The couple were due to attend the Royal Variety Performance, which was taking place close to the epicentre of a day of violent protest in Parliament Square.

Clarence House said that the couple were unharmed, even though they were inside the car when the mob struck in the Regent Street attack.

White paint exploded across the rear of the passenger side of the car and a window was broken.

Onlookers said Camilla looked extremely shaken after the incident.

I concur. The only thing is, with this specific situation, imo the protesters who did this were well out of order. That's not to say anything about views on Royals, their money, etc etc. Simply put, they attacked uninvolved parties, highly protected parties, which wasn't only wrong, but now gives pictures for the whole world to see, and for the MSM to support action taken by police.

We have to take the higher ground in this, wherever possible. Sure, defend another protester from brutality, I would, even to the death if need be. Bit attack someone else? No thanks, that's the job of the police. Retaliate, don't instigate.

I am still proud of our young men and women though! My best mates brother and his g/f were in one of the "occupations", she is at the beginning of this clip:

It's just a pity in essence, it took these reasons to get such a protest started, not kids still dying in Iraq for example. But maybe this is the start of greater things! I think some may have got a taste for fighting for freedom.

I think in that context he meant mainstream media.

What I meant though, was in this case, what have the royal family got to do (directly) with tuition fees? That's my point. Like I said...

Dunamis Wrote:That's not to say anything about views on Royals, their money, etc etc.

Because I obviously know of the hypocrisy of the Royal family at large, but that's going into other areas, rather than the Tuition Fee protests.

Dunamis Wrote:Simply put, they attacked uninvolved parties, highly protected parties, which wasn't only wrong, but now gives pictures for the whole world to see, and for the MSM to support action taken by police.
Uninvolved meant with Tuition Fees, not corruption, greed, etc. If someone can let me know of an actually good thing that will come of these specific incident, then obviously, I'd have to weigh in such things, but I cannot think of one.

Again, I support the protests.

Also, don't forget, Charles is a HUGE supporter of Organic farming, a publicly outspoken advocate of Gerson Therapy, and of being against GM food. I am not saying this equates to him being perfect...but a lot of politicians keep trying to get him to shut up. Out of all the big Royals, though I used to avidly detest the man (yea, I used to be a "hater", lol), I have had to re-asses such views multiple times since those days, if only for the evidence that he's not a 100% moronic German Royal.

[Note, yes, MSM=Main Stream Media, sorry].

I'm not sure. Look, this is what you get for having your education organized by the government. I'm not saying it's good or bad, I'm just saying: if that's what you want - here are the consequences.

Maybe if there was a free market for education, nobody would protest on the streets - they would simply switch education providers. Just like mobile phones.

British people didn't have a problem with socialized education, they just want more money for it. Just like in a socialized society every and anyone wants more money for what concerns him.
