Rainbow Paul Green on "Practical Internet Privacy"
There are two (long!) articles by Paul Green on "internet privacy" that ConCen members may find useful.

Both of these articles are quite long with tons of "embedded" web links ...

... but they both avoid using "high-tech" jargon for those who are not "tech savvy".

The first article is called PRACTICAL INTERNET PRIVACY and is available at this link.

The second article is called PRACTICAL INTERNET PRIVACY--POSTSCRIPT and is available at this link.

Both articles cover privacy issues concerning:

--Web browsing
--Proxy browsing
--Electronic mail privacy
--Voice and chat privacy
--Phone privacy
--Mobile call privacy
--Online payment privacy
--Online identity privacy
--Data backup privacy
--Privacy from surveillance
--Bypassing censorship
--Email stealing
--Traveling through borders and checkpoints
--Internet "shutdowns"
--Operating system "security programs"
--Comparisons of Windows, Mac, and Linux OS's
--VPN services
--File sharing privacy
--Internet call privacy
--Review of privacy and Internet call providers
--VPN privacy
--Privacy hardware
--And more ...

As Paul Green says:

[beginning of quote: ]

I hope these methods will enable you to take some more privacy steps.

The objective is reasonable caution, not fear, in the face of current oppressive trends. These activities are the death throes of a failed system.

The source of danger is real, but might be compared to Frankenstein’s monster – inevitably doomed, and not so smart.

Monoliths like the NSA, for example, with associated corporate workfare recipients, absorb and then slowly stifle human creativity in their hierarchical straitjackets.

That’s why, by God’s grace, as long as there are individuals who choose freedom; we will always be one step ahead.

[end of quote]

Enjoy ...

... and please post your comments, thoughts, personal suggestions, etc., on "internet privacy"!! Smile

Thanks solar.

An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.

Did you think you were put here for something less?
