I have read this ill written defense of hadith as historical factual data, but thanks for offering. I would rather spend the afternoon reading something from the same realm, namely...spiderman comics. HOw about you start to answer some of all the questions you have been asked. But perhaps the problem is that you dont have an answer because you dont know what you belive, only what you are being told is true. But did you fact check, did you do this?:

did you fact check the book and its sources, or do you just eat everything given to you raw, if the guy who gives it has a long beard and a ridiculous style in clothing and claims to be a scholar?

It does so through the hadith. Very little is known from the Quran itself about any messengers, and only that they were in fact mesengers and what their job was this part of the book is fully in line with the Quran. But then it sets up its own environment again through the hadith as if he needs bukhari to verify your God. I think thats pretty funny.

The whole books rests for the most part on oral traditions. Not only that it goes on to create a muslim talmud where various "scholars" gets to redefine words and terms. I think you should read the book again. no really!
