The "Paradise Lost" Conspiracy.

The "Paradise Lost" Conspiracy.
I'll start off by first saying, i've not read Milton's poem....Hell (pun intended), i'm not sure i'd 'get' it, without a walkthrough, if i tried! haha. But I am reading Anna Beer's Milton biography atm (almost finished), and while privy of the story of this epic tale, this reading has garnered me a better understanding of what Milton was trying to achieve when he wrote 'his masterpiece'...he wrote this shit BLIND, which alone, is fucking mindblowing.

Anyways, i digress. On with the conspiracy...

I'd like to argue that it was NOT Satan in Serpent form, nor Eve, that was responsible for the 'Fall of Man', rather ALL God's doing. In fact, it was God within Adam, not Satan within Eve (via dreams) that was responsible for Adam's fall. And thus, argue that Abrahamic misogyny (of which Milton was certainly guilty of, himself) is unfounded. Furthermore, I argue it was NOT actually 'the forbidden apple', in that it would lead to the 'knowledge of good and evil' and, in turn, death, responsible for Adam's fall ...

(despite the edict from God). I argue that it was, in fact, Adam's knowledge of LOVE (no fruit required)that was inherently responsible for his fall.

Eve, like in the Ovid tale, fell narcissistically in love with herself, rejecting Adam upon first sight, prior to being 'seized' by him, for he sought an outlet for his LOVE, which plagued him even in the so-called state of perfection.

We are told Adam's Fall is derived from him tasting the forbidden fruit, but is this truly the case? Adam eats the Apple not out of ignorance (he KNOWS it's forbidden) nor in spite of God's edict, but rather his overwhelming LOVE for eve, whom he FEARS (prior to knowledge of good and evil) will be lost forever, rendering him alone again.

Thus, has God not 'set them up' for failure (seeing as he is both Omnipotent and Omiscient)? Free Will or not, God would- theoretically- known how things were to pan out. HE created Eve, seemingly less 'perfect' (whatever that means)...and HE put the prohibition on something he

...knew would destroy them. Not to mention, he instilled Adam WITH a sense and knowledge of LOVE...which directly led to his Fall from Eden. On top of this, he had ZERO conception of what is good/evil right/wrong, so how could he possibly known whether it was good or bad to heed God's edict? or whether he was being told by God or Satan? Put simply, he was set up for failure by God!

Your thoughts on this would be appreciated! Sorry for the 3 posts, but i have a character limit on this browser (PS3).

RE: The "Paradise Lost" Conspiracy.
God seems to be SUBJECTING them to rule through FEAR, whereas the Snake seems to be EMPOWERING them with leading them to choose love over fear. so I ask, which is the 'good' and which is the 'evil'?

Interesting story.

The omnipotent/omniscient being may not have been God in the parable, then again I feel it is incorrect to objectify the Creative Spirit as that acts as a mind block to our connectivity.

How does the story that Eve was create from Adam's rib play into this theory? I had thought that symbolized that Eve was derived somehow from Adam, perhaps via asexual reproduction - perhaps a cloning of sorts.

Also figured the biblical snake/serpent could be a metaphor for parasites which are the embodiment of what was considered a demon since they may just assert more influence on the human will than most would suspect.

More on that point here:

I have not read the 12 books of Milton either.. and he wrote more than just the first set; so for those that want to take a crack at it or do a fancy (re)search on a copy here it is at a click.

BeLIEving Jew Bible stories means you are willingly participating in accomplishing their mindset and perverted destiny. No matter how you twist or interpret these stories, it only proves you've been sucked in and simply manifesting a brainwash mental program.

Quote:Adam's name is evident in the early Akkadian root 'adamatu' (dark red earth), consistent in the Sumerian with 'dumu' (son) and 'dam' (a spouse or wife). 'Dam' is tranferred into modern Hebrew as the noun (blood), constant philiologically in the European languages as 'dame' and 'damnation'.

In ancient Aramaic, the words for 'blood' are (adamu and dam), designations of the 'earth' (adama). Analogies of 'red clay' (originally 'Adamatu') recall the creation of man conceived from a clot of blood and is elaborated further in the Babylonian wordplays.

In the Sumerian vocabularly, the name of 'Adam' appears as a Semitic loan word, where it stands for the generic term (people or humanity). It is adopted as the epithet for the great Canaanite God El, known as 'Ab-Adam' (father of man). His nakesake is read as the homonym (Father of Blood), interchangeable with (stony ground), parabolic of the Underworld. Ab-Adam's worship conjures the mountain or pyramid, figurative of the altar and death. Veneration of Ab-Adam shows an early connection between the Canaanites (Lot) and human sacrifice, related to the development of Judaic Theology and language.

RE: The "Paradise Lost" Conspiracy.
interesting philology. thanks. have you ever read John Allegro's philological work "The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross", Frank? trippy read! lol not sure how this applies to the 'fall of man' as Milton wrote it (Milton claimed to be 'inspired' during sleep/dreaming where he 'received' (mythologizing his imagination, imo) the tale), other than evidence of Milton's Joseph Campbell-like knowledge of mythology...which is a fair point on its own i suppose.

@Fast, in PL, God creates eve basically upon request from Adam, so that he wont be so lonely, if i'm not mistaken.

Another interesting note is that after having consumed the apple, learning their fate...Adam rejects and blames eve (flip from original state) acceting no fault of his own, whereas eve does not pass the buck on responsibility for her actions and harbours no ill will towards adam, god or the snake.Yet, God STILL punishes Eve with 'submission to adam (man) and the pains of childbirth'.

is this not an ass backwards tale whose main purpose is to

fraudulently prop up patriarchy?

@watchdog, in your opinion, is there ANY mythology worth reflecting on? lol
