He'd spend far too much time there anyhow. Hell, he wasn’t ashamed to admit that. When you get to know people simply by observing their argumentative skills, you can be reasonably sure you could stand for a break from them. What made matters worse, though, was the fact that he could practically predict verbatim what reaction the moderators would have in relation to a particular reply or comment. Regrettably, the powers of ESP he thought he’d recently gained suddenly turned out to be nothing more than a keen sense of observation.

“Some master prognosticator you turned out to be,” he said to no one.

The senior forum moderator had banned him again, that much was true, but this time it was far more serious than that. His IP had been TASERED, and this time there would be no resuscitation to bring it back. He was out…for good.

Hours strung into days. Shadows crawled across the floor and nightfall chased them up the walls until a new day dawned and drew out the process over and over until he could take it no longer.

Sunday, September 09, 2007, he set out on an Internet(s) journey to locate a new forum at which he could call himself home.

At 11 PM, he registered at Conspiracy Central…because, hell, if it’s good enough for listeners of A View from Space, he figured, it had to be good enough for him.

By 11:45, he’d finished off his first post, a little something to throw into the “Welcome” forum, and was just about to post it when…

**spoken to self** Okay, okay…[slapping my own face in a concerted effort to come back to reality]…no more of that crap. Just say hello and introduce yourself and move along. There’s really no need of theatrics.

**spoken to everyone else** Well then, hello! I’m Charles Copeland and I’ll be your resident horror writer for the time being…unless there’s already one registered here, in which case I’ll go on to being something else of great importance…say…a chainsaw juggler. ;]

It’s a pleasure to meet all of you. I look forward to uncovering all sorts of backroom, underground, eyes-only stuff with you.
