Google Trends Graph

Depicted above is a Google Trends graph showing indexed news items and actual hits. Ron Paul is the least covered politician shown on the bottom graph below McCain, Clinton and Obama. Some of the widely released stories on Ron Paul are hit pieces. Despite that his popularity was on par or better than Obama until he was beaten by McCain on the primaries, Ron Paul's enormous popularity continued even a bit afterward. Obama's internet media push was huge a total of $427.6 Million was spent on media advertising alone. If you check out his internet bills for hosting and domain registration provided on a link off of the page below you'll find he had 1000s of entries on the expense sheet.

It begs to ask whether it was big spending on the internet (true) or media push and collusion that got him elected (or accepted as the selected) president. Likely a combination of all of the above, plus he's a smooth talker (teleprompter reader) and he made a lot of nice gestures called election promises.

Google was a major backer (#6 in contributions) of the Obama campaign.

RE: Google's role in Obama getting Elected
Maybe I should have titled this the MSM's role in getting Obama Elected, but hey I was a n00blet when I looked into this.

Mainstream media controls who wins elections! Proof! MUST SEE!

This John Day guy is in love with Ron Paul. I'm a bit more tempered in throwing the dude flowers, especially now.

I've long suspected this guy is controlled opposition. He's got good ideas but in all his years in congress he's accomplished nil. He does have a constitutional voting record though but methinks he's just there to make people have a little more faith and hope in this gamed political system that represents corporate monopolistic interests and steals from us left, right and sideways via resources, law, lethal force, provocation and money (in countless ways) with a big helping of mind control to feed them.

If I'm wrong fill me in but what has Dr. Ron Paul really done substantively for the good ol USA during his tenure? Maybe he's simply allowed to exist because they know his voice is impotent for anything important or that he'll only go so far and knows his place and his bounds. He does fly the Republican flag, supports incumbants over true libertarians and shies away from any kind of 9/11 debate for starters.

That said he's full of good rhetoric. Real change comes from the grassroots anyways government can only give you something that they've stolen from someone else and organize people. It starts with you and me, don't expect anything from them and you'll never be disappointed.

An old story reborn, something that likely happens more often than we may real eyes.

Quote:Google denies giving Obama's re-election campaign special access to ad programme that provides would-be voters' email addresses

Google has been forced to deny it gave President Barack Obama's re-election campaign special access to a new advertising programme providing potential supporters' email addresses.

A member of staff at the National Republican Senatorial Committee saw an Obama advert on the RealClearPolitics website last month and contacted Google to ask about creating a similar one for the Republicans.

But they were told by a saleswoman the new product was only being released to a select few clients and that Mr Obama enjoyed a special deal with the company.

The new ad programme would charge customers for every email address or other piece of information they collected.

It is an attractive proposition for campaign teams looking to drum up new support using a simple method.

In the email, saleswoman Sirene Abou-Chakra said: 'This is a pre-alpha product that is being released to a select few clients.

'I'd be happy to get you into the beta if you're interested.

A similar email is also believed to have been sent to at least one other Republican firm.

Brian Walsh, communications director for the National Republic Senatorial Committee (NRSC), told 'It certainly raises some red flags that the Obama campaign appears to have been given special access to a new online advertising product.'

But Google spokesman Jake Parrilo denied the claim and said the explanation was simply 'puffery' by the saleswoman.

He said: 'This is an experiment and while we generally do not comment on those experiments we can tell you that we have not sold a single CPL (cost-per-lead) ad unit to any political candidates or committees.'

Google chairman Eric Schmidt was an informal adviser and supporter of Mr Obama and sits on the President's Council of Advisers on Science and Technology.

He has previously been accused of showing favouritism to Mr Obama's campaign.

The advertising programme is set to be launched in the third quarter of 2011.

A statement from Google said: 'It's a cost-effective, easy and scalable way to generate leads.

'Fewer steps for users means they're more likely to complete your lead form.'

In the UK, radio and TV coverage of political parties during an election has to be balanced by law - with equal time allotted to each major party.

But in the U.S., parties pay for election coverage and adverts out of their campaign funds - leading to massive fundraising drives before elections take place.

As noted in the graphic upthread Google was a top contributor to the Democrats in the last election.

RE: Google's role in Obama getting Elected
MSM has been doing something kind of interesting in the primaries this year in hiding him from debates as I have seen on several occasions even on CBC Canada where an analysis of Republican candidates completely omitted Ron Paul.

Now the internet (according to Google) seems to have followed suit.

"Herman Cain"vs "Ron Paul"

Manipulation for sure but so easy to see through and direct it seems that this is being done just to piss people off.

FYI: I'm not really a big Ron Paul fan, nor a Herman Cain backer or any of these puppets - just presenting the data.
