if it ain't broke, don't fix it
![]() ------------------ &I've come to the conclusion, after having spent many years in politics, is that our presidential elections turn out to be more of a charade than anything else, and I think that is true today. It is a charade,& - Ron Paul, Sept 2008. ------------------ We're in a lot of trouble, watch this - http://www.youtube.com/v/3L3QVn4JyYA ------------------ ![]() ![]() ------------------ You cannot tax someone's labor because that is slavery - Ed Brown, June 18 2007 ------------------ The world's &freeest& country has the highest number in prison. - arundhati roy ------------------ The crisis of modern democracy is a profound one. Free elections, a free press and an independent judiciary mean little when the free market has reduced them to commodities available on sale to the highest bidder. - arundhati roy ------------------ The era of manufacturing consent has given way to the era of manufacturing news. Soon media newsrooms will drop the pretense, and start hiring theater directors instead of journalists. - arundhati roy ------------------ The structure of capitalism is flawed. The motor that powers it cannot but vastly increase the disparity between the poor and the rich globally and within countries as well. Parecon is a brave argument for replacing that flawed machine and offers a much needed -- more equitable, democratic, participatory -- alternative economic vision. - arundhati roy ------------------ [The choice between John Kerry and George Bush] is not a real choice. It's an apparent choice. Like choosing a brand of detergent. Whether you buy Ivory Snow or Tide, they're both owned by Proctor & Gamble. - arundhati roy ------------------ No government's condemnation of terrorism is credible if it cannot show itself to be open to change by nonviolent dissent - arundhati roy ![]() ------------------ Dr. Hermann Oberth who pioneered rocket design for the German Reich during World War II and later advanced rocket technology for the American manned space launches, cryptically stated: "We cannot take the credit for our record advancement in certain scientific fields alone; we have been helped." When asked by whom, he replied: "The people of other worlds." |

Actually VISTA is selling like fucking hotcakes at IHOP. This sorta shit always happens with new OS's, just like it happened with XP many years ago. I just dont understand how they can keep making new OS's that are not compatible with old stuff???? :eyebrow:
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal. As a reputed atheist, the reverential nature of his film was surprising, but Pasolini himself said &If you know that I am an unbeliever, then you know me better than I do myself. I may be an unbeliever, but I am an unbeliever who has a nostalgia for a belief.&

I hate it. I have an old Lexmark printer that I have had since 2001. It still works great but not with this Vista crap. If this trend continues Bill Gates will not be the world's richest man much longer. I had XP when it first came out and liked it even though many didn't. Vista is pure shit, they should not have released it until every computer accessory company had downloads for it .
I always thought there might be a lot of cash in starting a religion-George Orwell |

This is EXACTLY the kinda shit that I like to hear. I am a PC loyalist and have no intention of ever switching to a Mac (this being said, it's also the inevitable truth that Macs are going strong. I give it 5-10 years, maybe less before Mac OS becomes the new Windows). But this just warms my heart. It's true that Vista tried to mimic Mac in an effort to try and make it seem "fun". A lot of the "gadgets" have a similar resemblance to the ones that can be found on a Mac. Another thing, and this should make Vista illegal, is the way they try to sell it (to gamers at least) by making it so that Halo 2 will only work on a Vista. What a dirty way to make money. But its good to see average joes force a major computer company to go against mainstream.
&During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.& - George Orwell &I made a god, out of blood, not superiority, I killed the king of deceit, now I sleep in anarchy.&-KMFDM
