SUBWAY - EAT FRESH - (A BIG LIE)
Tsk tsk tsk...

Have you noticed that ALL SUBWAYS have the same smell? I did. But is that the smell of "freshness"?

I THINK NOT!

We've all heard over and over SUBWAY's marketing tagline "EAT FRESH", but this is a BIG LIE.

"A big lie (German: Große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously." Hitler asserted the technique was used by Jews..."

Back to Subway.

"Everyone from The First Lady Michelle Obama to the American Heart Association (AHA) to several Olympic athletes have endorsed Subway for their purportedly “fresh” and “nutritious” meals."

But yet:

1) "Cold cuts also known as lunch meats, luncheon meats, sandwich meats, etc, are the least fresh of all types of meat,

2) None of the veggies at Subway were organically grown and have been previously sprayed with pesticides and herbicides (glyphosate). Subway uses additives to preserve some of their veggies and actually add yellow food coloring to their banana peppers.

3) Subway makes bread with an ingredient called azodicarbonamide (THE SUBWAY SMELL). It can be found in almost all the breads at Subway restaurants here in North America, but not in Europe, Australia or other parts of the world. Azodicarbonamide is the same chemical used to make yoga mats, shoe soles, and other rubbery objects. It’s not supposed to be food or even eaten for that matter. And it’s definitely not “fresh”."

They stopped using azodicarbonamide.

That's pretty cool. Markets are supposed to respond to consumer pressure.

I don't eat Subway because I've come to believe modern wheat is bad. http://www.wheatbellyblog.com

I also avoid wheat. It took me a while to reeducate myself to the bread fix... And sugar too.

There's something about the sandwich handheld food-to-mouth delivery system that is very appealing.

But people have eaten wheat bread and sugar cane for centuries, they didn't have the same problems. They used to be lean and healthy.

According to Ray Peat, the problem is something else. The problem is polyunsaturated fatty acids. the bad stuff that we get when we eat vegetable oils like soy, corn, palm, sunflower and meat from animals that have been fed soy and corn oils. Vegetable oils are given to meat animals in order to stop their metabolism and make them fat the cheapest way..

Read these WD, you'll be amazed!
