RE: Epinnoia's latest emails
Diplomacy is sometimes hard to do but when dealing with the public but it's an necessity. I read the threads and a simple, "I'll keep your suggestion in mind" would've sufficed when Epinnoia offered his suggestions even though they weren't appreciated. Diplomacy would've prevented all this confusion. I hate to say this but the persons who should be rectifying this confusion are the persons involved. Unfortunately it seems neither are willing to do so which is sad for Concen.

You mean like in my very first reply to his suggestion? Could you please explain how this reply does not satisfy you? What would you have said? While you're at it, please show me where in that reply that I didn't appreciate his suggestion.

Please explain how you would be diplomatic with someone who is repeatedly using lies to accuse you of being stupid, incompetent, a liar, and a thief. Then explain how one should be diplomatic with someone who is on a long term campaign to destroy the work of thousands using the power of the people who most oppress their freedom. This guy shut down PayPal, lied to copyright holders (a couple of which I had to set straight), tried to persuade the colo company to pull the plug on the site, and reported the site to the FBI! He did all this to a site which he himself used for years (over 1500 torrents, 500+GB). He admitted that the reason he has done all this is because he was banned.

Please explain to the other members of this community why you think that's acceptable behavior.

RE: Epinnoia's latest emails
I don't think it's a matter of choosing your words carefully. We are all aware of the differing dispositions of certain Admins. Some you could get away with saying anything, and others moderate with a more strict guideline. Epinnoia KNEW what he was doing when he was 'poking the bear'. He KNEW how Yeti would respond. And to be completely honest here, Yeti let him speak WAY longer than I would have.
I see nothing wrong with the approach to ConCen that I have taken:
I check in daily. If I see a file I would like for my collection, I download it, then I seed liberally. What's the point of commenting on it? I see we have a "Thanks" system in place. Why not just use that as an indication that the downloader appreciates the uploader's efforts? I've been here for a long time and have had to endure "Zionist/Jew" battleground arguments that neither added to the torrent, or accomplished anything. In this day and age of "Keyboard Warriors", you are going to get the idiots that think that words don't do damage. You are going to get the fools who think that their opinion is the ONLY opinion. And you are going to get fudruckers like Epinnoia who have this insatiable desire to give their opinion and when it's not heeded, they take action that can only described as an infant temper tantrum.
Did Yeti handle this situation in the right way? That seems to be up to the person who feels slighted by his comments/actions.
I tend to think that allowing commenting on the site AT ALL is conducive to what we are trying to accomplish. It's the sharing of needed information for enlightenment and survival in these tough times. So share the files to those who download it, then shut up and view the information given. We don't really need to hear opinions on the file. There are always going to be opposing viewpoints. We aren't Siskel and Ebert. Nobody cares what our opinion is. The file we are downloading is opinion enough.
I'll probably get heat for this, but it's my opinion on this topic that has become a once fixable situation, and has now turned in to a 'chest-thumping' victory for a Sociopath. I'm having a really hard time accepting the possibility that my favorite place to get "Alternative Media" files may be taken down because a Man-child didn't get his way.

RE: Epinnoia's latest emails
The radio dj was Hal Turner iirc and he worked for the FBI, which 4chan outed, so he didn't lose his job or his pension. All you might be able to get 4chan to do is to DDOS his ISP or IP and maybe get some personal info on him.

I think this is a fine piece of internet drama, and we should call his bluff. Let him try his best. Most of the stuff on concen is by people who want their information shared. Clif High came around to releasing all his old webbot reports here, as I understood it. If we get cease and desist letters from Ancient Aliens and National Geographic, so what, that's the crappiest stuff being shared here anyway, imho.

It's understandable to get angry when lies are told about you. I won't rehash this matter from beginning to end. However, I'll say when I read, feel or see a big or immature ego coming my way I know one of three things can be done. Blow them off in a non-confrontational manner, ignore them, or wrestle with them.

I'm not justifying his behavior I'm merely saying he could've been ignored or blew off with "I'll keep your suggestion under advisement" leaving him little to get in a uproar over. Why didn't you pursue legal matters with this person when he started slandering and harassing you?

  1. He lives in another country
  2. I don't have the money
  3. Banning is easier

yeti: I want to remind you to look into Epinnoia's past upload and download history here, to show that he was more than involved with the sharing of potentially copyrighted material himself. If he gets law enforcement involved, like the FBI, let him know that you have all of those details logged.

Yes I've got his profile, but I'm not sure how credible such evidence is...

