A Question for Christians on God

Easy Skanking, I am like CTRL, except I do ocassionally go, actually I think I have been about 3 or 5 times since 05, but that is good for me. Not all churches require that you don't ask, my wife's, before we met did. As far as updates, if it is pure, no updates are needed. Like science, I think that religion has been used by TPTB for their own control too.

Funny, one day when I was sick, I actually watched some TV. Discovery had a show that said that God is an exterrestrial, that was enough for my wife to stomp out of the room and tell me I shouldn't watch it. I never was able to get her to see that God is not from here, he made here, and if He is from there, he is an exterrestrial. Just one word tuned her out.

I can't argue with most of what you stated, I'd like to, but can't. Not all are sucked into the traps set or the dogma behind it, but then again, not all the dogma is bad. The one thing I haven't let TPTB take away from me is God, nor have I let them change Him.

We were always taught that each person was responsible for their own actions, and the God helps nobody that doesn't help themselves. If you don't mind me asking, what denomination were you? If that is prying or offensive, I aplogise in advance.
