yes, triple, from my understanding, you are wrong. there is more money to be made in a depression or 'market crash' than even during great bull markets, or, at least as much. if you sell and price goes down, you make just as much as if you buy and price goes up.

pot-grower: i'm not sure if i understand you, but nobody makes debt when you make money in the stock market. wealth doesn get created (i.e. there is no contribution to inflation) in the stock market, wealth simply changes hands. it's what's called a zero-sum game.

you're right, if you make money in the stock market it's because somebody else is losing money. but there is nothing cruel about that because everybody gives and takes in the financial markets, you win some, you lose some, you just have to make sure you win a bit more than you lose, and you're in the black. and just because you take some money from somebody in one trade, it doesn't mean you're preventing them from being overall profitable in the long run.

i was hoping by opening this thread i would find some one, or more than one, who is making some nice profits in the financial markets and is willing to, er, share their information.

What about starting an independent money system based on our own kind of usury free cash? The Dollar and every other currency was created to enslave us and keep us in that state of bondage. If we want to defeat the current money system which clearly is based on greed and domination we must come up with a practical alternative.

To that end our new money system must have a money-hoarding prevention mechanism built in. Much the same as that experiment held in Austria (?) which was all about using an independent currency to facilitate civilian goods and services exchange. It worked to such an extent that currency circulation rates were much higher than that of the traditional currency, people didn't hoard money, the community thrived and productivity flourished. The experiment continued until the smelly Big Bank Boys got a hold of the lovely odor it emanated and of course were all too eager to terminate the experiment. And so they did for as Rockefeller himself said "competition is a sin". To them nothing but a monopoly is acceptable.

But... we have to try anyway. Break the chains and beat the bloody system!

Too bad though ConCen forms a electronic community which makes practicing a new money system kind of difficult. Unless the money system becomes global. Maybe start our own usury free payment/credit card? Either way, we must boycott and overrule the traditional money system.

BTW Aren't there quite a lot of alternative currency systems being used in US already?

I invested in the 90s
And then someone offered to sell me a business and I sold all my stocks and funds and about 2 months later the Nasdaq dropped from 5100 down to 2000 fairly quickly and wipe out the small players, I was lucky but wouldn't bite the NWO game anymore, it's too tipped in their favour, A Mugs Game?

I wasn't talking about the stock market. I was talking about money in general. Money is debt. For money to be created there needs to be somebody willing to go in debt to the bank by taking out a loan. Then they use fractional reserve banking to create more money to loan out and use. It's all based on debt.

So, however you make money be it at a job or in the stock market, all your wealth is equal to others debt. In a 9:1 ratio.

Stock market is making money off others work IMO, but that is debatable. I suppose it's making money off your own work if you have stock in the company you work for. Still it's mostly investors making money just from having money. And that money comes from the workers ability to generate positive cash flow through their company or corporation. That is what continually pushes the stock market higher. The investors will all generally make money if they stay long enough, unless they are stupid and invest all their money in a crap company that goes belly up.

I'm leaving out the whole commodities market, but that is a very long discussion. After all it could be argued that the U.S. dollar is based on oil.

Most of what I'm saying could be wrong. I'm no expert. This is just the understandings that I've come to.
The belief in 'coincidence' is the prevalent superstition of the Age of Science.

ringo: I agree the game is highly tipped in the power elite's favor. i believe pretty much all financial 'instruments' are controlled by the same banks that created our debt-money system. Having said that, there are many people who make a living in the markets. I just came across this site that was highly recommended to me by someone I trust. It claims an 8% return on your money per month, compounded monthly.

This is in the foreign exchange market. me likey. i don't know if i would actually bite on such an offer, but it's interesting nonetheless.

I think market crashes like you stated with the Nasdaq are created in part to scare people away from the markets, as they seem to have done to you. Perhaps it's important to get over that fear and tame the wild beast of the stock market.

right now i'm with a trading system called freedomrocks ... i've made about 60% return on my money since beginning of march of this year, that's about 6000 USD I've made in the past three months. It's an automated system, and some people have got burned on it, but that's because it's the forex market, which is a wild and crazy market, where risk is unavoidable. i came across freedomrocks from a guy called david macgregor who runs a site called it's worth checking out, in my humble opinion. the investment world is full of people who want to take your money, with courses, and trading systems and what have you ...

Well obviously somebody makes money from a market crash, the money doesn't just disappear in a puff of smoke, I'm just saying it's most likely not going to be you unless your last name is Rockefeller.

I'm just not convinced the markets today have any real value anymore. At this point people take "real" money into banks and exchange that money for a number printed out on a receipt.

If you want to make money investing then invest in NWO companies that never lose money! Buy a few of those $90 Boeing stocks or invest in defense contractors. That way you can make money on global suffering!

The stock market isn't rocket science; its just another form of gambling. You are assuming the company you invest in is going to earn money and on a broader picture the industry you invested in is going to grow. Investing in small firms increases the likelihood of making big money because a $1 stock turning into a $3 stock nets you a 300% return. For bit players who buy a hundred blocks of Boeing for $9000 we don't make much money when that stock becomes $91 and we earn a hundred bucks. But for millionaires the need for risk is less necessary. Earning $100,000 on a $9m investment is pretty satisfying.

My best advice is to invest in a company you are familiar with that is inside your industry. A buddy of mine, a videogame geek, put $8000 of his money into stocks in the accessory manufacturer MadCatz while the stock was valued at about $.40 a share last year. Needless to say he did pretty well when he cashed out a couple months ago when it was valued at $.80. Not too many people would look at a $.40 stock and risk eight grand investing. He was familiar with the industry and the product and considered it to be a good buy. He doubled up. It goes without saying that he was risking a shitload of money on it but it paid off.

