Human Grade Pet Food
The byproducts which are not allowed in cow feed, are allowed in food for cats. This is very sad because cats are a species which contract Feline Spongiform Encephalopathy (Mad Cat Disease) Animal Prion Diseases.

It is important, therefore, to feed your pets Human Grade Pet Food. As animal byproducts in cat food, would not be allowed to be fed to cattle.

Plus if you read about the process of rendering byproducts, it is down right disgusting. Literally, road kill and animals that have been euthanized are all part of rendering process in commercial grade pet food.

There are many brands now that awareness is increasing of the hazards of feeding felines the animal byproducts that are not allowed in cow feed. Best place to find these brands are in pet stores and health food stores, but I even saw one label on a product in WalMart that would meet the criteria of having no animal byproducts/fats whatsoever.

The best, and also the most expensive, literally has human grade food, rice and oats, chicken livers, blueberry, cranberry, garlic, apples, zucchini and sweet potatoes, Canola oil. Almost sounds like a good recipe for dinner.
