Jay-z, Is He In On It?
Quote:And i believe that to be the core issue of the whole hijacking of popular music AND general culture in its entirity. There truly ARE some sick, all-powerful, Satanic-worshipping, child-molesting heads who dictate and direct what is "in", who is "hot", who is gonna make #1 hit for this year etc., in all branches of 21st century pop culture, and more importantly, in all branches of our younger generations minds and souls. The control of that all pervaisive mass-market consciousness is a key component to the enemy's plans, and the buying out of mercenaries like Jay-Z, giving him all the riches and success he wants (which isnt much at all for those in charge) is but part of their game. They know the command he has over his fans, and it is a powerful tool to exploit. nuff said...

Ps - has anyone else noticed the slutish transformation of Nelly Furtado??? i pointed it out to a few mates and they couldnt stop laughing once they had realised. Thoughts on a post (card).

peace

Yeah, I seen that backstage (terrible audio) video. You said pretty much what i've been saying, and have no doubt, there's som "sicko's" in high places in music. That's what I mean about his power rise. The ones with the power will look for who they can use entice to be their puppet! And his thirst of power and rise to it, i found very suspect. The rest of them guys are pretty much regular dudes, real street dudes that are all about making money. You won't see them in suits unless they got a court date. But he has, I believe, shaken the right hands and tapped their interest. None in that fold are able to make the real transfer from street hood to businessman, but him and Dame. And Dame can be very cocky, on and off the camera.

They say that "Eyes Wide Shut" is based on real stuff, and it's not hard to believe that at all. That madam "Heidi Fleiss" said when they where trying to get her to name names, "I'm not going to mention names, but whoever you think is doing it, is doing it, and way freaker than you think they are". This is a new group that can propel jay-Z to unseen heights in the Rap game. What does it say "Do one act of worship to me, and I'll give you the kingdoms of the Earth", with his "corporate" rise to power (mind you several Jobs all at the same time!), shaking hands with the heads of the UN (many believe the UN is the NWO, and he went passed Bush straight to the UN Chief! And This is a Rap Dude!) not mention the "socalled" hand symbols and occultic verses he'll throw in here and there, i think that "act of worship" is far in his past.

As said in the God Father, they gave him a offer that he couldn't refuse! Power!

One reason the war against racism (and sexism) cannot be won is that once a group is admitted to the club of &being white,& or being allowed, in the case of sexism, to use &the flawed white male model,& it already has learned all too well how to play the role of being superior to those still remaining outside those exclusive clubs. The real problem is that the illicit rewards, both tangible and intangible, in a racist and/or sexist society are so enormous that there is hardly any incentive to do otherwise.&

too right Blackthor. again.

Is there some coup going on against Sage Francis or something? the man is a lyrical genius. have you ever heard his Def Poetry Jam shit? or "Makeshift Patriot"? look for some of his radio freestyle jams with Apathy as well. some seriously tight wordplay. I cant comment on Biggie as ive never really heard any, although someone posted some lyrics and they seemed pretty intelligent.

Im not to fond of a lot of music i hear, as the current ideology permeating all music genres is that it has to make money, and is made to make money. The music itself suffers as a consequence as it is simply a means to an end, rather than an end in itself. People like Sage and many others write music for the love of it and that comes across in what you hear. Fair enough they preach about rights n wrongs, but if the content is positive, there is nothing to oppose. Id rather listen to some positive self-righteousness than some ego-trippin self-aggrandisement - Fiddy again comes to mind!!!
I believe that great music sells itself, and doesnt require being mass marketed, or being targeted at a specific age/social group.

what have you guys got against Sage Francis anyways? "Fuck off Sage" isnt a particularly well formed argument. Can you please elaborate?

I believe I didn't say "Fuck Off Sage" although the sentiments were there. Just in case you ask - Yes I have heard his wackness, on several occasions (not through choice), and I despise his holier-than-thou attitude and middle-class angst. It's fuckin' student music!!!:barf:

Personally, I would like to see Rage Against the Machine come back. Or someone they can pass the torch to! I really don't know why they broke up?
