I just installed AdBlockPlus. The internet feels far less crowded now. Thank you!

Ad Block Plus is amazing

I've not been on Firefox long but the person who recommended it to me told me to get the ad block plus too and it's brilliant to see all those adds disappear, or rather not see them at all.

And it's well faster as it's mostly the adds that kill your bandwidth and slow things down.

I don't use any security add ons. I assume they got me at the source of my connection anyway and there's nothing I can do about it. The stuff I make the most use of is Performancing for writing and Firebug for finding hidden info. I used to use the BBCODE add on but it's really faster to just type stuff in instead of reaching for the mouse all the time. ;) Oh, and I use some greasemonkey scripts that let me make small boxes bigger for typing in.

NoScript: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/722/

I also like using...

Tab Mix Plus : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1122/
"Tab Mix Plus enhances Firefox's tab browsing capabilities. It includes such features as duplicating tabs, controlling tab focus, tab clicking options, undo closed tabs and windows, plus much more. It also includes a full-featured session manager with crash recovery that can save and restore combinations of opened tabs and windows."

Session Manager : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2324/
"Session Manager saves and restores the state of all windows - either when you want it or automatically at startup and after crashes. Additionally it offers you to reopen (accidentally) closed windows and tabs. If you're afraid of losing data while browsing - this extension allows you to relax...

This extension replaces SessionSaver and Tab Mix Plus' session manager. It stores more data than both of them and should be more reliable in saving and restoring. Although it is not recommended to have more than one session related extension installed, Session Manager is compatible at least with Tab Mix Plus."

ShowIP : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/590/
"Show the IP address of the current page in the status bar. It also allows querying custom services by IP (right mouse button) and Hostname (left mouse button), like whois, netcraft. Additionally you can copy the IP address to the clipboard. This extension was formerly known as ipv6ident."

RefControl : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/953/
"Control what gets sent as the HTTP Referer on a per-site basis.

You create a list of sites, and the referrer that should be sent for each site. You can choose to send that referrer unconditionally or only for third-party requests. Additionally, you can specify the default behavior for any site not in the list."
