Does Tony Blair Think He's the True Reincarnation of Julian the Apostate?

August 27, 2009 (LPAC)-Since leaving 10 Downing Street, Tony Blair has converted to Catholicism, and has put himself forward as the reincarnation of Julian the Apostate—all on behalf of the British oligarchy. We are in the process of profiling one of the many hats that Blair has been wearing in recent years: founder and leader of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. When Blair first converted, a senior U.S. intelligence source warned that Blair was creating a string of religious fronts, including charitable and tax exempt outfits, to take up the same slimy operations as the BAE/Saudi "Al Yamamah" offshore covert slush fund. The TBFF seems to fit the bill.

The organization, launched at a big celebration at the Time Warner Building in New York City in May 2008, is based in London, and at the Yale Divinity School, where Tony Blair holds a chair and teaches courses in "religion and globalization." Among the directors and religious advisory board members of the TBFF are:

* Lord Richard Chartres, the Anglican Bishop of London, who also is a member of the Privy Council, and the Dean of the Royal Household Chapel. Bishop Chartres is a 30-year-long spiritual advisor and close friend of Prince Charles, and was denounced for his role in the coverup of the murder of Princess Diana.

* Dr. Ismael Khudr Al-Shatti, a leading Muslim Brotherhood figure and advisor to the Prime Minister of Kuwait.

* Rabbi David Rosen, the head of the ADL in Israel.

* Rick Warren, the pastor of the Saddleback Church in California, and the fundie minister who delivered the invocation at Barack Obama's inauguration cerimony.

Further reports will show that Blair is at the center of a whole nest of British oligarchical front groups, promoting religious war throughout the globe. In a speech delivered at an international conference in Rimini, Italy, today, Blair asserted that the key dynamic in the Holy Land is not the quest for justice for the Palestinians. It is religious conflict.
