This is a compilation of documents, media clips, propaganda and news
documentaries related to the concepts of democracy and despotism. In a
despotism, the public media is used to create inherent division. Its
citizens consensually participate in their own oppression by fighting
each other for political and moral authority.

True democracy, if there is such a thing, is made up of differing opinion
and perspectives from individuals who come together to act. Our splintered
society of staged elections, dialectical confrontation and reactionary
tactics is a false reality. The a “freedom” that we create by fighting
for it is a product of our imaginations. Only by seeing how we are being
used against each other, and by giving each other mutual respect can we
begin to work to gether towards true freedom.

"Despotism - Encyclopedia Britannica 1946.mpg" - a film based upon the work
of Harold Lasswell, a researcher who was obsessed with the ideas behind
power, authority and mass manipulation. It explains how people can live
under a consensual despotism in which we all participate.

"2000 Presidential Elections - Unprecedented.avi" - This doc includes Greg
Palasts research into the die bold system and the rigged elections in 2000.
It was also one of the few documentaries to come out before the war in iraq,
so it isn't as polarizing as much of the anti-war documentaries came to be.

"Al Franken - Commonwealth Club 2002.mp3" - he was the first person I
heard in the main stream media saying the elections were stolen and talking
things from a ironic and comedic perspective. This interview inspired me
in 2003, all before he started his terrible "left of the dial" radio show.

"CBC - The Fifth-Estate - Sticks-and-Stones - 18 Jan 2005.avi" - the first
documentary to directly address the "with us or against us" divisionism
found in the mainstream US press. This Canadian documentary talks about
how the news media divides us by creating the Red vs Blue confrontation.

"CSpan - White House Correspondents - Stephen Colbert 2006.avi" - speech
given recently at the annual press corr dinner where comedian Stephen
Colbert uses ironic self-impersonation to make a very public and damning
commentary on how the press and the administration are a single force

"Interview in Rome with Jon Rappoport - Robin Good 2005.avi" - Jon shows
us to the concept of only seeing reality "within the frame". He speaks on
how the news media self-censors to create a reality which is limited
and divisive, and how we become reality creators by believing it.

"Interview on CBC with GNN's Stephen Marshall -2004.avi" - A segment on
alternative news sources on the internet. Stephen Marshall of GNN gives
his perspective on how fighting a war between right-left benefits the
elites by never allowing the people to come together to create change.

"Jon Stewart - Crossfire - October 15th 2004.avi" - The appearence
which some say got Crossfire canceled a few months later. Jon similarly
to what Stephen Colbert did at the White House Dinner, gives us his
individual opinion as an an activist stances which confront the
dialectical opposition the media presents in each issue.

"Jon Stewart - CSpan 1 hour - October 14th 2005.avi" - Conducted Just after
the presidential debates in 2004, here Jon confronts the media itself on
its complete failure to do anything but repackage political spin created
by two robots and their partisan strategists.

"Media - Top 25 Censored Stories of 2002-2003.txt" - A interesting file
I found in 2003 which compiles some news stories and events which we know
about today, but were not being covered by any mainstream news at the time.

"News Documentary - How Arnold Won The West 2004.avi" - Excellent document
showing how the California recall election and the Arnold campaign used
the media to help undermine the democratic process and secure his election.

"Politics of Karl Rove - Bush's Brain - 2004 Documentary.avi" - a film which
discusses what it calls "the mark of Rove", a style of Machiavellian politics
and strategy employed by Karl Rove and the neoconservative movement. Details
how he creates strawmen, press leaks and FBI indictments for his opponents.

"Sander Hicks, Jim Hatfield - Horns and Halos 2001.avi" - A tale of political
and media manipulation as told through the lives of author Jim Hatfield,
who wrote ""Fortunate Son" and Sander Hicks of Softskull publishing. These
guys were victims of "the mark of Rove" during the 2000 elections.

"Spin - Unedited Satellite Feeds of Elections in the 1990s.avi" - possibly
the finest documentary on self-censorship and bias ever produced. This
unassuming yet effective film gives us a behind the scenes look at what
happened during the presidential election campaigns of the nineteen nineties.

"Spreading Democracy Through Broadband In South Korea 2005.avi" - the Desk
news piece covering the spread of digital democracy in South Korea. Here
peopel have rebuilt their societies democratic system around the free
exchange of information by the citizens themselves.

"Staged Elections and Global Theatre - Jon Rappoport 2004.mp3" - This was
recorded just before the 2004 elections. Jon focuses on how the
political system is designed like a funnnel which polarizes us into two
factions and swallows all the individual oppinions in the the middle.

"Testimony of Clinton Curtis - Election Hacking 2000-2004.avi" - shocking
testimony by Curtis Clinton in Ohio just after the 2004 elections. Curtis
states he was hired to create software which would "flip the vote" for one
candidate or another and leave no paper trail of evidence behind.

"The Presidential Election 2004 - No Paper Trail Left Behind.mp3" - Dennis
Loo discusses his research on Guns and Butter about how the 2004 and 2000
election software has allowed votes in key states to be manipulated.

"The Stealing of America - James Collier 1994" - Roy of Hollywood gives
and interview with James Collier about his book VOTESCAM, which details
cover-ups and vote machine fraud being used in the 80s and 90s.

"Vote Beeblebrox - Zaphod's Song" - Election campaign ad for the
president of the universe...

For maximum compatibility all files have been converted to low bit mp3 or DivX.
There are also some WMV which either couldn't be re-encoded or were kept intact
due to their small size. All photos are in jpg or gif format, and most webpages
are included in archive MHT files. Converting these files ensures maximum
compatibility and play back on most computers and portable media players.

All files should be considered sub-retail and for education only.

are freely recorded or downloaded from public sources before being compiled.
