This is Howard DeVore's informative book China's Aerospace and Defence Industry (2000) which is probably the best survey of China's armaments industry available for the public. It systematically lists many corporations and weapons systems currently developed and suggests what possible other might be secretly in development. Since China is rapidly becoming a global superpower with geopolitic ambitions not even being hidden by official Peking it is imperative for the rest of the world to know with what stage of weaponry the Chinese leadership is able to use for their future conquests. Especially in the Pacific region, a conflict can arise any moment over the question of Taiwan where US military forces would quickly be involved. DeVore covers all areas of China's military might, including space weaponry supposedly developed under super secret projects currently ongoing at remote areas which come plentifully in vast China. 620 pages, many pictures. A must read from everyone.
