When so many are struggling for connection, inspiration and hope, Fantastic Fungi brings us together as interconnected creators of our world.

Fantastic Fungi, directed by Louie Schwartzberg, is a consciousness-shifting film that takes us on an immersive journey through time and scale into the magical earth beneath our feet, an underground network that can heal and save our planet. Through the eyes of renowned scientists and mycologists like Paul Stamets, best-selling authors Michael Pollan, Eugenia Bone, Andrew Weil and others, we become aware of the beauty, intelligence and solutions the fungi kingdom offers us in response to some of our most pressing medical, therapeutic, and environmental challenges.

Wow brah I see that you really like documentaries about drugs and fungi.:))

Dosed and Fantastic Fungi were in production at the same time as eachother and were released a week apart. I have not had many experiences myself with fungi, but am interested in the research being done concerning mental health and psychedelics.

Everyone should do mushrooms.

There used to be a store downtown that sold magic mushrooms. They still sell stuff like 70x concentrate salvia divinorum and amanita muscaria mushrooms. But according to Dosed, there are also lots of sitters/therapists in Canada that can provide psilocybin mushrooms. Definitely worth looking more into.

The dark web also has special sites set up to get legitimate synthetic DMT. Just have to know how to set up and use BitCoin...

I smoked Salvia and was convinced that because I couldn't see my hand, when I waved it around behind my head, that it was in someone's iphone.

I am not sure it has medicinal value, but it can certainly enhance the imagination!

This one was a good watch, if you are interested in these sorts of things. His episode on salvia was especially funny -- but the best one for me (because I knew so little about it) was on PCP or angel dust. How do y'all feel about spoiler alerts here? cuz there is a damn funny scene there but I don't wanna take the wind outta anybody's viewing sails...

Really good.

I liked the Peyote/Mescaline episode. That shaman who was 70 and looked 50 and just seemed like the most enlightened dude. That could be me one day :)

MUSHIE SEASON AND NO-ONE CAN GET OUT TO PICK EM.. NIGHTMARE!

Thankfully in my part of the world I can still go outside and explore nature. Definitely physical distancing there. But I certainly do not trust myself to pick the right mushrooms. I think the mushroom season is more around September here anyways...

this is more of a visual treat than a strictly informative docu about fungi. not to say I didn't like it.

thanks for the upload.

This took more than 5 years to complete! The cinematography and time lapse photography of mushrooms growing and all of the CGI is remarkable.

very remarkable indeed. but I wonder in one scene the lapse photography was not from a fixed point of view and it was moving the angle of camera and also lapsing, I wonder how do they do that!!

the camera must take few month to move that few inches!!!
