Quote:Hey, I'd love it if you could do mine too... Seems interesting and fun!

June 26th 1982, 4:00 pm("ish")

I'm already aware there seems to be HEAVY water influences with my signs and all... being both a water dog and a cancer.

in fact, from what i've been looking into with all this, some of this seems so "heavy" i have to be honest and say it slightly scares me, for a variety of reasons..................
Hey daDragon,

You're right that you have a heavy water dominance in your signs but you also have a large metal influence as well. While your birth year is water both your birth sign and your rising sign are metal. This is good because metal is said to 'hold' water, or support it. The cycle of elements goes like this:

Fire nurtures earth because from fire ash is created,
Earth nurtures metal because from the earth, metal is 'created'
Metal nurtures water because metal makes a water-tight vessel,
Water nurtures wood, for obvious reasons,
and wood clearly nurtures fire.

So it is clear that metal and water have an important relationship, in Taoist thought anyhow. Metal traits include strength, independence, intensity and fluence of speech. Metal signs make for powerful, determined people. A monkey rising sign also means a very in-your-face and dominant personality. There's also a slightly masculine dominance to the yin/yang relationship of all the elements and signs at play here. This will increase the prevalence for confrontational and aggressive behavior.

However, I'm willing to bet you're not a bully personality because of the Water birth year. Water signs are sensitive and creative rather than destructive and indifferent. However, one thing to think about is the Serpent associated with your signs as well, this in the area related to how you view relationships. It can mean jealousy which you should be careful of, especially since water signs are prone to fear and uncertainty and metal signs make for intense and dominant personalities. However, I'm not saying you're some crazy jealous maniac, you never know how subtle these things may manifest themselves.

Besides, Black Dogs are also very caring, empathetic, and harbor a great disdain for injustice. You understand right and wrong and don't do anyone unjust harm. Black Dogs are also caring and sensitive partners with an intuitive sense of what is causing any conflict in your relationship. Combined with your direct personality I am sure you smooth out conflicts in your relationships fairly quickly.

I would say you are a saavy communicator and good people person. You probably find making friends rather easy. You may intimidate some but you aren't an intimidating person on purpose. Monkeys make for talented people who can pick up new things rather easily. They are also easily distracted and have difficulty staying focused on long term tasks. You may also be a little too generous with your money, but probably also somewhat successful, so maybe it isn't such a bad thing. Also, I am willing to bet you are probably close with your family and protective of any siblings you may have.

Dogs, serpents and monkeys are considered some of the most intelligent of all the signs. The rat is more clever perhaps, but the monkey is quick and the serpent is wise. I am sure you are a good student and are probably pursuing more education. If you haven't already found yourself in an industry that you are successful in. You may not be patient enough for a university education.

2008 will probably be a good year for you. You'll stay healthy. You may focus too much on work and get understimulated, so try to plan something out of the ordinary schedule now and again to stay optimistic. It is a good time to be focused on business this year though, as it will be a time of growth for you. You'll also find family conflicts will ease or cease this year.

Also, you may find yourself entering into a new romance with someone two years younger than yourself. Or if you already are, expect it to grow stronger.

Hope it sounds familiar, man.
Peace.

Thanks, triplesix!

It was interesting, and I must give extra thanks for the breakdown on the elements, makes a lot of sense to me.

You wrote: "However, I'm willing to bet you're not a bully personality because of the Water birth year."

Correctomundo! In fact, my problem most of the time is more of the opposite, being too timid or not "standing up," leading to many ppl perceiving me as weak, trying to be kind to people and later discovering they only want to "use" me in various ways, that kind of thing. I've been working on this problem for quite a while now, though.

You wrote: "Water signs are sensitive and creative rather than destructive and indifferent."

Indeed, I'm much more sensitive and creative than destructive. I really abhor negativity, unfortunately I've been regularly afflicted with a bit of depression AND negativity for a few years now, but I really truly don't believe that's who I really "am." It's really more been an issue of having a few dreams (as well as possibly naive hopes) crushed, and in the process also lose some of my "drive" and positive energy. Behind these problems, there is no doubt there's a strong creative spirit, albeit also with an abundance of sensitivity at times.

