Why Isn't Thermite Used In The Demo Industry?
Or is it?

Most of the demo industry seems about big bangs.

I am starting to think much more about thermite being used at the WTC.

Now does anyone have any idea why it isn't used in the demo industry - I can think of 2 possible reasons off the top of my head but am no expert.

1 - Cause demo industry generally demolishes old buildings. Old buildings tend to have concrete structures, thermite = useless on concrete.

2 - A thermite job is simply more expensive than a explosives job - but for the WTC job cost wasn't a consideration.

I am guessing here, would be nice if someone with some knowledge could confirm/deny my assumptions.

Well, it looks like it wasn't thermite, but thermate, which I understand is a similar compound and is used by demolition companies. 911 Mysteries shows some experts showing exactly how these sorts of compounds are used.

What I meant is why isn't thermite/thermate used almost exclusively for a demo. When you watch a demo there's a lot more explosions than what I've seen of WTC1/2 demo. Also with a regular demo they bring a building down from the bottom as in WTC7 which looks more like your classic demo.

Now 9/11 was a demo job (I just cannot accept how WTC1/2 fell) , but clearly it was an unconventional demo job. So whilst thermite/thermate might be used in some quantities for normal demo jobs, why is it not almost exclusively used in normal demos as appears on WTC1&2?

Fire.

PBX operates differently than thermite/thermate. The heat generated by a PBX blast generally isn't of a high enough temperature to cause fires (it could be under certain circumstances), but thermite/thermate would generate enough heat to potentially cause fires.

Fire or the potential for fire, would significantly increase the cost of the demolition, particularly where insurance costs are concerned.

PBX is also cheaper, and often for older buildings, simple dynamite is all that is needed, and that's even cheaper.

Thank you, makes sense. Also I imagine with demo-job they want to get it cleaned up as quick as possible (not only for cost purposes, but imagine working for Controlled Demolition - cleanup must be a real crappy part of the job!). If there's molten steel burning at the bottom of all the rubble it'll be a long clear-up, just like The WTC;)

Thermite/thermate is used to cut steel. These are used in "U" shaped charges to cut steel while creating very little outward explosive force. It is used for support removal and to get the building "walking" to start the demo process. You can see this in the diagonal cuts of many of the supports at the WTC sites.

RDX and dynamite are used to help break up concrete and cement. They are used to supplement the breakup from the fall started by thermit/thermate charges. These charges are also used to help the building start it's collapse as well. Generally RDX and similar are used sparingly. The demo teams mainly rely on gravity and the mass of the structure to break the concrete.

In the WTC 1 & 2, we see a heavy use of RDX like explosives. The give aways are steel support beams being thrown 300 feet into other buildings and the banana cloud of the towers "peeling" down towards the ground. Telltale evidence is the lack of any sizable pieces of concrete, or any other items for that matter, being found in the rubble.

Take a look, molten metal pours down one close up.

Unless this is bashed as a cgi job, like putting in the squibs being pulled on the
way down, it looks like a demo job to me.

All the civilian industry needs is shaped charges.

The Thermite, Fe2O3 + 2Al , with 4000F to metl 2000F steel
or Thermate, Fe2O3 + 2Al + Sulfur to turn steel into powder
are probably closely guarded military ordnance, because we would
not want it to land in terrorist hands.

We make them mix up explosives, when the Illuminati do a job they
do it right.

Is this refinance the Illuminati way.

So who set off the charges, I see a lot of statements that think
it looked like a demolition.