Personally, I feel the only way you can guarantee yourself a return is investing what you can in a monopolized company with corporate and government connections, but then you're just feeding the machine.

If you're anticipating a crash, what markets won't crash and what is a crash to begin with? Personally I wouldn't invest much in the US stock market because the US is so highly leveraged right now that foreign investors have to be wondering if they'll ever see a return on their investment when the government continually comes up short by $400b every year. I'm not expecting aspects of the market to crash, I'm expecting the US to default in general. The whole thing is going to crumble.

According to America: What Went Wrong which was written in 1991 (so you can just imagine how much worse it has become), Joe Shmoe, earning $30,000 a year has 100% of his taxes collected from Jan. 1 to Apr. 19 spent entirely on interest on the national debt at a time when national debt payments were around $186b. In 2003 interest paid amounted $318b.

But wait, you say, Japan has an $8 trillion national debt too. Aren't they going to collapse as well then? The difference is Japan owes the money largely to itself. There was a time when the US was like that as well. But now 44% of that debt is owed to foreign investors in the US. That means that its not like the good old days when people were borrowing money from US banks and driving up consumer debt. Now the nation is in the hole with other nations. Which is bad.

It means that foreign investors will soon think America isn't good for the money, and the money will dry up. Meanwhile consumers and corporations will owe ever larger debt loads to its own banks and as the interest piles up the payments will be fewer and smaller until the whole thing collapses on itself.

In that situation, I can hardly see how any investments will prove to be valuable.

well, options, futures, and forex markets are highly leveraged markets. with only movement of about 2 tenths of a cent in the forex market, you can make about 800 USD (off of a traditional lot size that is traded) because you can buy up to 400 times more money in the foreign exchange market than you actually have. You can even collect interest off of money that you buy. I have about 900 bucks currently in the forex market, and I bought about 1 million dollars with that small amount of money. I'm making 300 bucks a month just in interest off of that money. Financial markets aren't just about buying and holding a stock of a company just because you think it's a good industry or solid company. there are lots of investment vehicles out there, and they're not all tied to 'companies'.

I watched a video on google about the market, something I believed called fiat money. No way would I do the market. I have made good money but at a high cost, you get used and tossed. Now I sell real estate and your right on the banks having an advantage. They stretch people out or overburden them on loan amounts. Try and talk to someone that was just told they could spend all that and be safe, they can't and they don't believe you. Advertising says we deserve, want it all, want it now and many believe it, just do it. Many agents are more than happy to not question the higher amount, it pays them more as well as the banks.

The barter system worked well. Also we buy only what we need and then from small owners, not the Walmarts, Food Cities and fast food places. Thereis a reason they call them chain stores. Pay with cash.
We had a bit of a time learning to do that but it works. Buy a smaller house that can be paid off quickly and early. Go to swap meets. Drive a cheaper car until it falls apart. If we quit buying from big business, stupid shit we don't need and with cash it will rock their world.

I have traded forex and other markets. I have heard of freedomrocks, not so sure about them, but if you are making profits from their hedging styles than good for you. As you know trading is a risky game and forex, with it's crazy leverages to the retail markets are extremely risky. As you may or may not know the stats are that 90%+ of new traders in the forex market lose all of their money within their first 3 months.
The big banks love the amateurs by washing and rinsing out their stop losses, the money that exchanges hands is very one-sided. I am glad to hear about your financial experiments, please keep us updated as time goes on. Because if you find something that can stand the test of time then I would be very interested.

What is a Freegan?

Freegans are people who employ alternative strategies for living based on limited participation in the conventional economy and minimal consumption of resources. Freegans embrace community, generosity, social concern, freedom, cooperation, and sharing in opposition to a society based on materialism, moral apathy, competition, conformity, and greed.

Next LeveL,

No offence but have you been dippin' in the sauce? Money makes the world go round...Its the root of all..ahh never mind. I like your thoughts on money is a tool..That is precisely what it is, a tool. Ergo, a practically indispensable asset. We all need some form of trade or barter to fulfill the requirements of our individual socio-economic positions; needs. On the right hand, good will and altruism just won't get us where we need to go in the current world climate. Money, on the left hand, is creating a stable and politically, socially adjustable world environment. When I say adjustable it allows us to be controlled discreetly with directly observable results. "..Shock it, it shakes, shake it, it shocks."

The aforementioned, in itself, should be enough to make the average person say, "Huh." But in this day an age, where extravagance and excessive materialism is synonymous with power, control and prestige how can the average person be expected to let go and change? I say if ya can't bet 'em join 'em. Fuck it. Now where's my Black Mercedes

Money could be useful but its not, it destroys peopes souls, like money is the only thing that matters. Look at the Rothschilds, they have more money than anyone else (by a LONG way) and are they happy? No! They STILL fund all sides on all major wars and revolutions and are still wanting to control people MORE. Its not even about money on that level, its about controlling people with money as the tool.

I could maybe have some faith in money were it not for the fact that every time I spend it or make it, the Government gets a fucking cut, fuck that. :angry:Oh but LeveL... how can the country run itself without the Government taking the people's money, well how about the WORK every poor bastard is doing, what about the fact that the Government fucking owns everything because they sneakily invest in everything and DON'T ever give their people the spoils?
