Inheritor, We've had a pretty mild summer. Other than a short stretch, plenty of water this year. At times too much. The temps and been mostly in the 80s with a few 90s, but the humidity is bad sometimes.

My wife finished what I had picked tonight, ended up with 28 more qts of green beans, that makes 84 qts so far and a lot more picking to do. We done Rattlesnake, Peanut, Greasy Back, & 1/2 White Runners beans. Think there are some Turkey Crawl, but just a few. Think she'll make me sleep out there if I pick them again through the week.

Silva, when SHTF, we're always here and you all at CT are always welcome, even if it doesn’t hit the fan. We should have plenty to share.

Psilocybin, my cousin’s garden is probably like yours. He has some of those tomato plants that just never get a ripe tomato.. But he keeps trying. :D

Gonna try it. We had a large head given to us, but was ripe. I'm going to try my own, about 6.

Thanks but I do the easy part of planting and tending and picking. Denise does the hard part, she canns them. We picked and got broke about 4 bushel today. Megan took the peanut beans and I took the rattlesnake beans. Denise is now in the 128 plus range not counting today's haul. We still got 3 rows left to do and it looks like all but the peanut beans are going again. We will be these go to seeds for next year along with some we've already laid to the side. Plus I bought Turkey Crawl and another variety that deep red/purpule color, suppose to be better than 1/2 white runners.

Rattlesnake Pole Beans

We grew them like this this year. Easy to pick on hot days by just entering the tunnel. I'm gonna use this method next year on Rattlesnakes, Greasybacks, Turkey Crawls, and whatever the other pole bean is called (suppose to taste better than a 1/2 white runner) They are purple.
