No, you haven't misunderstood, but are merely trying to twist my words, it doesn't really work well on a forum where there's a clear record though.

You see, you didn't say that directly, but the same principle applies. Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? It's just, I remember years back visiting the states and my cousins insisted on getting Monty Python: Search for the Holy Grail out (me being the British cousin, their inspiration I guess). As I welled with tears of laughter, they sat shocked, horrified and a little disturbed.

Actually, as a smoker, I can tell you that such statements have more of an affect that anything else. I don't smoke in the house where my kids are, actually, recently I have been upgraded to a shed as we have moved house, for when I want to smoke.

But if I was bombarded daily with, "your children are more likely to smoke if you continue", "it's likely your children and loved ones will suffer while watching you get ill with smoke related illnesses and possibly die from a related disease", "your breath smells like crap, literally", "the money you spend on tobacco not only goes to huge corporations, usually owned by the very people you claim to be opposed to on a philosophical and political level, but that money could be spent on your children, or even on children who are in more need than your own" (real charity/love). "Do you really want to die like your grandfather?"

Man, that's probably work much better. Who really cares about their own personal safety these days with things such as smoking? Not until faced with our own fragile mortality do much needed changes to bad habits and addictions usually curb. There are of course always exceptions, and I am merely making a generalisation based on experience, knowledge and many friends and family over the years.

Don't get me wrong man, I'm not suggesting you should like what the guy does, and honestly, I'm unsure I'd join him on such a stint, though I did join him and many others for a Free Hugs afternoon during the summer in a Welsh town called Wrexham That was up my street!

After all this time since Charlies "change of mind", I wonder, what would have happened if all the negative stuff that was put his way, instead that energy had been channelled into alternatives that people did agree on. It doesn't take much intelligence to point out flaws in the actions of others, but takes a fair amount to gather a coherent plan of our own. It's probably why I'm often seen as "the devils advocate", but I am merely suggesting a redirection of efforts.

Anyone can bring down a system (thats the main approach terrorists use) it takes a brain to say what happens after the collapse has taken effect.

Veitch (and like minded followers) are all revolution, bring down the system etc but NO plan (coherent or otherwise) whatsoever as to what should take its place.

I have an idea, how about talking to people like humans and trying to be relatively respectfully instead of this elitist, anti-social "I know better than you" b.s. But the guy's a fucking Communist so he doesn't know what he's talking about anyway.
