He doesn't live in the U.S., notice how he spells "favourite" . Maybe he lives in the UK or Canada.

Actually it means nothing, just purely an observation. I picked up on certain nuances over the years on how people say things and the differences of saying things from country to country. Especially differences from UK and the U.S.

We really don't use the word 'flat' to describe a place that we live at and rent, we call them apartments here in the U.S.

We never say "lets watch sport on the telly" in the U.S. We have bars they have pubs. We have gas, they have petrol. We have trucks, they have lorries. We have quarts, they have liters. They use 'mum', we use 'mom'. A row is something one does with paddles and a boat here in the U.S., a 'row' in other countries means an argument or a fight. Fancy in the U.S. means something extravagant or specially made. Fancy in the UK means something to take a liking to, interested in like a man would fancy a woman....
