Shot in the Head? CIA and Rwanda
Hi Professor Wagner: I was just talking to Ryan who works at the Bookhouse in Dinkytown. I was telling him about Wayne Madsen's book on Rwanda and how Madsen was supposed to testify at a UN Human Rights Investigation but he received a death threat stating he would not make it to the airport. Madsen lives in D.C. and has books published at http://trineday.com. His focus was on the CIA's role in creating the Rwandan genocide.
Are you familiar with Madsen's work and what's your take on it if you care to comment? Thanks. Ryan said that you had indeed been shot in the head for this same type of testimony. I'm surprised that it doesn't seem to be in the media but maybe you want discretion and I apologise for any intrusion. Anyway he described you as being very optimistic. I studied with Professor Rose Brewer in a couple classes, the second as a self-directed study in nonwestern philosophy, practicing traditional healing under a Chinese qigong master -- http://springforestqigong.com. This was based on the book "The Racial Contract." Anyway that was around 2000 and before 9-11, so things were different back then! Maybe you know Dr. John E. Peck at Madison? I spent a lot of time with him there doing activism when I did my undergrad and he was doing a lot of African studies work for his Ph.D. He's now at http://familyfarmdefenders.org I did a lot of activism at the U of MN when I got my M.A. in Liberal Studies and I now work at Clean Water Action while also reading about a book a day, plus sitting in full-lotus as much as possible. All the best, drew hempel, http://mothershiplanding.blogspot.com |
