believers—in human potential. They believe in the power of enlightened business to imbue life with meaning. Many of them, especially their leaders, believe business will help usher in a universal shift in consciousness.

"They mean many things by the term shift in consciousness, including the notion that businesspeople should rely less on rational thought and more on intuitive 'inner wisdom.'

"[This Spirit in Business conference] is one of a cluster of conference organizers unifying the disciples and doctrines of a constellation of neopagan and panreligious philosophers, metaphysical futurists, and self-proclaimed gurus who recognize the power of business in today's society....

"The preferred term within the movement, emerging mainstream, is telling. Into the mainstream, indeed, basic New Age tenets are flowing through the culvert of business....

"Peter Senge, senior lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and author of the organizational theory classic The Fifth Discipline, addressed the conference. Historically, spirituality has been inseparable from religion, he said. Standing no more than 10 feet from the multicultural altar of world religions, he went on to say that a solution awaits this 'profound problem—how we can disentangle the confines of religion from spirituality.' ...

"'What we think, what we feel, actually matters,' Senge said. The point being: The elements are alive, in line with the Gaia hypothesis of Earth as a conscious organism.... Moreover, a conscious planet is all the more fit to be worshipped (if you're a neopagan) or to be one with the Universal All (if you're a New Ager)....

"In many ways, they are inadvertent allies to building biblical values into the workplace. Some of the movement's key tenets—such as bringing the 'authentic' or 'whole' self to work... have been stated in other terms by... mainstream management icon Peter Drucker....

"....The esoteric use of ordinary words like self-actualization, intuition, and visualization in the New Business spirituality (see "Utopia or Kingdom Come?" p. 36) cannot be appreciated without considering their role in the cosmic scheme of the movement's unofficial father: metaphysical futurist Willis Harman. Harman, who died in 1997, founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences and helped start the World Business Academy. Noetic comes from the Greek word for intuitive knowing. Intuition was... for Harman... the very means of connecting to the one Universal Mind. Nor was visualization merely a means of clarifying goals, but of altering material reality. Both intuition and visualization were central in the evolution of consciousness that Harman envisioned."
