Just for the record and not that it should even be bloody relevant, but I'm not a Muslim either, nor follower of any organised religion. I've read and studied from them all and taken the best from each to incorporate into the path for my life. However, I place my humanity, reason and respect for fellow warriors and others before any religious doctrine. Everyone has their personal sanctity to which they find solace and comfort and it is there's alone and only a problem when it affects the ability to discern justice and defend freedom for all. We all have our 'sacred cows' Mike, even yourself, so how would you feel if someone mocked something you believed in or a practice that your family engages in that maybe we don't understand? It is up to the women of those countries to speak up and fight if they feel oppressed and not someone who has nary taken the time to understand the dynamics of their culture. Do you think by mocking them and deriding their beliefs in that way, that a woman of that culture would be persuaded to a different way of thinking? Do you also denigrate Quaker women who must dress with modest covering as a result of their religion as well? Since you are inquiring of others religious beliefs, what are yours Mike, and do they teach the practice of humiliating other faiths and cultures?

LMAO... another fucked up religion/nation. The whole Middle East is one giant cesspool of ignorance and insanity.

The day you take away anyones right to do anything you open the door for governments to take everyones rights.in my book if it dosen't affect the rights of another natural person its ok by me.

It's only a photo and if you look carefully, the guy facing the chick with the headgear has a smile on his face, I wonder what his 2 hands are up to

Mike don't let your frustrations of the week and a few beers go to your head. I don't believe in these religions either but I don't attack people for it neither

It would be nice to 'discuss' this photo in a reasonable manner!

The amount of covering that this lady has on, form what I have heard is NOT Islamic law. Others can tell me exactly what it says in the koran. But some thing to the effect of Hair Upper arms and legs must be covered.

In my opinion even this is justified by 'It is the womans fault by showing her beauty, she is causing men to want to have extramarital relations with her'.

Thing is , it doesn't work (not very well anyway), I once knew a reasonably outgoing woman who wore the burka, You could tell she was good figured through it and it makes the eyes much more powerful in the expressions. I was able to appriciate her womanliness in the same way I can with any western woman.

Got to go have more to say but I will check back. Can other people give REASONABLE and respectful views on this and maybe clarification about what is definately required and what is tagged on so to speak.

It's pretty interesting that you chose to use the term "ignorance". It's a pretty telling characterstic of a bigot to condemn off the bat, everything that doesn't fit in his narrow-minded frame of reference.

Like the other folks said, you are able to make intelligent and/or constructive contributions and I advice you to stick to that routine, unless you want the rest of the site (minus the few who share your leanings of intolerance) to think that you in fact are the ignorant little cunt around here.
