How do you embed videos in forum posts?
I have an off-topic question about embedding videos and pics in threads. searched the FAQs and howtos and didnt really find an answer. I think i've got YT videos down but whats up with pics and gifs?

I thought this question should have it's own thread. If you click 'New Reply' (or 'reply' below individual posts) you will get a new page to write your message in. With the window you type into looking much like a word processing program. See the TV image to the far right, it's a drop down menu with sites supported, click youtube and pate the url of the video page. And that's it

Images have to be hosted online, and that would be the same place, but the button that looks like a picture. I have sure you could work the others out by clicking them and experimenting. Text can also be selected and made bold, etc, but also, can be turned into a link. Have an experiment!

I fixed it for you. To see how it should look, just edit your post above. It's much easier than you thought it was. All you need to do is stick the URL of an image between the tags.
To find a URL, select the image you want on some page on the web, then right click on the image, select view image. If you see nothing but the image, then you know you can copy the URL that is in the location bar into the tag. |
