Bangledesh Avian Flu (H5N1) in the Future? U.S. Agency is There to "Help"
Quote:Watch for Sickness in Bangledesh in the Future - Now that a U.S. govt. Agency is There to "Help"
Wednesday, July 7, 2010

When ever the U.S. Govt gets involved with another country to "help" out for any medical reason, is the time to watch the area for sudden "sickness" or pandemic.

Disinfection programme launched to prevent avian influenza

BSS, Dhaka:

The STOP AI (Stamping Out Pandemic and Avian Influenza) project, funded by the United States Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), launched a Cleaning and Disinfection (C&D) programme here on Tuesday.

The programme is aimed at improving the security of the live bird market at Sreepur Paurosabha in Sreepur Upazila of Gazipur District, read a US Embassy release.

The USAID, through the STOP AI initiative, collaborated with the Sreepur Municipality and the market committee of Gazipur to develop a market improvement plan to prevent the spread of highly pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI).

Renovation of the water supply, addition of a bio-gas facility for proper waste disposal and a slaughter house are among the activities of the project.

The live bird markets can be a major source of the avian influenza and can contribute to its spread in Bangladesh and whereas the STOP AI project will help people access to safe food products and minimize the risks of avian influenza from becoming a public health epidemic.

USAID initially piloted Cleaning and Disinfection programs in two major live bird markets at Mohammadpur and Kaptan Bazar in the city.

Learn from the past. Credit to hilly7 (HBD) for pointing these out:

Prototype for all mandatory mass vaccination schemes

All the things discussed in the video were laid down during the pharmaceutical industry-friendly Bush administration.

They're all still in place and Obama has shown no signs of dismantling or looking at the legal structures that make is possible for the US to:

1. Declare a pandemic
2. Use this declaration as grounds for arrest and imprisonment without charge, without representation and for an undetermined amount of time
3. Compel vaccination
4. Remove any liability from the drug companies involved if their products kill and maim

Study the timeline and see how an administration that could not get anything of value accomplished was a model of efficiency and speed in creating the infrastructures to make this happen.

Note that in a previous video, local law enforcement are already being commanded by FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security to submit plans and run practice drills for vaccinating the entire US population in 48 hours or less.

Fortunately, this is a logistic impossibility if people are informed and don't cooperate.

Unfortunately, few are informed and a combination of draconian laws, garbage science, and a corrupt/incompetent media are working together to make "voluntary" acceptance a real possibility.
There are no others, there is only us.

Published on: 2011-12-21

Hong Kong (HKSAR) - The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) has enhanced its surveillance on human influenza A (H5N1) infection after the Government raised the response level for avian influenza from "Alert" to "Serious" as a chicken carcass sample taken from the Cheung Sha Wan Temporary Wholesale Poultry Market tested positive for the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza virus.

A telephone hotline, 2125 1111, has been set up to answer public enquiries today (December 21) from 9am to 6pm.

The CHP is carrying out medical surveillance of poultry wholesalers and workers at the Wholesale Poultry Market as well as local chicken farmers to follow up on their health.

At the moment, there is no human case of avian influenza infection in Hong Kong.

The DH and the Hospital Authority (HA) have enhanced work on testing for human infection of avian influenza. Particular attention will be paid to those who visited or worked at the Wholesale Poultry Market.

A spokesman for the CHP has called on members of the public to seek medical treatment immediately if they develop symptoms of high fever or influenza-like illness.

Public and private hospitals as well as clinics should make a report to the CHP immediately when there is any suspected case of avian influenza.

The CHP has written to all medical practitioners alerting them to the latest development and has liaised closely with the HA to step up surveillance. The department has also sent letters to institutions, elderly homes and schools to remind them to be vigilant against avian influenza.

The spokesman reminded the public to remain vigilant against avian influenza infection and to observe the following measures:

* Avoid direct contact with poultry and birds or their droppings; if contact is made, wash hands thoroughly with soap and water;
* Cook poultry and eggs thoroughly before eating;
* Wash hands frequently;
* Cover the nose and mouth while sneezing or coughing, and hold the spit with tissue and put it into a covered dustbin;
* Avoid crowded places and contact with sick people with fever;
* Wear a mask when you have respiratory symptoms or need to take care of patients with fever; and
* When you have fever and influenza-like illness during a trip or when coming back to Hong Kong, consult doctors promptly and reveal your travel history.
