Researchers use spoofing to 'hack' into a flying drone
Quote:American researchers took control of a flying drone by hacking into its GPS system - acting on a $1,000 (£640) dare from the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-18643134 The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. So now when a drone hits an elementary school and kills a bunch of kids it will be because it was sppofed by terrorists, (truthers, AGW deniers, Muslims, etc), who like to kill little kids. TPTB are seeding their excuse prior to needing it, their usual modus operandi.

Yeah, its pretty frightening , especially considering that police departments are starting to use 'em without any form approval from any form of government - there's absolutely no form of notification to the public in many cases. The best and easiest way to combat this problem is to create local ordinances that forbid their use. There's a template here.
