I dont like that concept of Peerguardian, I mean if the RIAA or any of the other fuckers wanted to get you, are they going to be stupid enough to use IP's that everybody knows is theirs?? Sounds like a dumb fucking idea to block IP's that you think are going get you.
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

As a reputed atheist, the reverential nature of his film was surprising, but Pasolini himself said &If you know that I am an unbeliever, then you know me better than I do myself. I may be an unbeliever, but I am an unbeliever who has a nostalgia for a belief.&

If you know that corporation x is contracted by Agency y to gather data on p2p users then why would you not block corporation x?

Some corporations will attempt to exploit your network to gather data on you if they find your IP on a particular torrent that they believe they hold copyrights to.

The US Patent office does it's normal work right through uspto.gov so if you are smart then you block these kinds of IPs for p2p apps.

Then maybe you'd care to explain the oodles of hits PG stops on ConCen's server? There's lots of ap2p, PSI most noteably, but there's also many .gov and .mil type hits..... DoD and DoJ being the main two culprits.

No they won't use their own IP's, they will probably try to use one of the 729365918 that I have blocked right now. If you haven't noticed there are guys that literally sit on their computers and hunt/locate/block suspicious IPs for hours and hours. Thats why you use it, because there are people looking out for us with their own free time.

I constantly have been getting this one : elitetorrents.org-FBI/DOJ among the other very strange ones like
Research Group for Informatics (and derivatives of that)... so is this DOJ thing :content::eyebrow::confused:a US fed site tracking our movements or what?

I often find false positives in the bluetack IP blocklists. You should look at the IP that flags the warning. do a whois on it (like at http://www.whois.sc) and see what it comes back to. elitetorrents was seized by DHS so I'm guessing the IP is in the subnet that elitetorrents was on. If you post the IP range we could get a better idea as to wheter it is too broad and this generating a false alarm.

If you use Edonkey peerguardian is a must. I only use it though for hard to find material. There are loads of hits from China and Russia (H4k0r heaven) which are not really my favorite peers to be connecting to when it comes to p2p.

elitetorrents.org came up as the first block today.

I must have only checked out a torrent site cause I had no activity on torrents.

Perhaps they check keepvid downloads from youtube.

Also the file share locations Adrive and 4share must be bait locations but are not p2p.

There is no reason to expect only torrents on p2p are monitored by elitetorrents.org