This is / seems to be very, very spot on for the most part.

You wrote: "I would say you are a saavy communicator and good people person. You probably find making friends rather easy."

I think I can be a good communicator, also a good ppl person, but this is not how my life has turned out for various reasons. As people DO perceive me, I think many would call me either shy or a recluse/holding back. I mostly stay with a rather small and limited circle of friends... But in actuality, if I really "went for it," I don't think I'd have much problem making a lot more friends.

You wrote: "Monkeys make for talented people who can pick up new things rather easily."

Where is this monkey thing coming from? Okay, I saw you mentioned it beforehand ("a monkey rising"), but you didn't mention why I have a monkey sign too?

You wrote: "The rat is more clever perhaps, but the monkey is quick and the serpent is wise. I am sure you are a good student and are probably pursuing more education."

Well, I think I can be an excellent student, but I have both a certain amount of "authority issues" (really, I'm sort of a "freedom-loving" person and anything constraining I can find almost unbearable) and also, if the teaching or the methodology makes me (too) bored, I can become so "out of it" that nothing, and I mean NOTHING, penetrates my skull... My grandmother used to try to teach me mathematics (she was a teacher) and often I'd find myself going into a totally different mode of consciousness, a sort of "slipping-into-limbo" semi-sleep-like state, where I couldn't even grasp the most basic thing.

It was my "anti-will" of not wanting to do what I was doing, that stepped in and caused my will to be fulfilled - NOT LEARNING ANYTHING:).

Anyway, there were a few things that was obviously quite spot-on, so I'm pleased with the results, that it is not completely, 100% correct, was something I expected before you even replied.

PS, about the thing I said with some of the things being so "heavy" it slightly scares me (answer to swansong as well), well, I was mostly thinking of the water influences. I was sort of fearing that I had TOO much water influence, making me unbalanced in certain ways. Specifically, I'm also connected to the moon (being a cancer) as well as water, which gives me an abundance of what could be said to be FEMININE influences.

Being a 26 year old male, it isn't always an advantage if your heavily influenced by feminine energies or forces. So that's why I was a little "scared," sort of. OK - I'll be completely honest. In addition to this, I have also felt these influences in me, physically and psychically and spiritually speaking. And this was some of the things I was wondering about, as I want to "work" with this to achieve the best possible outcome for me personally and my life.

Cheers dude,

Sorry if I didn't completely explain what I was talking about. Your birthsign is determined by the month you were born and the element by a bit of numerology having to do with the year, your rising sign on the other hand is determined by the hour you were born, and this reflects your outward personality more than your underlying character.

Peace.

Edit: By the way, don't get too stressed out about having feminine signs. I'm a yin-water boar, which is already a water sign, so I have nearly maximum 'femininity' in my signs, if it weren't for my dog rising sign. It doesn't have to mean that you are necessarily girly or anything. Remember that masculine/feminine is just one expression of yang and yin. You just have a large yin dominance. So you're tai chi not karate. Either one will kick ass.

Peace.

Thanks, triplesix. You're absolutely right about the things you said in your "edit" part answering my slight worry about the 'feminine/yin' influences.........

And it actually helped me a bit, sort of lol;), so thanks.

Sorry Swansong but there is little good to say about 2009.

2009 is the yin Earth year of the Ox, which is an Earth element animal, so we have dual Earth influences.

The Ox favours those stubborn, narrow-minded, indisicriminate about offending others, and for those in public office, those who are dismissive of the people, resolute, conservative, indeterable, ambitious and methodical.

Ox years often show preperations in politics for slick politicians to manipulate the people in the following Tiger year, which favors Barack-type swindlers. It is a year often falling on or preceding disasterous world events. Previous Ox years include 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, and 1985.

Also, the interplay of elements ensure the first six months will be better than the latter, meaning unequivocally the worst is yet to come.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news.

Peace.
