These quotes from the article are very telling, "These f***ing idiots (RIAA) are going after a campaign that the label signed off on." It's the label, and it's odd one would think it's somehow Trent only making these decisions and not a team of 25 year-old label marketers.

Also... "The source added that the campaign will continue for the next 18 months."

In other words, the free music and "bootlegging" is 100% a part of an establishment campaign. I actually work directly with label marketers in my job, and marketing "campaigns" have firm beginning and end dates, and a well planned structure and criteria for success of failure. I'm not trying to make you wrong or me right, but am just pointing out that the labels themselves say they're doing this "subversive" marketing. I'm not saying don't listen and enjoy their product either. Simply know that this is being marketed by THE MAN, no less than Britney Spears and the rest of them. It may seem odd at first, but it's simply the truth.

i don't really care about all the opinions all i care about is the author's message. if i had a chance to interview trent i could say i understand what's going on here but i won't so i don't so i have to take it for what it is and if you would just read it you would see trent is finally on our side.

notice how he spelled the word 'capitol' with the O and not the A. i bet there's tons of people who won't even catch that but it was the first thing i noticed. goes back his song "head like a hole" and "God Money". and if you ever write the word "god" you better write it with a capital G otherwise you're going straight to hell :LOL: what's worse is that in christianity they even capitalize other word referring to god like "He" and "Him" (hence the band called "HIM"), etc. it's sick.

I think him admitting he was an OINK member and a big fan of free music torrent communities was a pretty interesting endorsement. It was a far cry from Metallica and their beef with file sharing.
