RE: Project Censored Top Censored Stories of 2012
I think the most censored story of 2011 is

1. True story about Fukushima and the cover up of the radiation in Japan and across the globe.

see number 8, and check out ¨Guilliani Partners¨ in general... Guilliani is probably the most evil man alive that one can resarch.

Thank you, but all I did was pass along the info that´s readily available. I try to post this content from Project Censored in some space that people (who give a shit) will pay attention to every year. The site is most definitely worth book-marking.

RE: Project Censored Top Censored Stories of 2012
I have a huge issue with number five on that list. Whoever wrote that article needs to have their liberal head cleaned out, they've been watching too much msnbs.

It should read, anti ILLEGAL immigration. Sb1070 targets ILLEGAL aliens, not people looking to migrate here legally. Living in a southwest border state for the last decade I can tell you that this state and nation don't have a problem with people who come here legally and pay income tax to contribute to the public services that they use.

The problem arises when people sneak across the border, then hide in the shadows, while they use a stolen identity of a US citizen so they can get work. Or those who sneak here illegally and then work for cash, don't report it, then send it back to their families in other countries. They put a drain on our many systems because they aren't paying for them, like healthcare when these illegals go to the hospital to give birth that they cant pay for (it costs how much today to have an obstetrician deliver a baby? 6000 or 8000 dollars?). Or when they enroll their kid in school and can't afford it, AND the kid needs to have a special teacher teach them english. Or when they get in trouble with the law and can't pay for the court fees or lawyer fees. The taxpayer takes up the slack for all of those and that's just another reason why this nation is struggling. Taxpayers being FORCED to pay for freeloaders.

If the bleeding hearts want to pay for illegal immigration, be my guest. Get out your checkbook.

Illegal is not a race, it is a crime. So please, do not confuse illegal immigration, with legal immigration. They are not the same.

When I have more time I'll a dress the others on the list. Like the mutilating of female genitals. That makes me angry, why mutilate such a wonderful thing?

RE: Project Censored Top Censored Stories of 2012
A couple of points:

1) All of this information had been made available on various news aggregator sites, and therefore is not censored.

2) Ignorance is always amusing.

And I would agree that Project Censored is worth bookmarking, but not for its ability to produce information in a rational manner. It's an excellent example of how little work some would do in seeking this information in the first place. If it were truly censored, Project Censored wouldn't be able to report it. That, my friends, is hypocrisy at its finest. Project Censorship is run by two types of people: pig fuckers and dog fuckers.

I do want to clarify one of the points, #17, too, not that the entire series of articles needs a complete overhaul.

NDM-1 (the alleged superbug) had been uncovered as early as March of 2011, and had been in the spotlight from time to time since. Also, NDM-1 isn't a superbug. It's an enzyme that's been recently absorbed into the genetic profiles of a number of what are now considered "superbugs".

I point this out just to demonstrate how useless Project Censored is in terms of reporting facts. The rest of them you can look up for yourselves, of course.

I'm rather relieved to see few Limbaugh-style "Mega Dittos" from responders, but less so that only me and one other user actually questioned any of the information in the article. This and other threads show how much ConCen's userbase is helping the holders of the old order to turn fear into a religion and the rest of the world away from seeking truth and fact.

Thanks, I had to clarify that because the pro illegal/criminal crowd always muddies that issue.

Seems like they always throw in the words Latino, Mexican or Hispanic even though no one mentioned anything about a specific race or ethnicity.

They seem to always fail to remember that people come here illegally from all over the globe, and that according to statistics the biggest offenders of migrating here illegally are from Honduras, eqcuador, and Guatemala.

I don't give two shits who comes to the USA as long as they follow the law. At least until the IRS is eliminated and none of us pay income tax anymore.

RE: Project Censored Top Censored Stories of 2012
Yes, some of it´s lefty, some of it´s B.S., but most of it is worth knowing about. The point is that they try to shine some light on some stories that are, yes, CENSORED by the mainstream media. In this day and age, no one can block every story from public attention in every place online, and honestly, you get a lot of schlock and perpetuation of the left/right bullshit story because of that fact, and that gives rise to more bobbleheads that care less about informing and more about inflaming. They don´t claim to give you the whole story, but a wrap of a certain situations, and give you some avenues to find out more. They don´t give you leads contradicting what they say, but then again, neither does anybody else. I believe their idea is to actually get people into the habit of finding these types of stories themselves and figuring out their own understanding of the issues involved - that´s why they give you places to find out more about them. Most people, at least in the US, aren´t smart enough to get their news from anywhere but the major networks (not cable,) for 1-1.5 hrs a night. this is trying to educate people how to use current methods to research for themselves. I think they tend to have a lefty slant sometimes simply because more lefties for a longer time have been critical of government and media... the last three decades have certainly not made them happy, and even the democratic presidents have been for the most part, progressively more neoliberal, the same as republicans have shifted toward neoconservativism. Basically, unless you´re the type that thinks international banks, mega corporations and faceless trade organizations are AWESOME, you´re probably are damn near hating the government and mainstream media, (if you´re not already there,) whether you´re on this site, or whether you´re listening to npr or abc radio. if you´re clueless enough to enjoy sitcoms and reality shows, there ain´t much hope for you to begin with.

So basically, in my opinion, no matter what the slant, and even if some bullshit rhetorical unproven crap floats through, if the majority of information that comes at you is accurate, tries to both educate you and leave you to make your own conclusions rather than ranting at you editorially, then I´m OK with it. if you´re only OK with places that preach to the choir, (if you´re a regular here,) then you must be very lonely...

...and I´m not bagging on anyone, (at least I´m not trying to,) I´m just observing that totally accurate sources of media are few and far between, and if you question the status quo in this world enough to hang out here but will only tolerate places that conform to your worldview, you´l find that there are limited resources available.
