Atlantis

Hi there,

Was doing some research and from most of what I read, Atlantis is considered to be the first point in history (about 9600 BC or so) which inspired
or handed down the esoteric scrolls/knowledge to the mystery schools and subsequently given to Solomon, etc.

I was wondering if anyone knows of some good IN-DEPTH books or videos on Atlantis. I've read Plato's account, but I want to know more about 'who' the people were, what their culture was like, who their King was, and how they lived their lives, who they worshipped, etc.

If anyone has some good recommendations on further Atlantis reading/dvd's, I'd love to hear it..Thx

Try the film "Warlords Of Atlantis" - it's about as verifiably accurate as the rest of that myth.

Here's a plot summary:

"Searching for the lost world of Atlantis, Prof. Aitken, his son Charles and Greg Collinson are betrayed by the crew of their expedition's ship, attracted by the fabulous treasures of Atlantis. The diving bell destroyed, a deep sea monster attacks the boat. They are all dragged to the bottom of the sea where they meet the inhabitants of the lost continent, an advance alien race makes slaves of the ship-wrecked sailors. The aliens want to rule the human world to create a Nazi state. Due to his high IQ, they think that Charles may join them. Greg and the team will need the help of Delphine, the daughter of a slave, to escape the city surrounded by evil creatures."

The best thing about it is it stars Doug McClure!!! You might remember him from such movies as: Humanoids From The Deep, At The Earths Core, The Land That Time Forgot and Firebird 2015 AD.

But if you really want to pollute your brain with more Atlantis myths try these TV programmes written and presented by Graham Hancock: Quest For The Lost Civilisation, Atlantis: In Search Of A Lost Continent and the Horizon episode "Atlantis Reborn".
