Just watched it again on monday night there, absolutely indispensable!

I particularly like how the communist chick with the afro becomes as bad as the Faye Dunaway character...
everything is true. nothing is permissible.

I must confess, I haven't seen it.

Maybe I will dust off the DVD player, rent it and plug it in.

Who kept all the paper and TV ads going.. cars which need oil so they don't need a Texaco
show for a Milton Berle any more, cosmetics, drugs, fashion, foot wear, sports....
they pay the bills and the media licks their boots.

But is the UK with government programming any better..we get UK Intel's version of
history.

American public TV (PBS) will not go out of line from the big buck contributers....Author Vining Davis
Foundation from the Texas oil millionaire will not support the Helium engine CT propaganda.
Because its real, and they know it.

ED: sorry if any oily fell ill with that one

I don't think the little box of parts is a problem. It's obviously the networking control struggle. If Tv managed to just play one show (That was the favorite! show), would you still watch it? you would if you had an addiction to a program on Tv, programs are habitual and can be very destructive and mind numbing drugs.

How do you detatch yourself from it?....especially when those football teams and soap stars are a part of your self created identity. If you stop watching, then you would also have to stop saying "My Chicago Bears are playin tonight".... then it soons become clear that if you don't watch, what was yours hences to be anymore. Then you feel like you've lost something.

So, television programming IS a problem because it creates addictive identity mutations in people. It would be more destructive if it had less diversity (which is happening), it could also be informative, if diversity was condoned. In any case, it's a human challenge to know themselves as distinct individuals, and to not buy in to the "part of a team" or "pop star" image, and hopefully one day realize that if they watch an oppressive network, they are allowing that program to actually program them. I haven't seen the movie... Is that what it talks about? The difference between Tv and Programming? Or just how programming is controlled?

It's been years since I saw that movie, when it first came out. Like hammer said, I saw it but didn't quite get it then.

We watch the news and think it's all the facts and if we can't comprehend that's ok too, they will be glad to tell us what to think about what we just saw.

I think it's a combination of subliminal programming and addictive because of that and the fact it appeals to the reptilian mind. You can spend hours if not says in front. Just watch someone watch TV, it's like their entranced.

I love the "we did it" thing in sports, usually I say if I'd known you were playing I'd have watched it. Or the people that watch some kind of show called flip this house or something like that. Instantly it makes them pros ... not.
