Ipod Radiation?
I want to know peoples thoughts on this. Anyone heard of radiation been given off by ipods? I'm a van driver & listen to all my files on it at work. I figure it should be ok considering the headphones are just mini speakers & not a type of microwave emitter but not 100%.

Cheers.
&There will be in the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude and producing dictatorships without tears, so to speak. Producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies so that people will infact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods; and this seems to be the final revolution.& - (Aldus Huxley, The Final Revolution speech at the University of California 1959)

What kind of radiation could a hard drive with speakers give off? I don't know where you heard this, but it's probably bull. the reason cell phones give off radiation is because of the radio frequency they give off. I'm pretty sure most of them are in the 1.7 GHz range. Ipod's don't have anything like that.
The belief in 'coincidence' is the prevalent superstition of the Age of Science.

&I don't understand why you're taking such a belligerant tone when you're obviously the ignorant one here. &

That depends on how technical you want to get. All radios are shut off in airplane mode (is is possible to turn WiFi on while in airplane mode, thou[/size]gh), so the radiation one normally associates with cell phones stops being emanated. The ipod is still an electronic device and will continue to emanate some RF as well as visible light (when the display is on), which are both technically "radiation".

The ipod produces radiation by using the internet & bluetooth, any form of wireless devices in your ipod give of radiation.

RE: Ipod Radiation?
First, define radiation.
Technically the buildup and collapse of the electrical energy within your headphone or earbud coils produces radiation.
