Anybody here Hindu?
Hindu is a name given by the British and then the Muslims for the people of the Indus river.
In the "Hindu" scriptures as we know them: the Bhagavad Gita, The Srimad Bhagvatam, the Rig Veda, doesnt say it is a religion or that it is Hinduism. This is a label given by those outside of the culture. Hinduism today is a perverted form of Vaishnavism.
Many Hindus worship money through the form of Lakshmi or Ganesha . They are demiGods, they are like Gods servants but not God himself. He has thousands of names, Allah, God, Jah, Krishna, Vishnu , Rama, Jehovah.
The worshipping a supreme God incarnates into other forms but he is still only one.
Cos hes God he can do that.:)The same all eternal all loving God comes throughout the ages and says the same message and still we do not listen.
Sermon over:)

you are right. Hinduism is not a correct term for religion of Indian people.

Quote:- The word Hindu has geographical significance and was used originally for those people who lived beyond the river Sindhu or the region watered by the river Indus.

- Some historians say that it was first used by the Persians who came to India through the north western passes of the Himalayas. The word Hindu is no where mentioned in Indian literature or scriptures before the advent of Muslims to India, according to the Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics.

- According to Jawaharlal Nehru in the book Discovery of India on page 74-75, he writes that the earliest reference to the word Hindu can be traced to a tantrik of the 8th Century CE, where it means a people and not a follower of a particular religion. The use of the word Hindu in connection with a particular religion is of late occurrence.

- According to the Hindu scholars Hinduism is a misnomer and it should be referred a Sanatana Dharma, meaning eternal religion or Vedic Dharma meaning religion of the Veda. According to Swami Vivekananda the followers of this religion is referred as Vedantist.

Salem Kirban quotes Weishaupt gloating over his successes in a letter to Illuminatus Cato:

The most admirable thing of all is that great Protestant and reformed theologians [Lutherans and Calvinists] who belong to our Order really believe they see in it the true and genuine mind of the Christian religion. Oh man, what can not you be brought to believe?

These people swell our numbers and fill our treasury; get busy and make these people nibble at our bait.. .but do not tell them our secrets. They must be made to believe that the low degree that they have reached is the highest
