Fighting 4 Our Privileges
[font=Times New Roman][size=2][b][i][color=#009900]
Before we talk about anything that has to do with America, I strongly believe That, in order to have an EDUCATED opinion, we ought to go back in time, When the Constitution and The Bill Of RIGHTS was formulated. In UNDERSTANDING them, we can have a concrete view on the atrocities that the government, and our own Lack of knowlege and Neglect, have led us to. I'm gonna post a link here that will take you to free classes on the Constitution and the Bill of rights. It's a total of about 7 classes (1 hr each). I'm on my way to watching the second class. How much did you know about your RIGHTS before watching them classes? I would like to hear your opinion about it the subject. I for one, after watching the first class alone, realized I didn't know ANYTHING about it.....Lol....it's Sad, but TRUE. It's "funny" we don't learn it in Depth on our "school" SYSTEM. http://openyourmindseye.blogspot.com/2006/...yer-for_09.html |

Fighting 4 Our Privileges
Apparently they used to teach it in Civics class. I guess it was superfluous...
MMM Give me the judgment of balanced minds in preference to laws every time. Codes and manuals create patterned behavior. All patterned behavior tends to go unquestioned, gathering destructive momentum.

Fighting 4 Our Privileges
Quote:"privileges"? Did you all graduate from Stalin High School or something? You can assemble freely and have freedom of speech and other things because you exist, and for no other reason. Those are neither rights nor priviledges, they are functions of human existence. You cannot be granted those rights or priviledges any more than you can be granted the right to pee or breathe. |

"You cannot be granted those rights"
You're right, I agree, I think you missed my point. |

.....Lol....I'm being Sarcastic with my post "fighting 4 our priviledges"....."we" americans , are fighting 4 our privileges instead of owning up to our rights......Rghts cannot be "fought" for because it's something we are born with....it's already ours.......however , We've been acting like our rights is a priviledge, like we need permition to have it...

Fighting 4 Our Privileges
Quote:We've been acting like our rights is a priviledge, like we need permition to have it... No argument there. Civics was required for me as a freshman in high school, but it has since been removed from the curriculum. Even when I took it, I don't think it was taught properly. The laundry list of items in the "Bill of Rights" is a written acknowledgement of the limits of government powers, yet it is often deceivingly taught as a grant by the government as rights or priviledges. That happened because the left, ie Social Democrats/Young People's Socialist League (Jews), got into the courts and schools and every where else. I don't know when the "official" date was, but the US has not been a federal system for some time. The former federal government has evolved into a national government and the states have given up their sovereignity and are now nothing more than administrative units that execute the policies of the national government and that will ultimately result in dictatorship. |
