Viewing New Posts From 2 Different Comps- How?
I usually read concen's topics from different computers at different times. When I enter the site I click on the "View New Posts" link. Now whenever I enter the site from one computer to the next; the next computer always asks me to login again (even though I always click remember me) and after clicking "View New Posts" it includes the posts that I have already read from when I logged in from the original computer.
Is there a way to prevent this and have only the new posts show up after clicking "View New Posts" when using different computers?

when you are clicking "remember me" what do you think one machine remembers about another machine?

Are you still logged in from the first computer when you come on from the second one? I think you stay logged in for a couple of hours if idle. That's the only thing I can think of... I've never seen the same msgs displayed under view new.

I've had the opposite problem...I kept seeing older msgs and was puzzled as to how I hadn't seen them before, finally I figured out it was because for a while I was not logging OUT and when I came back on and hit view new, it would not show me any of the messages posted while I was idleing out. (also the ones posted while you are reading will not be new unless you check them after you catch up). I finally figured it's better to actually log out and log in instead of just leaving an open window or navigating away from the page.

You could try using the 'mark all as read', but it's only available in the individual forums as far as I can tell.

I would not use the 'remember me' thing, since that only works for that particular computer, and instead use your browser (firefox right?) to remember it for you and sync browsers over the different computers. I just type mine in. I prefer the security of my head over cookies or password managers.:)
