Really Old News
I've always knew that Bush's ranch in Crawford was a fake but I didn't know the backstory. I stumbled on this article and I found it excellent so I thought I'd link it.
What a fake PR scam. Bush's real retreat was at a place called the "Rainbo Club".. aaahhhemm. Something interesting to me is the comment from the reader on the bottom who's from the area and says that the Bush ranch is closer to Waco than the Branch Davidian Compound...:crazy:I wonder how far it is from the 33rd parallel? Quote:PHONY TO THE CORE: The "Ole Family Ranch" in Crawford is a Set Completed the Same Day the That's not right. Crawford is west of Waco and Henderson County is just southeast of D/FW. Waco is only about an hour and a half drive from Austin and Henderson is easily 3 1/2 hours drive from Austin. My ex-wife's family lives in Waco and I lived in Dallas for 14 years and drove to Austin many-a-time for a good ol' 6th Street drunken crawl. :drunk: The Branch Davidian Compound is 10 miles northeast of Waco and Crawford is 18 miles west of Waco. Getting these basic facts wrong makes me doubt the accuracy of the rest of it. “Today’s scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality. ” -Nikola Tesla "When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix |

You know I think it may be a little misunderstanding. "Closer to the comforts of Austin" probably means it's more of a rich guy's retreat not meaning the actual distance. She says Henderson is an hour south from Dallas not Austin.
The info about Waco was from a reader comment on the bottom. I just thought I'd include it. She should have checked it out though. After hearing that he can't ride I thought that I'd seen him on a horse at some time or another so I did a fairly good search for Bush on a horse pictures and I can't seem to find one. So, I think that might be true. &We didn't have education. We had inspiration. If I was educated, I'd be a damn fool.& -Bob Marley

Quote:The Branch Davidian Compound is 10 miles northeast of Waco and Crawford is 18 miles west of Waco. Is this to Crawford the City or Bush's ranch itself? I know that the two could be miles apart. &We didn't have education. We had inspiration. If I was educated, I'd be a damn fool.& -Bob Marley
