RE: Global Warming - Do You Know What Causes It?
If you ignore parts of the problem your answers won't be correct. The whole is more than the sum of the parts, according to synergetics and general systems theory. These so called scientists don't include all of the parts and they don't understand general systems theory or synergetics. In other words all they are doing is making a living by regurgitating what the power structure wants to hear.
An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.

Global warming is the result of alien farts. The simple solution is to kill the aliens. Duh. (I apologize in advance on account of my drunkenness.)

RE: Global Warming - Do You Know What Causes It?
Humans Are Causing The Problem. Because, We are accelerating the natural climatological cycles with our human-created emissions of greenhouse gases. The primary gas, carbon dioxide, is released every time you use fossil fuels- currently our main energy source. Unless you help stop those emissions, there is little hope of a secure future for humans.

The problem with this silly idea is that CO2 is what plants breathe. CO2 does not pollute the atmosphere, it helps the plants grow.

Thanks for playing. Try again.

RE: Global Warming - Do You Know What Causes It?
There are several causes of Global Warming, it is important to learn about what is affecting our world. Global Warming is a very serious threat to our way of life. Here is the thread with a very important and essential topic the discussion carried all is helpful. There are many proven facts that demonstrate how global warming has affected certain parts of our planet. The future predictions of global warming are important to note also. Things don't look so good, but there are some things we can do to slow down the process.

Scientists Now Know: We're From Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy! Oh BTW. Global warming explained.

ok... you've basically just posted two contradictory pieces - one says we're moving into a new galaxy, one says we're moving out of it... global warming is explained even more weakly than it is in Snore's mockumentary... I guess you wanted to show completely unsubstantiated drift on three different levels... one away from the topic of the thread, one out of our galaxy, and one away from rationality... interesting stuff, none the less, but I'd suggest starting a new thread.

welcome to the forum.

Duh. Who'd think we can move into new galaxy without moving out of a one. That would be blasphemy would it not.
Define weak. Don't go around giving vague comments on things you don't understand. If you have a reading / comprehension issue, it's your problem, not mine.

You might find it interesting that Greenhouse gases explain only 5-10 percent from global warming [ planned june "Nature"! publication ]

You're right - when I actually read the article that doesn't really belong on this thread, I realized that it wasn't contradictory - but that doesn't change the fact that the info on global warming (which does belong on this thread, but was buried on the second page of the first link,) is weak and unsubstantiated. I didn't really take the time to read through it at first, because I was looking for a pertinent response to the thread, not some theory about cannibalistic galaxies... and, come on... "blasphemy"? really?

In the future, you might want to post the paragraph of pertinent info, rather than making us dig through stuff that's off topic in order to find it, or simply start a new thread. Being a newbie here, it's not as if we owe you the time to dig through shit that you find important in order to find stuff that we came to this thread looking for. If you want us to read about our solar system's origins, post it where that's the topic. We'll read it, if we're interested. Maybe, over time, when you've proven that the info you post is worth reading, this type of thing won't irritate so much. For now though, you don't have to make personal attacks about the reading comprehension of a person you don't know - first of all, since you don't know me, and haven't read anything I've ever posted, it makes you look kind of ignorant, and secondly, what if I actually had a learning disability? Wouldn't you be a rude, insensitive bastard in that case?

Truth is, and I'm just making an assumption here, but If you had posted just the info that relates to the thread, I probably wouldn't be the only one bagging on it. I'm just the only one that decided to go through to the second page to find it. I'm interested in the theory, which I stated in the first place, and I believe it deserves some attention on its own, which is why I suggested you start a new thread where it could be examined. I didn't attack you personally, I voiced skepticism about your information's validity.

No need to be a dick about it, simply try to back it up for us simpletons you've only recently decided to enlighten by your presence here...

and maybe not assume we're as ignorant as you seem to be trying to prove yourself to be?

RE: Global Warming - Do You Know What Causes It?
The only thing weak and unsubstantiated is your argument. Go and read the paper and come back and define weak.
When I said you have a reading / comprehension problem, I wasn't
making an assumption, but was replying to your post. And, looks like I wasn't far off.
If you have a problem with connecting the galaxy cannibalizing with the warming of the sol system then you need to get off your ass and make an attempt to learn about the consequences and implications of this scientific finding. Instead of posing as a paragon of wisdom and writing lengthy posts about nothing substantial, you could spend your time more wisely by learning to read and analyse scientific data.
And lay off the thread if you don't have anything to contribute.... cheers.

Chill pill

RE: Global Warming - Do You Know What Causes It?
Well there are so many reasons for the Global Warming. A greenhouse gas is a gas that traps heat in the earth's atmosphere. Due to the huge increase of CO2, the atmosphere has gotten thicker and thicker. because of this, more heat waves get trapped on earth, causing higher temperatures. this is why the polar ice caps are melting. by the end of our lifetime, polar bears will be extinct. Population is also a main reason because, more people means more food, and more methods of transportation. That means more methane because there will be more burning of fossil fuels, and more agriculture.

RE: Warmlist - A Complete List of Things Caused By Global Warming
Global Warming’s effects, A to Z ... The Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UNXv6IUhC4

Quote:Dr. John Brignell, a retired professor of industrial instrumentation at the University of Southampton in Britain, compiled an impressive list of alarmist claims cited in news reports that man-made global warming has caused, or will cause. There are 826 things on that list, some are even contradictory.

Now, to put a visual face on this list, we have a video. While it doesn’t cover all 826 things that are “caused by global warming.” It’s fun and entertaining to watch because it picks some of the most salient effects. Don’t watch it while eating your morning corn flakes.
