Places to see all over the world
I'm planning on starting a world trip as soon as I can and naturally every country has their main sites and attractions but I wanna know of any small time stuff.

So it would be awesome if anyone knows of a particular town or city to visit in any country, or something in those towns and cities to see.

Mainly just straying away from obvious attractions (Eiffel Tower and the like) and listing more local experienced attractions. Thanks all!

RE: Places to see all over the world
You are welcome.

The following image does not do this place justice because the scale is simply unbelievable... Put it this way, this cave is so large it has it's very own weather system.
That is a forest, not moss.

In one spot the roof has fallen in and 2 guys decide to rappel down the hole. One guy dislodges a rock and it takes 8 1/2 seconds for that rock to hit bottom. The Eiffel tower would fit in this hole, and that is setting it on top of the rock pile at the bottom which is 150 meters tall.

This is precisely the kind of stuff I'm looking for. Thank you so much.

Cool. You are welcome.

If you are into torrents, the national geographic did a 46 minute long documentary on this called "Earth's Giant Hole". We are not allowed to post stuff like that here, but you can search it out elsewhere. Wink

Edit to add - If you are into searching out torrents, you may also want to do a search for "giant crystal caves" also by national geographic. These are in Mexico, the environment is deadly ( extreme heat and 100% humidity ), and the scene is reminiscent of the old Superman comics of his home base in the arctic.

Why not? That would be a fascinating watch. There's plenty of National Geographic uploads here that fall under the same category. It's neither fictional nor software, so I should think TPTB would allow it.
Truth appears in many forms. Find those that resonate with you.

- "Humans are not a rational animal, but a rationalizing one." - Leon Festinger

If it is a documentary, it's good to go here.

OK. Rather than "re-invent the wheel"....

National.Geographic.Mystery.Caves.Of.Guangxi

National.Geographic.Into.the.Lost.Crystal.Caves

There is a second part to Crystal Caves, but the original ripper had buffering problems which makes it nearly unwatchable.
