Megan Meier ...might cause more internet censorship
This whole Megan Meier story is getting out of proportion, especially where politicans are starting to find new ways to censor the internet. I feel sorry for the girl, but its her parent's fault to start with. They let their daughter go on this fictiuous online relationships and not take into consideration what problems it might cause. The girl was a basketcase to begin with ADD & Depression for a 13 year old, she should have been better monitored by her parents. Anyway here what fauxnews had to say about it...check the last part especially they don't mention what law they will pass but it seems that it will be bringing in more censorship on the internet.

Megan Meier ...might cause more internet censorship
Too bad, such a sad story. Would suck if it causes more tyranny, the politicians should get some real work done and quite trying to fix these type of things.
Who asked for them to any way, surely it wasn't the majority  &Alice laughed, &There's no use trying,& she said: &one can't believe impossible things.& &I daresay you haven't had much practice,& said the Queen. &When I was your age I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.& - Lewis Carroll &Things are seldom as they seem ... Skim milk masquerades as cream.& - Gilbert and Sullivan (Pinafore) At NASA, it really is rocket science, and the decision makers really are rocket scientists. But a body of research that is getting more and more attention points to the ways that smart people working collectively can be dumber than the sum of their parts. .. Irwin Janis? &Groupthink:& is a mode of thinking that people engage in when they are deeply involved in a cohesive in-group, when the members' striving for unanimity override realistic appraisals ? It is the triumph of concurrence over good sense, and authority over expertise.& -John Schwartz & Matthew L. Wade |
