RE: How to cure/reverse brain damage?
same thing happened to me. Was prescribed an anti psychotic, and now I have mainly a sexual problem (anorgasmia). I no longer have any feeling/ ability in bed. Has really changed my life so far, and I am looking for a solution now, going to doctors, etc. never had a problem like this before. I was always very healthy, and could do incredible things in bed with my girl /also alone worked fine. Now nothing at all, no matter what I do or try. from what I have been told the medication has de sensitized my dopamine receptors. Some have said there is a fix for this using dopamine agonists, but I tried one for 2 weeks in morning and in evening , and nothing worked so far..

(06-27-2009 01:00 AM)ormagus Wrote: I also think my pineal gland is pretty calficied from the fluoride contained in the risperidone (among others). I found studies on PubMed linking pineal calcification to tardive dyskinesia, melatonin secretion deregulation, and antipsychotics. Hello. Very difficult questions you have for us... I feel for you brother. I don't know what your "brain damage" was in the first place BEFORE the medications "damaged" you even more. If that is the case. I was going to respond on several aspects, but I felt uncomfortable since I've never personally gone through anything like this, and it would only be "theoretical". However, one thing I can speak of that I've personally been involved with is the activation of the pineal gland. And let me start by saying this: It has NOTHING to do with taking chemicals or modern medicine to acheive. Now, I wrote a post a while back on Outlaw forum and will copy paste my thoughts here for you: http://www.outlawjournalism.com/forum/vi...=14&t=7128 How to Activate Your Pineal Gland Many years ago I did research about “astral voyaging”. I read many books and tried many techniques. I’m not going to expose here all my findings on this topic, because this is not the objective. Please note, that I’m not saying that “astral voyages” is real or not, nor am I promoting or negating. However, while practicing some of the techniques I unintentionally discovered something very interesting. In a nut shell, there is a way to stimulate the body in a way that leads to a very intense feeling; almost like a total body orgasm. I’ll try to explain this by using some know physical nervous concepts, but I’m not sure that this is the only and best way to describe the phenomena. I used the title: How to Activate Your Pineal Gland, because this is the most logical way to describe what may be happening. Note: I did a quick search on the internet, and while I did find some mentions on “Pineal Gland activation”, nothing really explains my method and what I feel from it. The method is simple and difficult at the same time. It consists of “sending your consciousness” into a small focal point in your body. You guessed it; the pineal gland (or the zone where they say it is). This may seem simple, but to really compress consciousness into the size of a “pea” needs concentration. I use the term “consciousness”, because it’s the best way to explain my thought. I could also be “conscious energy”, or “focus thinking”, etc. In other words, all your attention must be centered at one specific small zone located somewhere between your eyes in the middle of your head. I’m not an expert at knowing exactly where is the “sweet spot” that I call the pineal gland, so I say “somewhere between the eyes in the middle of your head”. I say this, because the method is to “search” for a “feeling” when you focus your consciousness toward that location. Best is to be in bed in the dark and in a very relaxed state. I do a few breathing exercises, but to take my mind away the internal mind babbling. The feeling: If you succeed at finding “that location” in your head with your “conscious” you will feel something that is sort of like a total body orgasm. Only thing is that it only lasts 1-3 seconds. Sort of like, hitting the pineal gland will ZAP your entire body within it’s neural network, but cannot last, because the network needs to recharge again. I can do this ZAPPING a few times, but then I lose my ability to focus, and to be honest I’m pretty giddy and content. I did try a few times to keep the conscious focus on the pineal, but could not. My mind just can’t stay there for a long time. I’ve been playing around focusing my consciousness elsewhere, but still have to find a direct and immediate effect. I’m still in the research phase and who knows what I’ll discover. But, so far… the pineal ZONE is the very pleasurable. I hope this can help you. Moreover, if I was you I would look into other form of holistic healing such as Taoism (healing of internal organs). This will heal you from deep within using energy rather than chemicals. Peace and love be with you A man doesn't grow a beard. A beard grows a man... Peace, Love, and Light. |

RE: How to cure/reverse brain damage?
Hey ormagus. I share a very similar story with you.
I was injected with zyprexa, and I have all the symtoms you describe. I'm just 0.1% of my former self. I would be very interested to hear how you are coping? I don't know if you read this forum still as this is an old thread. Hope you respond. If anyone know how I can send a private message to ormagus? It says I can't but I just registered, so if anyone can explain the rules for messaging? |

RE: How to cure/reverse brain damage?
Hey, ormagus, have things got any better? I have been feed resperdal for 2 weeks and had an injection of resperdal consta, + about a month of haldol and even stelazine. I feel the same lack of motivation, emotional response and feel like my perception has permanently changed. Don't even want to wake up in the morning. Also got the libido problem + gained 10 kg recently, and working out has become a pain since all my muscles are in a terrible state, can't even do pull-ups anymore, although used to have a lean body and could do 10+. It's been a month since I've got of the meds and things don't seem to get to what they were before.

RE: How to cure/reverse brain damage?
besides high dosages of Vitamine D3 I would try the Hericium mushroom
"[...] In another small Japanese study with a randomized sample of 30 women, ingesting lion's mane showed that "Hericum erinaceus intake has the possibility to reduce depression and anxiety, and these results suggest a different mechanism from NGF-enhancing action of H. erinaceus." (Nagano et al. 2010). In light of the numerous diseases related to neurodegeneration, lion's mane deserves more clinical attention. If lion's mane enhances memory and is an antidepressant, can consuming this mushroom alter the course of Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases? Could this mushroom help Parkinson's patients or those with multiple sclerosis, or maybe maintain your mental acumen as you age? Lion's mane is a relatively inexpensive, easily-cultivated fungal food that may prove to be therapeutic in ways beyond being tasty. Lion's mane may be our first "smart" mushroom. It is a safe, edible fungus that appears to confer cognitive benefits on our aging population. Unfortunately, lion's mane is not available in most grocery stores. But you can buy kits to grow them at home, and organic lion's mane supplements are available at some health food stores. " http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-stame...25583.html |