Apparently the creep called the FBI months ago. I'm not expecting a call from them, as he does, but if I do, they'll be made aware of his hypocrisy for sure.

IMPORTANT --- Battle-hardening CONCEN with ENCRYPTED CLOUD HOSTING --- IMPORTANT

Hey FastTadpole & Yeti,

This might be of interest to you. Just replace the name "The Pirate Bay" by "concen" and it becomes magick!

I think this is the solution to all of our problems. Read this VERY carefully.

The bad guys have been taking down many bit-torrent servers over the past few months and this has to be stopped.

Bit-torrent servers provide us with a crucial information infrastructure that is independent of illuminati-controlled corporations such as youtube and therefore much more protected against censorship.

One masonic-luciferian court-order may shut down all alternative video-channels on youtube whereas you'd have to shut down the entire net to get rid of all alternative forms of communication.

Of course the internet as a whole is illuminati-controlled also. Bear this in mind.

TEXT START

Pirate Bay Moves to The Cloud, Becomes Raid-Proof

The Pirate Bay has made an important change to its infrastructure. The world’s most famous BitTorrent site has switched its entire operation to the cloud. From now on The Pirate Bay will serve its users from several cloud hosting providers scattered around the world. The move will cut costs, ensure better uptime, and make the site virtually invulnerable to police raids — all while keeping user data secure.

The Pirate Bay is loved by millions of file-sharers but is also a thorn in the side of the entertainment industries.

The latter group continues to push authorities to take action against the site. The Pirate Bay was raided back in 2006 and there are rumors that the police might try again in the near future.

The Pirate Bay is not oblivious to this looming threat.

They have backups in place and are shielding the true location of their servers. Nevertheless, should the site lose all its servers it might take a while to get back online.

This is one of the reasons why The Pirate Bay decided to move the site into the cloud yesterday. The switch resulted in five minutes downtime and was hardly noticed by the public, but it’s a big change for the infamous BitTorrent site.

Hosting in the cloud also makes the site easier to scale, it reduces downtime, and is also cheaper.

“Moving to the cloud lets TPB move from country to country, crossing borders seamlessly without downtime. All the servers don’t even have to be hosted with the same provider, or even on the same continent,” The Pirate Bay told TorrentFreak.

The Pirate Bay is currently hosted at cloud hosting companies in two countries where they run several Virtual Machine (VM) instances.

“Running on VMs cuts down operation costs and complexity. For example, we never need anyone to do hands-on work like earlier this month when we were down for two days because someone had to fix a broken power distribution unit,” The Pirate Bay says.

The setup also makes it possible for the BitTorrent site to take their business elsewhere without too much hassle.

“If one cloud-provider cuts us off, goes offline or goes bankrupt, we can just buy new virtual servers from the next provider. Then we only have to upload the VM-images and reconfigure the load-balancer to get the site up and running again.”

While most of Pirate Bay’s former servers are now obsolete, not everything was moved to the cloud.

The load balancer and transit-routers are still owned and operated by The Pirate Bay, which allows the site to hide the location of the cloud provider. It also helps to secure the privacy of the site’s users.

The hosting providers have no idea that they’re hosting The Pirate Bay, and even in the event they found out it would be impossible for them to gather data on the users.

“All communication with users goes through TPB’s load balancer, which is a disk-less server with all the configuration in RAM. The load balancer is not in the same country as the transit-router or the cloud servers,” The Pirate Bay told us.

“The communication between the load balancer and the virtual servers is encrypted. So even if a cloud provider found out they’re running TPB, they can’t look at the content of user traffic or user’s IP-addresses.”

In addition The Pirate Bay now believes it’s more raid proof.

The worst case scenario is that The Pirate Bay loses both its transit router and its load balancer. All the important data is backed up externally on VMs that can be re-installed at cloud hosting providers anywhere in the world.

“If the police decide to raid us again there are no servers to take, just a transit router. If they follow the trail to the next country and find the load balancer, there is just a disk- less server there. In case they find out where the cloud provider is, all they can get are encrypted disk-images,” The Pirate Bay says.

“They have to be quick about it too, if the servers have been out of communication with the load balancer for 8 hours they automatically shut down. When the servers are booted up, access is only granted to those who have the encryption password,” they add.

For Pirate Bay users the move to the cloud doesn’t change much though. If anything, they will notice significantly less downtime.

Pirate Bay are genius's at what they do - but they were earning $$shitloads from ads so they have the ability and support to do such a move as described in Torrent Freak.
