Watch Travis County constable Richard McCain explain the incident, and the whole thing sounds reasonable: The driver was speeding through a construction zone, and disobeyed the deputy’s orders when she got pulled over. So, eventually, the cop zapped her with a Taser.

But then you watch the video of what went down on that strip of Texas highway. And suddenly, the claims of the driver “refusing to move” and getting “violent” suddenly seem ridiculous. Because the driver is a 72 year-old great grandmother who barely makes it up to the cop’s chest. Take a look:

It doesn't look like she was exactly co-operative with the cop but him using the taser on someone so small and frail is just uncalled for. It looks like it's about time for the citizens to police the cops as they have shown they are not capable of behaving responsibly.

seriously though. there is no need to tazer a 72 year old women, no matter what she says or does. unless she pulls out an automatic weapon.... but that didn't happen in this case...

taser proofing for all guys. simply weave interconnected wires into your clothing. My gf does clothing so im going to ask her to make my a taserproof shirt:)

If you rig a capacitor into it you may even be able to blow the device:) that would be funny:)

If you rig a cap into it and it's large enough, you can drain the taser. Wire it to a glove or one in each sleeve and when you touch something conductive (like a person) you'll shock them like you were the taser. You'd have to rig up a rectifier circuit to get it to completely drain the taser and then another contact closure to discharge the cap back up the taser lines.
Of course if the taser goes through the shirt and into your skin, none of that matters.
