My new computer monitor
I bought this fantastic computer monitor a few months ago. It has been one of the best purchases in my life. LG and Samsung make all of the monitor panels out there. There are different types of IPS displays out there. A lot of the newer panels are S-IPS. The best are AH-IPS. The monitor I bought was the Apple Thunderbolt display that retails for over $900. It has a resolution of 1444p and is 27 inches. The monitor was supposed to have 3-5 dead pixels, I haven't seen any yet. There are about 3.4 million pixels, so it would be hard to notice anyways. I did a screen test and couldn't find any. I bought the Crossover monitor for $279 with free shipping. The picture is out of this world. It's very nice for displaying picture and having the screen space is now a must for me. It took me about month to get use to the size. Now I wouldn't go back. I actually bought another monitor at the time because I couldn't get use to the size. The size is great for stuff like viewing files because you can sort the video files/music files by picture. This screen is large enough to see what the picture is.

Then I proceeded to spend $100 dollars on BBC Earth, Blue Planet, and something else. Only to realize my monitor can't play BLUE RAY!!!!!
I was too lazy to return the movies. Now the new Crossover monitors all have HD, so you can play Blue Ray. If I only waited a few weeks...Sigh. This is the only screen I have for HD Video. I bought the monitor for video editing. I really wish I was able to watch BBC Earth. I have been waiting 8 years to watch it. The only solution would be buying a blue ray player drive and converting the file. It would take a long time and eat up a ton of space. I saw a download for BBC Earth at 50GBS!!! I only have 80Gbs free.

Once again, I highly recommend this monitor

Why ?

THIS
is the drive I have which plays just fine on to an old HP2710m monitor or my Emachines 17 inch monitor just fine. I did have to aquire bluray player software to play bluray discs but other than that there is no need for converting files.

I bought a Blue Ray player for the computer. Then download PowerDVD trail. It plays blue ray!!! Looks like I can finally watch BBC The Blue Plannet and Planet Earth.
