I told you I wanted to fight on the side of the Aliens. Gladly.

=============

EDIT : I think that video is not about the chinese people. It is about the sad state of the human race as a whole.

Apathy, Indifference, Hypocrisy, Obedience and Conformity seem to be the sacred motto of almost everybody these days.

At the top of the pyramid of power, somebody must have said after watching this video :: "ha ha our zombification program is working as expected. Give them more porn, more ball games, more taxation, more stress, more anxiety...etc; gee I can't stand them."

My g/f told me about this, and has given me an update too. Such a nasty situation when this sort of thing happens. Are those people even human? If so, how cold must their hearts have become? I suppose the Chinese "system" has done what it says on the tin, created a nation of worker drones who fear the one child policy so much that this sort of thing occurs.

I recall hearing about a similar situation after a woman was stabbed or something outside a drug-store in the U.S. (Pharmacy for us UK peeps), and people just idly walked past her for 10 minutes. So I'd say you are spot on in your conclusion rockingtheboat.

Shite!!! folks round these parts stop for chipmunks... wonder if the indifferance would be the same if it had been a boy as discarded female children are not unheard of there.

Also curious if the mother will receive any punishment, maybe not be allowed to have another as she was clearly not with in eye sight let alone grabbing range as a father of 3 soon 4 I know when out and about always keep the children in the cart, or by the hand. Sure they have strollers over there... isn't that where there all made.

Tragic none the less and the child will never be 100%, almost more humane to let it pass over and focus on punishing those responsible. Would have been better with subtitles.

Yeah, that's horrible but what, if any, is actually the point in clicking the button to play that video?

In many parts of China, especially poorer areas, baby girls are dumped in the street due to the one child policy and hence desire to have a son to pass on the family name.
Sad but true. One day I'm sure that policy will be extended to the rest of the world if we give the elite scum half a chance.

What a bummer of a human (dis)interest piece.

The Chinese one child policy does have some loopholes. Many families do not register their children and get around it and the

Also any prominent businessmen and legislative officials have blatantly ignored the policy with no legal blowback, although that practice does not sit well with the general populace and I've heard rumblings that there is serious consideration to slacken the one child rules.

Economically speaking America is in a predicament where they cannot afford to have more than one child a point which is emphasized by this article.

China’s One Child Policy comes to America
http://newsvandal.com/2011/01/china%E2%80%99s-one-child-policy-comes-to-america/

To which I commented back in January ..

Brilliant: “The High Prophets of Free Trade loyalty is to the bottom line. That makes them bottom feeders. China’s economy is global capital’s favored child.” ~FTA

China as the global template model for the social engineering towards corporate model nationhood. It has been mentioned before.

“Whatever the price of the Chinese Revolution, it has obviously succeeded not only in producing more efficient and dedicated administration, but also in fostering high morale and community of purpose…. The social experiment in China under the Chairman Mao’s leadership is one of the most important and successful in human history.”
~ David Rockefeller, 1973

See also: fascism, corporatism, plutocracy, oligarchy, serf class.

The reasons these models exist is because we feed them.

Wal-Mart exists because people shop there, work there and support it. Tax breaks, Wal-Mart credit, favourable municipal zoning, subsidy financing, legal exceptions, outsourced jobs and infrastructure grants are costs transferred to the consumer and the community. So ask yourself “what is the real cost of low prices”?

You get what you pay for and payment exists in many forms, often invisible and not monetary. It is the duty of the informed consumer, advertiser, supplier, worker, loan officer, government official and manufacturer to consider them all.

I don't know, I didn't click it, and still haven't watched it, and have no reason to.

ditto - encouraging to hear that, haven't seen a Gaddafi video yet either nor have I watched Avatar... Rambo or JAWS although I more than made up for all that with 5+ Seasons of Dexter and the first half of Machete.

Suppose we're desensitized enough without watching Snuff like this real or choreographically produced. We're being shown images for a reason, likely to condition us, to control our reaction to stuff like this. Eventually there will be an increased appetite for destruction and death as there has been for porn or desire for monetary wealth or an adrenaline charged experience. Sci-Fi predictive programming like The Running Man, Death Race and televised executions don't seem too far fetched now.

"By the time the average U.S. child starts elementary school he or she will have seen 8,000 murders and 100,000 acts of violence on TV."
~New Scientist, 2007

With the commercialization of experience and the growth of demand for REAL in reality TV, real (organic) food, augmented reality, "Truth", "Natural", 3D - there is a connection there and it directly relates to controlled gateways to the product/service/experience/lifestyle. Checkpoints (hubs, travel, banks, roads, borders..), delivery systems (cell phones, computers, wireless knick knacks galore..), feedback systems (sensors, cameras..), AI. All about centralized, managed, monitored, socially engineered and forced control systems.

Bringing it back on topic a step. One of the most popular, and the most talked TV shows, in my boys' schools, for children aged 10-16 today is 1000 Ways to Die (Spike TV just did a special episode entitled The Goriest, Sexiest, And Most Delightfully Horrible Deaths Ever)followed by WWE Wrestling, consistently the top watched show in the US week after week.

To control your reaction, you need to control your previous experience, or your conditioning input program if you prefer. A filter, no matter how well honed, only does so much. I initially reacted to 9/11 much like everyone else - like it was a movie or a video of a controlled demolition implosion that I had seen 100s of times before.

Didn't click on this too. Irresposible parents only add to the problem. Last year a 5 year old kid in my son's class was talking about Freddy Kruger and even the film's ending whilst I was waiting to pick my son up. I complained to the school and it was good to hear that one other parent complained and that child's parents were spoken to by the headmaster.

But even movies aimed at kids can be very violent. Look at Home Alone or Cars 2. Yes I believe it is by design, desensitizing us and our children to accept the violent world the elite have in store for us. Also by increasing violence in people they can put up more CCTV etc.

Yeah what if the tables were turned on Home Alone? Would the insidious deathtraps be rated PG. Here's a glimpse of what it may have been like courtesy of Robot Chicken.
